I begin to drift into a heavenly world where all is good and wonderful. And then 2:11 comes along telling me to wake the heck up. Why Bruce? Why? This might have been the best track of all your compositions. And you literally kill the beauty and serenity.

Im not gonna lie, as a huge DBZ fan for most of my life I've often thought about this song when chapters of my life have ended, it just feels right hearing this and thinking of an ending to things... I suppose Im just getting older now and this music some how still speaks to me. Thank you Bruce Faulconer for writing the soundtrack to my life

Somewhere in that darkness, I stumbled onto, of all things, DBZ. I hadn't seen an episode in years. It was this episode, with this song, and Trunks and Goku were speaking.

But I'm not gonna lie, I felt right there with future Trunks, essentially telling my childhood superhero Goku, "Seriously. The future is shit. It's hopeless. It's dark. You can't beat it."  And man, the feeling I got when he smiles and responds, "Maybe I can make a difference."

The first person to risk her neck, help me out, and cheer me on was that beautiful, genius girl I was crazy about and "lost in love" with; now my fiance.

It's crazy how this simple, little cartoon and its music changed so much.
