@runescapers25 All the people I know who "have one" Actually built theirs from scratch, more or less. It actually shouldn't be too hard to find the exact chassis specs and dimensions online. The Rest you could go and buy the official kit part's or does some substitution fabrication with other car parts. A fella I know built his own frame out of tube. His rear end is a modified ford 8.8 inch solid axle, a modified Datsun Manual rack and pinion steering, and a Honda Type R motor.
probably just like a modern F1 setup. But not an exact copy, since this is front engine. Looking at the package of this car, it hasn't got room underneath the seats. Plus that would raise the center of gravity. The best place probably be right in front of the driver and behind the engine. That would centralize the mass as well. With the current setup we have a heavy fuel tank at the back, which means when the rear tires are gone and the tank is almost empty the car must get pretty tail happy.
@ravman690 It's called the gocart run eveyone does one. This is a shake down to check the mechanicals. But mostly it's a chance taste the fruits of your labor and keep the momentum going. The other obligatory shot is the vroom vroom shot. You sitting in the just completed chassis still on the build table hands on imaginary steering wheel and shifter going... VROOM!! VROOM!!!
Hooray for the Beetle at 0:50 !

i wanna build one of thouse do you have to buy a kit or something please coment me back and tell me how to get it
runescapers25 3 years ago
No, you don't "have" to buy a kit. If you've got common sense you can build one from scratch...
But if you had that, you wouldn't be asking that question. This is a quintessential car, one I suggest you research more.
Lots of books out there, but be careful. Lots of technological advancements since some were written. Good to bone up on, but not really follow.

Lots of kits available on the market. Depends on where in the world you live, what suppliers that is close.

It looks sick just like that! But the fuel tank in the back. How safe is that? Isn't it the same setup as the 50s grand prix machines?
