  • Brother THIS ONE ^ ^ ;) YEAHHHHH!

  • @mckeowntc HEY MDC *-* these are my accts & I hope you find this video because it is excellent.

  • Fantastic. Now if only more bands realized that words are unnecessary we'd be moving in the right direction. People realized this in the late sixties and BOOM the Jazz Fusion movement was born parenting the groove based/oriented approach. Anyone who likes this is urged to check out Bob James. His track Nautilus is quite possibly the most sampled track of all time.

  • I made out with a girl to this song, took mushrooms for the first time, and found 50 bucks on the street. This is a magical song.

  • what a drop! :)

  • beastie song ever

  • Adrock's a better guitarist than I'll ever be!

  • 37 people suck.

  • MCA plays a mean bass. I wonder why, apart from their early punk days, they never did any albums just straight forward drum, bass, guitar and vocals.

  • @brantisonfire Check out The Mix-Up and The In Sound From Way Out. Both are nothing but jam sessions with the boyz....

  • Excellent!!! le son est fantastique!!!

  • im losing my mind right now...

  • I want to be in a room with a bunch of cool people playing music too. Just love the jam. Way to go B-Boys!

  • that guitar part sounds like 96 tears from question mark and the mysterians a little

  • NUFF RESPECT TO THE BEASTIE BOYS FOR DROPPING THIS INSTRUMENTAL/BEAT CD. THIS JOINT SUITS ME WELL WHEN IM ON THE HIGHWAY. THIS WHOLE CD IS THE THEME MUSIC TO MY LIFE. THIS IS A TALENTED TRIO. PEACE

  • My new ringtone :D

  • Now this is what I call Kicking it "Root Down".

    Real old school soundin' shit.

  • such a powerful song. i cant hear it enough

  • nice song to mellow out to

  • 3:04-3:40 Straight cash homie

  • I knew they started off in punk but for some reason it just seems weird to see them playing instruments, this is dope though it's like live instrumental hip-hop.

  • this is such a creative gift from beastie boys. i love this release and dont ever tire of hearing it! such creativity, amazing!

  • This is the sh!t I love from the b-boys.. Wish they would stop it with all the computer music.. take it back to the "Check Your Head" days!!

  • 33 people don't like white boys.

  • fuck you the 33 disslikes

  • Best use of flanger, ever. I just wish tabs for this whole album weren't impossible to find :(

  • bad ass song !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Thank.

  • Love it!

  • ..If the beatles and Rage against the machine had a musical child!

  • I listen to this disk regularly, love it! Gets me outa my head.

  • 32 people need hearing aids..

  • dudes... i could cry everytime i listen to this song... its PERFECT...(a real "ear orgasm") ;) nice jobe beastie boys... (L) this song is forever for me...

  • @nerea15junio Eargasm?

  • I love that they do and play how they feel, when they feel it !!

  • After listening to this I nearly hate them for not pursuing this sound 25 years ago.

  • Their music never stops getting better.

  • sweet and funk, these guys are amazing, i really love their music its my favorite band since i was a child , great job

  • Why is it so fucking awesome???? Beastie Boys are highly talented long lasting... I can't believe they are the 1st album I ever bought with my own money from mowing lawns when I was 12 or 13... I am so proud of myself...

  • love it

  • you can't go wrong w/the b*boys. they always have and still remain as one of my all time favorites. be true to yourself and you will never fall.

  • Daaaaamn, I need a cigarette after watching that! Whew!

  • Badass, yo Beastie Boys,u rock it!

  • Who are the 32 people who dislike this? Seriously? This is awesome, my fave band of all time and they just get better, like a fine wine. My life sounds better with them in it!

  • this is the iceing on the B boys musical cake awesome they just keep getting better

  • I like the B-boys, but I loved the B-boys until they started getting political. Regardless of what your bent is, politics is selfish and soulless. They're about "what can I do for me". The exact opposite of what music should be. Great band, but like some great bands, tarnished by using their bully pulpit to preach selfish politics rather than stick with the spirituality and beauty of music.

