  • I went through this in 1972 as AIT and later taught at the Special Forces Medics course. Training has come a long way and gotten a lot better,

  • Stupid Yanks

  • @ifansgrimetube snob

  • @MagnumPI4 Why am I a snob? I just don't like americans cos they all have there heads up there arses

  • @ifansgrimetube europeans are snobs because they think all americans are the same. Ur downing a whole nation because of one area of people. I could easily say the same about England because of the people how live in liverpool or manchester. You dont know me dont judge me

  • @MagnumPI4 Ok I'm sorry. I was a bit unfair, not all Americans are like the way I described them. I just find that some Americans are a bit ignorant because they think America is the most important country in the world. I'm not going to judge you. I mean loads of the things I like are american like Eminem and Family Guy.

  • @ifansgrimetube i appreciate that. Most people wouldnt be man enough to apologize like that and i like european things to like euro punk and soccer

  • @MagnumPI4 It's football not soccer but we'll agree to disagree lol

  • @ifansgrimetube ha yea tomato tomato potato potato

  • can anyone b a medic or u need a medical background; as in credits/diplomas/degrees/etc?

  • @imnoobish No. You can join, even without any certain background. That's why chool is there for. To teach you things.

  • 7 day scenario... I was in one of the two lucky companies that got the 16 day version before Ft. Sam decided that was excessive. Got flooded out of our tents twice and got blistering heat the rest of the time. Man I miss Texas...

  • Woot gonna be there hopefully around Nov.

  • Anyone remember the meat market? I went thru 91A school Oct. 83-Feb. 84.

    It was a good time.

  • ooh... looks fun, should be there in around april....

  • I was at Ft. Sam for 91A and beginning of 91C in '88 as well. No "high tech dummies" for us- just each other and a ruck full of 18ga I.V catheters and 18Fr NG tubes... hooah!

  • Wow, so much has changed in the training since 1988. Looks more like EFMB training (Took me 3 tries to get that).

  • Special Operations Forces have very demanding physical requirements. Good eyesight, night vision, and physical conditioning are required to reach mission objectives via parachute, land or water. Also required is excellent hand-eye coordination to detonate or deactivate explosives. In most instances, Special Operations Forces Team Members are required to be qualified divers, parachutists and endurance runners.

  • you copied and pasted that from the army website

  • Special Forces Medic 18D and doing shot Goat Lab during the 1970s. Basic Medical corp training at Fort SAM, AIT in Georgie, Advanced Medical at Fort Sam. We should really train ALL medical people this way. You wouldn't have a 12 hour wait at THAT emergency room.

    .

  • It sucked while I was there but I miss Fort Sam.
