His lack of consistency stems from the way he feels. A characteristic of most creative people. His relationship with his coach is what will bring the best out, see his years at herenveen and you'll understand.

Other than that, he just collects a paycheck like everyone else.

Gird1888 is not far wrong. I believe Samaras has wonderful talent, but he is a lazy bugger. He does not pay for the shirt and he does not play for 90 minutes. He is not playing first team for Celtic because he just looks stupid on the park at the moment. I think he has lost his way, but some day he'll find it again. It may not be at Celtic though. When I first saw him I thought "Batistuta" but since then, something is wrong with him.

Idiot? no, but I am very much a celtic fan I can assure you, that is why I am so angry at players like Samaras who have come to our club and are not only not good enough but don't give all they've got for 90minutes. Samaras has not played for celtic in our last 3 games, he is fit but most of the time he doesn't make the bench this is because our new temporary manager can see how bad he is.

Samaras has one of the worst 1st touches I have ever seen. His control of the ball is terrible. If his 1st touch is bad then his 2nd touch is worse. Rather than play a team mate in on goal he will shoot from pointless angles. Very greedy player only scores tap ins. poor poor poor
