  • He has some interesting ideas for the middle section, but I think he is not always voicing the correct line. That is just my opinion.

  • I watched him playing Liszt transcendentals here in Brazil today... and understood why he won the queen elizabeth

  • @luisguilhermeolbertz Me too. Great! Aleksandra

  • @tillmar20 Nice!

I Hope we've more from these good and scarce events here in Curitiba

  • very, very, very good......

  • Congrulations for the Queen Elisabeth competition!!!

  • i was astonished by his performance in the finals, amazing pianist!

  • As I predicted he is one of the prize winners and did a splendid performance on the Prokofiev 2. Deserved to win!

  • great, and by heart, I like this version and that of Anderson as well. Impressive :D

  • As I predicted, he is in the finals. I was extremely impressed by the calmness of his Beethoven sonata. Especially the fugue was almost "church"-like. I have seen the other finalists and I think Denis could be one of the prize winners for sure.

  • I absolutely want to see this pianist in the finals of Queen Elisabeth 2010.

  • Perfect Tempo.

  • A wonderful performance! Speed seems quite correct to me. I discovered this piece just thanks to this video.

To jazzhotline: please forgive me, I misclicked thumb and accidentally voted your comment -1 whereas I meant to vote +1.

  • "thank you so much Denis" G.Ligeti

  • Sorry I have voted -1, but I meant to vote +1 instead!

I am not able to remedy!

  • Oh! Great! A very powerful performance!

  • Quite liked that version, in parts - one of the better performances I've heard.

  • I love it, but it is maybe a little too fast

  • great performance! only thing it's lacking is a haircut.

  • not bad, i would like it much legato

  • Wow. There's an incredible amount of energy in this performance -- exactly what the piece demands but seems to be missing from many other performances. Well done!

  • I totally agree! Most other versions I've heard lack a lot of energy on especially the staccato notes. Too bad the sound quality of the recording isn't too great. But other than that it's fantastically played!

  • soooooooo much better than greg anderson. best performance of this piece I've ever heard.

  • AWSOME!!!! I saw his live performance a couple weeks ago. His playing was so artistic and unique!!! He made all pieces so attractive. I became a huge fan. I'll look forward his other performances.

  • Really wonderful!! This is just 5th video on YouTube.