  • @Tikayyan yep fuck off and stick to Taylor Swift then mate.

  • @DinkiDiDude heh. ill just leave that for what it's worth. mate.

  • @Tikayyan Have you ever heard any of their so-called "political messages"? You might actually agree with them. Surprise surprise. These guys are proponents oh Buddhism and are friends to the Dali Lama. Doesn't get much more spiritual than that.

  • @incollege27 No, I haven't heard them in the six bboys records I own. Which is why I said that. Obviously!? Five boroughs is not slam full of them of course. If Donald Trump supported buddhism and high fived the dali lama, it would not make him any more spiritual or less of an idiot. It's what you say in your music. I do not listen to music to hear the dipshitted political opinion of any band who's music I may love, but irl probably wouldn't let tie my shoe.

  • azz che bell!!

  • it all makes sense!!!

  • the end of time

  • cant stop rockin

  • fing awesome,,,,forever?????????

  • the beastie boys started HIP HOP! Yeah! My high school years were defined by these awesome musicians. yeah!

  • #WTF#

  • Just skimmed through a few of their songs, this is the only one other than sabotage, great song.

  • I gotta hand it the Beastie Boys...They are still a group, They still record despite the fact that they have enough money to get high and fuck off, and they still rock hard. they do it. They do the shit they waNNA DO. tHEY ARE LIVING THE DREAM MOTHERFUCKERS! yOU GOTTA LOVE THAT SHIT! fUCK ALL OF YALL!

  • @blacktopaz8 why are you angry for no reason dude?

  • Another example of how GREAT the Beasties really are!!! Wish I could get a new album every week.

  • Freshest shit. Nice, y'all.

  • dis song is teh sucks.

  • Songs like this PROVE that the Beastie Boys are actual MUSICIANS, not sample monkeys like most hiphop producers. A lot of beatmakers can't play an instrument and just swipe samples from other people's work.

  • @grumblekin you rotten faggot you don't know a god damn thing about sampling, monkeys, hip hop producers, and your own god damn ass and elbows. For your misinformed information, a lot of hip hop producers can play multiple instruments. And when it suits them, the Beasties themselves take loops and slap drums over em all day long. And the beats they do make are not on the level of the Premos, Pete Rocks, J DIllas, Hi Teks, Madlibs, Diamond Ds... Or any other so called sample junky.

  • From punk to hip hop to good talented musicians. People who have only heard Intergalactic, should become more open. Agree that this one of the most underrated albums from the 2000's. The only artists who have put out good music in the past decade have been real musicians. And the Beastie Boys are one of them.

  • in the sound from they way out and the mix up are two of the best albums i have ever heard. it pains me when people who are so ignorant of the beastie boys have no idea that they play instruments, and can create songs like this. intergalactic and fight for your right are tunes! but the beasties have done soooo much more!

  • in the sound from the way out and the mix up are two of the best albums i have ever heard. it pains me when people who are so ignorant of the beastie boys are clueless that they play instruments, and have no idea that they have created songs that are so unlike intergalactic and fight for your right. they are really good songs! but they have done sooooo much more!

  • love dis song must get da album, any other good songs from dat album does anyone have any suggestions?

  • @mackymadness86 14th streat break, the rat cage, pretty much every song on the album is awesome

  • Mix -up album is great!

  • Maybe i don't but i love this whole album. love to kick back and fire one up to this. They are playing Instruments to make Music. Wish more Bands did the same

  • No one here understands the meaning of an instrumental

  • @Samogen ooooomg dude your soooo right man...its like really your listening to the RAAADIOOO!!! DUUUUUDE WHAAT?? NO ONE HERE UNDERSTANDS THE MEANING OF AN INSTRUMENTAL!!! They got encyclopedias and dictionarys but they are all wrong mannnnnnnnnnnn. What is the deal with this?? Blog me bro

  • @Samogen i do.this album was one of their greatest.

