  • A quick ? dose the gto steal have chrysler parts?

  • 320hp to the flywheel NOT the wheels

  • I really would love to get one of these cars ;)

  • This is the Best Version of all 3000GT VR-4's This one is the closest you will come to have a full Race Version of this Amazing Beauty Gears are Totally Different Also Rear Differential, Lighter as well Best and Most Rare of them all I never seen one in America Ever or know anyone who Owns one...

  • On the Dyno a stock VR4 only puts 238 horses to the ground .. 320 is crank horses

  • @tazz3375 do you have a reference for that? I don't think that's correct.

  • Love <3 I miss my 99 TT

  • spoiler looks dumb

  • Nice vid. Love the GTO MR's from japan, just wish they were like the MR's from europe with the larger turbos stock lol. There is really no difference from 1999 to 2001/2. Same and last body style. And while im not sure if thats an AWD dyno, paper goes by CRANK power, not actually TIRE power 292 for stock is still respectable. And yes im aware of the max HP law in japan which is sad, but understandable. Population desnity = multi impact. Anyways, cool vid.

  • Just bought a 92 gto that's RHD and Omg it's weird to drive. Its my 4th vr4 and the one that's most exciting. Only 60k miles.

  • Mitsubishi 3000GT VR-4 is one of the best super cars in the late 90's

  • i cant help but wonder why they stopped the production of them... I hate the Lancer!

  • @HoracePL They were expensive, not selling well, Pretty nice cars tho I like them. they only made it to compete with 300zx/Fairlady's, Supra, and Rx-7. The evo was a better car still at the time :/ One of the wonders of the 90's imo.

  • @niceprince but an evo looks like a Ford Escort GT from the early '90s

  • 292 at the rear wheels? What about all 4?

  • How much PSI?

  • people its 292 at the wheels, the figures quoted for the car are BHP or crank horse power

  • 292 is great number for wheels

  • 292RWHP! I wouldn't complain about that. That whip looks nice.

  • 6g72, 3.0. dont the later years have like 333 hp stock?

  • at the motor...NOT to the wheels...read

  • @theblueninja89 320 but yea close enough. Same engine just turned up the boost a little bit after 93

  • i know you can get custom kits made for the 3g eclipse gt an gts models but do you think they could custom fabricate a twin turbo kit? i know it would require alot of engine work to handle all that power but just sayin what if ^.^

  • the rear wing looksmad gay you ruind it you douchbag

  • Thats stock dude on the last years they made them

  • oh that sucks. well then mitsu ruind it.

  • dude mitsubishi didnt ruin anything your just a hatefull little jackass =/

  • lol

  • hater

  • stock 320hp is at the crank not the wheels. AWHP will be less due to drivetrain loss

  • Not if you live in Japan

  • FUCK!!!! im importing a gto engine from japan. it only has 280hp :( my vr4 engine is fucked and a GTO ONLY HAS 280? NNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

  • That one is the Top-of-the-line JDM model. They never imported MRs to America.

The MR has much better gear ratio, better suspension, BBS alloy rims and a lot of other race-ready goodies.

  • True, but you can get most JDM parts if you wanted to.

  • Those are stock VR4 rims buddy. And the MR is basically a lesser version of the VR4. Doesn't come with ECS (Electronically controlled suspension).

  • On paper that car's supposed to have 320hp... they upgraded the exhaust and lost 30 hp? lol... obviously been ran too hard on the dyno one too many times

  • Unfortunately,Japaneses spec is only 280hp by law...

  • Do you know how they tuned it for that, like lower boost or something?

  • It's an MR so 280HP @ the crank.

  • @Mitsubishi3kgt 320 crank but he has292 AWHP which is almost 400 crank, sir

  • @Mitsubishi3kgt All the cars in the world get rated at the crank with the engine outside of the car not in the car where it looses about 25 percent HP

  • @Mitsubishi3kgt gto mr is the japanese version it has less horse power but more touque n yes it is faster than the american vr4 :)

  • @Mitsubishi3kgt 320 was made with and engine alone on a Dyno, once is on the car it puts about 230 because all the extra having 292 to the ground means this MR is putting down maybe close to 400 if the engine was out side of the car alone on a Dyno ;).

