I used to work on this rig :) My fave place to hide and fuck off when my crane operator was being a dick and everyone else was chilling in the breakroom was the barite tank room between the chemical mixing room and power plant. Its the only one with two tanks in it other than the one by the watermaker. Anyways, there was a forgotten box of bagged water back there and I would snack on em. Snackin' on bagged water. lol.

runnin casin is when they run a pipe to in so many words make a wall in the well so it don't wash out and it's a saftey thing to because you run casin in the first somany hundres of feet of the well so the pressure can be contained in the hole and not blowout when you take a" kick" a kick is when the presure starts to come to the top and bubble up in the possum belly. i seen it blow so hard that it blew the mud in the belly right up to the roof of the mud shakers really messy i tell you!!

@tommy2068 I use to work for a Co. that flew me out to different rigs in the Gulf with a special saw that had a carbon blade to cut the casing. Using the saw was suppose to be better because a torch would mess with the temper of the steel.The Company man (Driller or whoever) would always make me nervous watching over my shoulder. "Better cut it straight boy, otherwise we will have to pull all of the casing back up and re-do it" 'That means we'll be throwing your skinny ass out into the ocean."
