The only issue I would have with what you say here, however, is that even though it is educational to find out which fighting style is best (or to synthesize and create new styles), why should that be entertaining? ...

I just finished watching Ip man 2! And was also about competition among different martial arts.
Jujitsu (aikido is even better) is one the disciplines in ninjitsu so i am not surprised that it could win an mma tournament but don't let the "kung fu" in mma fool you. Just because you can do a round house kick doesn't mean you know kung fu. It's not only about striking but also about keeping your opponent off and far away from you.
i agree that in principle there is nothing wrong with mixed martial arts fighting. the mma though is a terrible execution of the concept. the aesthetics of it are all wrong. usually thugish looking lummoxes rolling around in a cage like animals with a bunch of retards cheering them on. cheesy colors, bright lights, and stupid announcers. loud death metal playing. it exudes something completely different than what you talk about here. it resembles a prison brawl more than any greek sport.
