Just stunning. I hear pre-echos of Big Star (er, Alex Chilton) singing 'Holocaust', without the strings, piano and other sparse production, meaning that Tommy was the forerunner & original genius.

Very pretty - poor Tom ..... he deserved better.... and his best work was coming. Ever hear "Over You"? That's a classic!

Man, Tommy's voice was so incredible - Ballads to rockers, he did it and it seemed so easy for him. I hear, in this song, something that Harry Nilsson ended up doing often too, including some of the phrasing. It is incredible to think that his muse (Marianne) inspired a lot of great songs!  I hope this and more get released properly! Someone call Apple Records, they need a new release to liven things up!