  • @smiley00341 They obviously didn't pull 400hp out of a stock car, they upgrade exhaust and pull +80hp? I don't think so.

  • @Mitsubishi3kgt Well they did it correctly and the results are amazing.

  • @smiley00341 Putting on mufflers as stated is not doing it correctly, and won't result in a +80hp gain.

  • @Mitsubishi3kgt Well whoever put this video up was wrong, they probably didn't know what they were talking about they probably just posted the video without knowing nothing about the car. all you need is some fuel open up the exaust raise the boost and bam! you got 80+ I am sure I think the guy who posted this does not even know what's done to the car lol. As I can tell I never seen him Posting anything I stand Corrected ;).

  • no Mitsubishi racing an ameliorated version of the normal gto tt it has bigger turbo better suspension no active aero no Aws almost 750 pounds less weight way better performance get that if you can

  • Ummm no it's actually 88 pounds less (or 40kg) for the 2000 model. The MR does not have a bigger turbo either, it's engine is exactly the same as the TT model. Trust me I know because i own a '96 model of these (it's 22 pounds or 10 kg heavier than this beast.

  • Cool thx men im so tired of false info im always looking for info about the difference between the Mr and a normal one but seems like nobody has any but does the Gto-Mr has anythng special the a normal gto doesnt have or its just a car Gto without Aws and active aero

  • Not that i know of, the GTO MR is just the lightened version of the GTO TT (without ABS, active aero, cruise control). Which i think is good cuz ABS and cruise control wern't really necessary for this type of car and the active aero was useless unless you were doing over 125mph, and even then it didn't give much of a downforce improvement. So in turn there are less things that could go wrong and the car was quicker off the mark than its TT brother :).

  • the active aero wasn't really for giving downforce it was actually for getting rid of lift. when the active aero is active the car has exactly 0 lift front and back. I did my homework :P

  • I got a 3000GT with a blown engine as a project car.. put a new engine and drivetrain in it myself. I got it up and running great, and of course loved it. But then the typical 3kgt problems started.. I loved it so much I didn't seem to care that i was in the garage every weekend fixing yet another thing wrong with it. I'd give people rides and find myself explaining everything that didnt work or was making noise. Unreliable, heavy, slow, P.O.S. ... still I didnt wanna let her go.

  • how is 0-100 in 5.2 seconds slow?:P (stock)

  • yeah maybe if you had a 3000GT non-turbo. VR4s are not slow at all and completely worth the maintenance.

  • @bnm5015 not when it's a daily driver... get a second car to avoid fixing it late into the night

  • @waynerd23 I have had my VR4 for about 6 years now and it was stock for all of about 3 months. It now makes just under 450awhp on my "daily driver) boost setting. I agree that you should have a 2nd car especially if you are going to be doing work on the VR4. Out of the 6 years I've owned the car its been in my garage for about 20 months because of bad weather; because I've been doing mods to it, or because something went wrong and i was saving money to fix it. My daily = 2005 Volvo S40 T5 AWD

  • @proaudiohd What are the typical 3KGT problems? The only recurring problem I ever had was and idler pulley coming loose (a problem that wasn't permanently fixed until I lifted the engine out and replaced all pulleys and belts with new parts including light weight versions of what was available to be lightened) The car can be lightened soooooooo much, I think mine only weighs around 3500 now with me (180lbs) sitting in it and its super reliable for me.

  • nah stock 99 vr4 spoiler

  • na its the stock wing for itself...

  • had a twin turbo gto. heaps of mods, was pretty fast. sold it bought an r32 skyline gtr and will never go back to a gto. no matter what you do to them(you gto nuts will disagree) they handle like a whale:) they look nice, go fast in a strait line, but so many things go wrong with them. no mechanic would say a gto is reliable.

