I had a Keeshond puppy that always wanted to play with our cat, who often didn't want to play. What was funny was that the cat would eventually grab a tight hold of the dog's fur as a way of telling him to stop. He held on for a few seconds and when he let go, the dog would leave him alone.

My aunt has a kees and two cats and the cats don't want to have anything to do with poor Harley lol He always wants to play with the cats but they don't like to be bothered, so they just run off. We always say that Harley thinks he's a cat. I could so picture him playing like this with the cats if he could get his paws on them!! lol
Our keeshond made even strange cats- with no dog in their apprtment, believe that she was a cat too; so they went in the elevator with us! Wonderful. The Hague Holland.
My kees used to do that to my samoyed, and she'd have the same evil smile on her face while she cleaned ears, too, haha! I had to give my kees, Bailey, away when I moved--I miss her terribly :(

*sigh* My toes have often been where that cat's ears were. That is one patient cat. I'm very jealous of your house full of keeshonds. I only have the one, and I adore her senselessly, but I can't imagine how wonderful it must be to have a flock of them. Crazy but wonderful.

I thought he learned it from the pug, who nuzzles the kees's ear when he's feeling spry, but maybe it's a breed trait. He's five, and I'm starting to think that he's the oddest dog I've ever met, but I love the little weirdo.
