The greatest of all gifts God gave us is the gift of salvation through Jesus Christ. Other gifts are just temporal gifts like money, health, skills, abilities, power, good family, etc. The video is right, all these things are not ours but God's and given to us to enjoy and share to others too. But let me add a straight forward reason why God give them to us. God gives man temporal gifts to be used in winning others to Christ that they may also have eternal life through Christ and joy in Christ.
You didn't finish the verse. It says, "You are saved by grace through faith and this [is] not of yourselves, it is the gift of God." Another good one is: All things are from Him, through HIm and to HIm.
You wicked man. What kind of man wouldn't expose evil even if it's his own children? Is your family your idol. Wouldn't you preach the bare bone gospel to them even if it hurts?
Wonderful message!...Luke learned a valuable lesson...that many adults can't seem to comprehend!...Salvation is the ~free gift~ of YAH by the Grace of YAH...available to everyone that believes.
If there really is everlasting life through jesus, then I guess it's ok to eat as many 'fwies' as you want. The quicker that plaque builds up in your arteries, the quicker we get to meet our benevolent maker. Supersize me!
Mark does the best explanation in his Born Again series that I have ever seen. A must have as a ministry tool to share the gospel of Jesus Christ to those who do not know Him.
wow, this video was much deeper than I assumed at first, and a variety of issues too beyond mere generosity. It complete reverses and shatters the fallen way of thinking that still clings to the new creation. great insight that is truly fresh and new compared to my current culture and habit.
Great message although most of us know this it is such a great reminder of how great our God really is when we dont deserve this at all! Thanks for posting this.
"Mother Teresa's Missionaries of Charity had over 4,000 sisters, an associated brotherhood of 300 members, over 100,000 lay volunteers, operating 610 missions in 123 countries. These included hospices and homes for people with HIV/AIDS, leprosy and tuberculosis, soup kitchens, children's and family counseling programs, personal helpers, orphanages, and schools." - Quote from Wikipedia
But of everything she did, none of that helped her at all, because she wasn't saved by grace and through faith!

I'm glad you admit that doing something is better than doing nothing at the end.
