hello. i have just got my self 1 of the hpi mt2s for £120 with everything but the engine was water damaged so i put in a pull start: 18ss i pulled to hard and it will now go back in do u know how to fix it can u plz do video response to show me how thanks.
Dude I lose my pins like that allllll the time! I also thought I would mention that I have the same exact colors as you for my fuel lines on my MT2!!!
i have acouple questions i have a nitro mt 2 and idk im stilll kinda new and whenever i start it it idles at full throttle speed and it spins all the tires i fixed it once and then it all of a sudden started doing it again. and then lastly i am missing the bigger bearing from the wheels and i cant find them at any hobby stores where can i get this bearing? thanks
@IASTcyclones it sounds like as if your flooding the engine. Id say take out the glow plug and turn the engine over to get rid of the excess fuel. then take and blow on ur glow plug because that will have fuel all over the glowing element. then retry. dont prime the engine 2 much. but since you have a roto start prime the engine for 2 seconds with the roto start. then hope for the best.
well i would agree. but I have put a new gear setup on the MT2 SS. I have on the clutch a 13T with a 52T spur gear. the thing now SCREAMS. plus i have racing clutch springs installed as well as new shoes and the responce is amazing.

I need a new Rear Final drive. I belive that its a silver paste now rather than a drive gear LOL!
@nitrorcx1998 about 43. I fixed it on Jan 10th and put on a 14T clutch bell with a 52T spur gear with new Clutch shoes and springs. its wayyy better now and its faster. the Final gear in the rear has stripped out and i need to replace it so i cant do i high speed run with the current condtion. but iam working on my HPI Super nitro, once the streets are dry with no snow iam gonna do some test runs.
Highspeed Needle regulates your top end, which is basicly your highspeed. the more the needle is turned to the right the leaner the engine gets which means less fuel and more air. if the needle is turned to much the engine can become to lean and overheat.
the lowspeed regulates your low end or Acceleration. this needle is adjusted ever so slightly. then there is one final screw called the idle and thats pretty much self explainatory.

I have to start mine with the RotoStart. and after a couple of tries starting it, the rotostart shaft locks up... how can i fix this?

no i mean what r they set at 21/2 or 3 or 31/2 because i cant get my to tune i hve had the car for a year now it is the hpi m2 18ss thx

All i can give you is stock settings. all engines are different during break ins. my 18SS has been rebuilt. sooo its not gonna be like yours.
The highspeed stock setting:
Turn until closed (clockwise)
Turn 3 times out (counter clockwise)
Then you must tune it using 1/4 turns right. you will know that you have it tuned right when you see a thin trail of Blue smoke.
To set the low speed needle to stock close it all the way (clockwise)
then turn it out ( counter clockwise) 1 1/2

and turn only 1/2 turn MAX. no more than that.
ERROR.
while adjusting your highspeed needle turn 1/8 incriments till its tuned right. you will hear the difference while tuning. good luck
