During the 60s, Philippines ranked second behind only by Japan in terms of economy. Now Philippines lags behind neighborhood countries namely Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, and Indonesia . Now most filipinos would contently settle that Philippines is just a little ahead of Vietnam, who has a faster economy growth rate than the Phil. and in fact one of the fastest economy growth rate in the world. Pasig is so damn filthy, unlike Chao Praya river of Bangkok which is quite the opposite.
i dont think na ma eliminate totally ang pollution ang trash ng pasig river! malilinis nyo yan but it has to be maintain! for a couple of things, first kailangan marelocate ninyo lahat ang mga squatters or else babalik din yan,#2 what about what orosamel just mention the tributaries?where some of the pollution are coming from? #3 what about the factories na ginagamit ang ilog? kailangan din ninyo sila i relocate or theyll just continue to keep polluting the river!
trojan0919 - salamat sa comment. Pasig River is only approx. 19 kilometers long but the water tributaries are over 100 kilometers long. most of the water pollution somes from these tributaries. Because of their connection to Ilog Pasig, we need to involve them as well . . .. and this goes for Laguna de Bay as well. . . . Salamat uli.