  • @Samogen true, but it didn't advertise it's self as such

  • can someone please let me know the name of this album, big beasties fan kinda fell off somewhere around intergalactic though ,..boo me anywho sounds from way out is one of my favs of all time the info would be greatly appreciated

  • It's from the Mix-up. Very cool instrumental album.

  • THNX

  • Talent sure.. but where 3 m.c and one d.j.? give me some lines something i can play all this on my comp.. i got the tube amp...

  • The Beastie Boys album that this song is on is the most underrated album of the 2000's and did NOT deserve all the mess of hate it got from peeps expecting a hip hop record.

  • word a friend told me this album was no good so years later I finally got around to hearing it and was blown away. Stupid closed minded people.

  • this is fucking amazing...

Please come to Burlington and play at Nectars... like dis!... Vermont heals the soul...

  • Mike D needs to cut his fucking hair.

  • suck a big mike dick

  • Seriously?

  • i like poppin this one when im in the car....seems like i have my own theme music....very cool

  • maybe you all are right, but they sound amazing, really...

  • "giant causeway" by and you will know us by the trail of dead, sounds slightly similar. the hook in the second half of the song (in this) and the hook in the end of the other

  • Licensed to Ill had a lot of great instrumentals that I love. I didn't like the first 2 minutes of this song but then the song changes and it's amazing! It's as if the intro was played by another band.

  • seriously ? the first two minutes are more similar to the " in sounds" album -- best part of the song - gotta disagree

  • b-boys and b-girls one love eternal

  • Proper, music in motion.

  • Hello

  • Adrock is so hot xDDDD

  • Very Nice instrumental by one of the biggest influences of our hip hop generation!!!

  • Viciousrambl you moron, this is rock?

  • karalho! isso é genial.....

  • this shit is nice. it kinda sounds like mutemath

  • uh, Beasties STARTED by playing punk, then graduated to rap...now they play a little of everything...even country, kinda (Country Mike anyone?)

  • one of the most talented bands of our generation, and even when they started out as a punk band they had very hip hop influenced lyrics and there hip hop had very rock beats it was a great conversion of two styles that were underground yet getting the right attention from the kids. respect for all the old school nyc crews.

  • agreed!

  • @brisrite I'm with that. Doze was right: New York the capitol of Hip Hop. Creativity is generated in that eastern region. : )

  • @Khultan yeh yeh name dropping, doze had to be one of the sickest breakers and a mad writer to,

  • @brisrite old school Long Island as well. all NY rap, old and new...LOVE!!!

  • I use to go to school (EI) with Adam's brother Matt. I remember when Adam was trying to play the guitar. Never thought the beasty boys could make this kind of music. Do more of this. It was great.

  • One of the best things about the Beastie Boys is the fact that they play almost every type of music. Also, they actually play the instruments themselves. They truly are great musicians

  • they should definitley do more industrial stuff becasue this stuff is amazing

  • u wanna fight me you pussy ass kid?

  • Yea but their ryhmes are even better.

  • most people dont realize their musical IQ is off the charts, they play alot of different styles.

  • It blows my mind to think that this is from the same people who did "Fight for Your Right". That somehow doesn't work in my mind.

Not that I'm complaining, this song is amazing.

  • dude are you kidding me you must have never heard actually llistened to there actual albums ill bet, they play this kind of music on every album. litsten to their song called sambrosa i think its called youll like it.

  • pussy

  • Go buy Aglio E Olio, and you'll find the answer there.

  • 3:16-3:40 Fire!

  • this is simply called music

  • From 1:47-2:00 is my absolutely favorite thing. Can someone who knows something about music explain what that kind of pause is called?

  • Nice...

And Adam is such a cutie

  • soothing to the max

  • This song reminds me of good times -- good times passed, and the good times still to come.
