to me it looks like a 1997 just cause of the gmc truck emblem on the tailgate, in 98 they stoped saying gmctruck and just said GMC :)

I wish GM had continued offering Suburbans with diesel engines after the GMT400s. My best guess is that they figured a diesel engine didn't fit with the Suburban's image is it evolved from a work truck to a family oriented vehicle. F'ing morons.

yes but if i remeber correctly they are not putting it in suburbans, it is designed for the half tons, still looks like a great engine, if GM decideds to make it, its on hold right now...
