  • Be nice if steam would run in these conditions more often!

  • @Steam1989 - I totally agree with you on that buddy, a lovely setting for a brilliant sight

  • Excellent video. Wouldn't want the washing on the line when she went past!!

  • Many thanks mate, yeah I think i'd have the same view as you if i knew she was passing by :P

  • great video did you have two cameras?

  • Cheers mate.. Yeah I set two cameras up for this charter :)

  • Very impressive! You don't often see a plume of smoke hanging like that.

  • Simply stunning; the plumes are very impressive, and nice camera work. Strange behavior on the part of the whistle, though.

  • Many thanks for the comment mate.. yeahhhh the whistle had a few little squeeky issues but hey still adds another feature I guess. Lovely way to start Decemeber 2008 I thought... Cheers

  • Of course, and you're fortunate to be able to start-off a weary month like December with such a show. Regards and happy holidays to you.

  • Great Video but the whistle sounds really gay.

  • why is the whistle popping? it isnt popping with the beat of the loco it is to fast? any ideas?

  • Great Clip, very well filmed. At about 0.55mins in a distinct "squeeking" noise starts. Its not until about 1.37 that the squeeking turns out to be KEI's whistle which is blowing in time with the exhaust beat. Never seen that before, Very strange!!

  • Brilliant clip ... thanks

  • awesome

    im hopefully going to see

"Tornado" Thunder his way through there soon :)

  • I do approve of smoke.

  • 6024 hits the spot! I was wondering if the carriages were decorated by someone who usually has to daub buses with paint. There was a time when these people were called coach painters but that is suggestive of craftsmen. Most buses are mobile eyesores these days.

  • F***ing WOW !!! . Wish i could rate it 100 times for you. That's a real train ........

  • Awesome!!! 10*

  • This is great stuff mate. I went to this location in the summer, but it came out much better with the winter sun in this shot! Interesting to see the old bouncing whistle valve problem appear on the loco.

Top notch work here mate! Keep up the good work!

  • That is not a difficult shot to take. Shots off bridges are extremely easy to take. All you have to do is pull back on the zoom and job done.

I saw 6024 on its way back through Newton, abut my camera batteries failed. :( She looked great in the dark though with the firebox glowing! I hope to see it next week again. :)
