@andykins118118 Surely your just as sad for replying? And i don't see how replying to someone makes someones dad their uncle... i think you need to study how a family tree works.
@Deyphier it popped up in my inbox, and my replies tend to be based on the tone of the comment. the person tried to be a douche so i was one back. i honestly don't think it matters, it's youtube. and replying has nothing to do to it its the fact that he had nothing better to do than try to be smart to a 2 month old comment.
@JustynShane god forbid i be stupid a year ago and deal with things measured in feet per second much more often than frames per second. i got corrected about a day after i posted the comment.
ok heres wat it is imagine a chip that holds like ALOT of pictures then they fill it up and play it its just pictures only played really fast the most pictures the more slower it will lookthing cannont be tooken at 1,000,000 frames per second lol ud be taking like 20minutes to watch a bullet fly threw the air XD
Our eyes see aprroximately 30 fps. We can see as many fps captured on camera as we want, it is slowed down, that's what makes us able to see it. In reality you wouldn't see every stage of the glass shattering like this which is why they had a camera do it. The fact that we couldn't normally see this is what makes it so interesting for us to watch.
actually i did some research and found that our eyes actually don't have a 'frame rate' at which they capture, our eyes are always recieving motion as long as there is light. Everyone that says that our eyes capture up to 32 fps are completely misguided by whatever they were looking at. The eye sees FLUID (no blurring) motion at about 32 fps so anything above that is the same looking at 32 fps. THIS DOES NOT MEAN THE EYE ONLY CAN SEE 32 FPS!!!
try waving your hand in front of your face and tell me there's no blurring. the eyes see an image and sends it to the brain in the form of a signal. there is a finite amount of signals that can be sent to the brain per second. signals sent through nerves aren't instantaneous they they time. want proof, take a 1$ bill and make sure its flat, go to a friend and say if he can catch it midair he can keep it. hold it between his fingers so that the face is in between them, drop it, he wont catch it
I don't even get how this argument started... The original comment was about the frames per second... This guy obviously had no idea about over/undercranking video or film. So, mr. 666... The point is that... you shoot in a super high frame rate... and then slow it down for playback. This gives you a lot more to look at and the motion is captured for you to enjoy.

Is there limitations on this camera with regards to how long you can record (due to heat), depth of field considerations, aperture settings etc?
As a diver, I was also curious as to whether anyone has shot underwater film using high speed cameras. The logistics would be maddening I suppose.