  • stock hood

  • Cool man. I have a 99 VR-4 here in the states. :D

I didn't know they did the 99 style there. Cool to know that there was a Vr-4 (GTO) after 99 over in jspec land. 13g's and no AWS. Turn up the boost. That thing should make some pretty decent numbers. :D

  • nice car

  • Believe these had the 11g turbos but removed likes or ABS and any comfort system at all - just lightened it! Away to pick up an MR myself in a couple of days :D

  • Anyone have any good info on the MR's tho? like what did mitsu do or leave out to make them lighter? do they run the 9b's or 13g's? how many psi's do they run stock? do they have the aws? I hear a lot of different things, its hard to separate the facts from just hear say most of the time

  • ok, i got it, nice car though.

  • I think that the difference is that the 320 rating is at the crank...the 292 is a wheel rating

  • Both ratings are crank. Jspecs are limited to 276hp after Japan car companies made agreements with the gov. in Japan. 292hp is pretty good if only the mufflers were removed. I picked up about 45-50hp just by removing the 2 precats & main cat(#%&!*@ emissions) & some good plugs/wires. Still on 9lbs of stock boost(1st gen. stealth) so its good for another 45hp boosting up to around 14psi(about the max w/ stock fuel system & the 9b's arent good for much more), but not bad for easy & cheap mods tho

  • what will it run in the quarter with just these mods... sounds like low 13's or so I'd imagine.

  • what confuses me is that a stock 3000gt vr-4 is 320hp and this gto is pulling 292hp,still nice car.

  • I was thinking that you already know that

the Max hp of Japanese version(GTO) is 280hp and export version(3000GT VR-4) is 320hp.

    Sorry,about that.

  • @g63b111kw The reason that you think the GTO is only 280hp is because of a law passed by US congress back in the 80s to limit the horsepower of Japanese imports to allow American cars to have an advantage over the less expensive and more reliable Japanese cars. There is no reason as to why this car would only put out 280hp at the crank especially if its not one that was imported to America (the law was abolished before this was made anyway). The reason the # is low is because its wheel hp.

  • @bnm5015 It has nothing to do with American law. Japanese law was that no car had more than 280 PS. Very common knowledge.

  • @CarsonHabit Good call, you're right. But if we want to get really specific here it wasn't a law in japan, it was a Gentlemen's Agreement among the manufacturers so companies didn't get into a horsepower war like the american manufacturers did, especially when their country had so many small windy roads that would be more dangerous in cars with excessive amounts of horsepower. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction though, I thought it was a US protective law to reduce foreign car sales

  • @mitsuevo8mr Those cars are rated at the crank just like any car, not with the motor in the car, that's why they loose about 25percent hp when dynoed.

  • i think that's a 99

  • What's the difference with 99'n'00'n'01?

  • @g63b111kw They only made the 3000gt up until 1999, they sold the remaining cars in japan in 2000 and 2001 but they were just cars made in 99 that didn't sell, so there technically isn't a 2000 or 2001 3000gt out there.

  • What year is that GTO? It looks like a 1999-2001 Model cause of the spolier.

  • This GTO is y2000 model.

  • Thanks

  • nihonjin ka?

i own a 1990 gto too.. mine is stock, but i wanna make it twin turbo

  • Nihonjin desu.

Your's really early model isn't it.

I like early model than '99-01.

  • Mitsubishi started making GTOs in 1990. Mine is one of the first releases. I was wondering if you have a shop around Tokyo, i wanted to know pricing and estimates if i bring mine to your shop.. for upgrades and accessories.

  • nice vr4. mitsu rule

  • My friend is please with your comment.thx.

  • poor =(.. i got 376 hp, but yours does sound way better =p. what mods do you have?

  • This GTO is stock cond. except muffler.

Result that 292hp is quite good I think.

  • @g63b111kw Hey dude how you been? I have not seen you post any new videos? Do you have more description please I love that Vehicle I would please love more Infor :) If you can!!!
