Just a few weeks ago, I was thinking about the Heinz commercial and all I could remember was the bottle being passed down the row. Great seeing it again 20+ years later.
Coach ran for nine seasons on ABC, in several different timeslots, none more disastrous than the Monday at 8PM timeslot used in season seven (1994-1995.) ABC thought it would be a wise idea to have Coach and MNF together on Monday night. Since Monday Night Football aired live nationwide, Coach's ratings suffered, especially out west, when the show aired after the game. The ABC station in Seattle (KOMO) ran Coach on Saturday afternoons in season seven as a result of the low ratings.
@FutureNewsAnchor Yup, the move to Mondays was very bad, but I think the move to Saturdays in 96 was the death blow (That time slot took down both Coach and Married With Children at the same time!)... :)
