  • BRUCE CONTE GUITAR RULES

  • Lenny sang this track on the quintessential TOP album "Back to Oakland"and he had the most relaxed vocal style and tone perhaps of all the vocalist who have sung since.

  • I still respond to this song the same way I did when I first heard it about forty years ago. Man the memories that come flooding in when I hear this.

  • top and awb simply the best...period

  • awesome tunes!! love the brass!!

  • this group was always a pace setter. Lenny's voice and delivery was unsurpassed, who do you think inspired Phillip Bailey? Lets not forget that horn section! BS&T, and Chicago are go, but please sweet Jesus these guys were leading the parade. This particular tune will always endure time

  • @1mikera Lenny's a great singer,but he didn't inspire Philip Bailey.

  • An awesome song! Glad to hear it as well see it performed. Bravo!

  • Awesome!!! Always loved this song!!! Since childhood. To Don, rest in peace my brother. I feel like I knew you from watching you every Saturday morning on Soul Train as a kid, and still today on Centric / Tv one. Couldn't wait for sat mornings! Guess you're welcoming Whitney right now to where Y'all hang out up there! This music will live forever.

  • this man was sexy !!!!!!!!!

  • awesome rare "LIVE " video from soul train. the O'jays always performed LIVE

  • @abdj11

  • I love people who do what they want and don't care about "being accepted" and you can see how much this is really evident here. No one would wear Lenny's gold suit, but he was so good, and look how people see him as a person with such a talent now. If I had even half of their talent, I would die a happy person some day.

  • With gratitude to Don Cornelius, RIP, for bringing us all this great music...

  • I read this somewhere a while back. Music is like candy. Enjoy the candy but throw the rappers away.

  • Bad ass Music

  • Lenny Williams!;)

  • awesome performance with Lenny White on lead vocals

  • @abdj11 you mean lenny williams? :-)

  • @goucho1169 yes my mistake

  • @abdj11 R.I. P. DON CORNELIUS

  • A brother with vocal skills and some funky-ass white boys...............what a combination! Pure delight.

  • thiccaboss you are so right there is no soul to todays music, this is soul perfection.

  • Back when recording artists actually had some kind of talent-be it vocal or instrumental! I LOVE the horn arrangements in this song! One of my most played on my iPod.

  • nem lembro mais quantas vezes curti essa beleza

  • Fireyah!

  • This is baby making funk!

  • One of my favorite soul artists from the 60's are The Righteous Bros. I learned the story behind their name and gained much insight on Motown's soul (Black) influence on the pop (white) music culture. It's fascinating how music has a tendency to diverge society's norms as seen on this episode of soul train. Music- the evolution of us.

  • fucking Lenny and TOP were perfect together

  • Awesome stuff from an unforgettable period in musical history.

  • I like it so much how he snap it at 1:33 .o)

  • i was born in 1995, and I listen to this just about everyday...thank God for music like this, because without it, music would be dead right now.

  • Bands with horn sections and songs with true lyrics-something from the heart, and a singer with a fantastic voice....how I miss the 70's!!!!

  • @lifeisart247 Tell me 'bout it!

  • UH..FUNK

  • MY JAM ..

  • Ain't nothin' I can say...so very hard to go...!

  • Unlike many of the great acts to appear on Soul Train, TOP played LIVE!!! Great band.

  • The best music, takes me back to High School

  • hes a great singer

  • MUSIC HAS NO COLOR...IT'S ABOUT REACHIN THE SOUL...NOW THIS IS SOME GROWN FOLKS SH**.....LOL

  • I love that original singer in this video

  • Whoever said soul is a "black" thing never saw Tower Of Power!

  • Badass!!!

  • One of the greatest soul funk bands in the world

  • LOVES!!! that is what i call "blue Eyed Soul" beautiful arrangement!

  • beautiful! YEAH!

  • So perfect it hurts!!! Today's music have no soul when compared to this...

  • @thiccaboss WAS JUS THINKING THT...

  • @thiccaboss Yes, to come even close to this you have to have talent not computers that give you the illusion of talent.
