He is just a Genius, and extremely talented. He has a vast knowledge on carnatic raagas and orchestral music also. Hoping some more good albums from him.
Wow! This is simply wonderful. The Carnatic core is perfectly maintained as it is while the Western form of Chamber Music is brought out beautifully. This is what we need for Carnatic music to go even further all over the world. This is really a brilliant innovation in presentation.
After having successful filmi career, to mention films like Achamillai Achamillai , Ayiram Pookal Malarattum why this gentlman, a Master musician himself, has not been given enough oppurtunities in TFM.
Title should read "Thyagaraja visits West" instead of "Mozart visits India"! We should credit our composers just as western classical world credits their composers!

This is one of the most effective attempts at polyphony that places an Indian melodic ethos in a contrapuntal and harmonic setting. Great job!

They have brought out the anguish of the heart of Tyagaraja for his Beloved Rama and that is basically true love (bhakti)

title should read "Thyagaraja comes to the west" and not "Mozart comes to India". We should honor our composers as the westerners honor theirs!

Here's an option for you sonofbrazil.., why dont you filter out anything and everything Indian and leave them in peace? Sounds feasible?
Cheers.
gothgarg 2 years ago
@sonofbrazil It's a comparison. Not actually work done by Mozart. This is V.S. Narsimhan's Indian Quartet, if you couldn't read the title.

This is phenomenal piece of music. I am much impressed by the harmony of the two different styles blending to conceive a thing completely neveau.
You might want to also use the Sitar or Tabalas and make new pieces of music comme ca.
Great work, nonetheless.
