Here is the issue with her filming instead of watching where she is driving. The laws of physics would have prevented this if she would have seen this 2X4 get thrown into the air. If you watch clearly, she actually drove into it. The piece of wood was moving up not towards her. It appears it was on the side of the road and was kicked up by something hitting it. And if it WAS thrown from the vehicle, it would have been moving up and not back - if anything moving in the same direction she was
@ab8yy If you've ever seen someone drive over something, it goes flying, the other car drove over it and sent it flying, in the original video it comes to fast this is nearly 1/6th the original speed and there isn't much you can do about these things. no one said it was thrown from the trailer.
it was inevitable, what the f*** would it change if she weren't filming??? ofc talking to your mobile phone reduces your attention, that plank would have hit her windshield if she would have not filmed , so no person, no f*** person talking on the phone or not, filming, masturbating would have avoided that 2x4 ( except chuck norris )
@97AlexN I have, but often I've had issues with youtube and other sites not liking other URLs... seems it does work this time, however - if I leave out the beginning...
theres a difference between someone in shock and been scared, they have total different reactions , and obviusly this happened so fast she wouldnt had time to react , my guess is that maybe she was schock but wanted to stay calm when it happened because ur not gonna let go of steering wheel and scream you will crash and die
@TheDjLee It has more than just to do with where your eye are. In the UK driving while talking on a mobile phone is illegal because it has been proved to reduce a drivers attention to the road and increase the change of a crash. This is no different. Anyone trying to do something else while driving is compromising their ability to drive safely. It's a fact.
stupid trollers saying it is fake just dont reply to them if nobody reply them they failo to troll. And if you reply to them you give them power and they feel like have achive something
It's clearly real. More to the point, the woman at the wheel is driving like an idiot for two reasons:
1) Tailgating the trailer. Has she never heard of the 2 second rule? Accident waiting to happen!
2) Filming while driving. Pissing around doing things other than concentrating on driving is never a good idea. She was probably doing her make-up in the mirror too...
In conclusion, women who venture out of the kitchen are a health hazard. Stay at home and make me a god damn sammach!
@ZzZNorgaZzZ You don't have to be bumper to bumper to be tailgating. Anything within the 2 second rule qualifies, because then there isn't enough distance/time to stop if something goes wrong.
In the original video that's not slowed down, it's clear this driver is 1 second behind the trailer in front, and therefore twice as close as she should be. If she'd been 2 seconds back, the wood probably wouldn't have even hit her window. The proof is in the pudding.
@MrMetalica11 Your comment makes one assumption after the other. Weak.
What you don't seem to understand is that hitting the wood end on at the right angle to penetrate the car is a freak even, probably 1 in 100. If she'd been driving further back, not only would the wood have had more time to come down from the air, but it probably wouldn't hit end on. The result then would be a dented fendor.
As for swerving at high speed, you'd have to be a moron to even consider it. It's not an option.
@MrMetalica11 Switching lanes to avoid the wood isn't viable either. To switch lanes safely a driver needs to do a number of things, i.e. check mirrors, check blind spot, then if clear, indicate and move into the neighbouring lane which at 55mph takes 55 yards of road to achieve.
Skip any one of those steps and you risk colliding with another car. To avoid the wood (even with a 2 second gap), you'd probably have to skip every step! As you can see, it's not an option.
@buddy39914 The reaction isnt right? She had about 2-3 seconds after that hit, and you can hear her breathing is ragged, she acts like a person in shock. Not everyone will let out a scream or anything like that when it happens, that is a perfectly normal reaction for something like that
@buddy39914 Why? Because we don't know the story behind it.
Now, you go get a video software program and try and fake something like this, you'll see its close to impossible to make it this real. Once you've done that and uploaded it to youtube, than call it fake.
@buddy39914 im sorry if i type too fast i got things to do , im not like u who hates on every fucking video they see and spend their whole day arguing with people , reply back and youll prove me right
I just gotta say... I'm a VFX artist... So I know what goes into faking something like this. I do it for a living. And it *COULD* be done..................... By like.... Industrial Light and Magic... I mean that's flawless. That'd be REALLY hard to do. So I say either this is real or it was done by a team of super good VFX artists.... Who wouldn't want to be spending a month working on this when they could be working on a film making $120k a year.... If they did it they'd take credit for sure.
I don't get that she doesn't understand why people think this isn't real. She's filming for no reason while driving, and she doesn't have a normal reaction (if any).
@seinfan9 uhm hello shock... i mean do you get to see her face? .. i mean maybe she wet herself and shit her pants and realized what happened like 10secs later?.. see the problem is the vid is just short//
@Lifeinapicklejar She seemed well enough to know to pull over. You didn't answer why she was filming. The comments here say that she was trying to catch them for reckless driving. Well, that's some major irony because she's the one being reckless by trying to film the trucks (i.e. she's retarded).
I have not seen anybody say or correct the title of these videos and I would post this on the original but they disabled the comments it's not a 2x4 it's a 4x4 and I've seen this video from a bunch a' different ways.
this is weird because it looks real but on the other hand what made her film the trucks in front of her? like she knew the wood was coming at her or something... dang i'm really confused i just don't know what to think!!
@iLuvYooh000000 The truck drivers were driving in a reckless, "Cat and Mouse" fashion. The woman was attempting to catch the trucks doing this on a video to call their companies, show them, and get them in trouble. The 2x4 ramming through her windshield was completely consequential in terms of what should have happened in the video.
How would this be fake? What do you know exactly how to hit it for the trajectory to be just right so it doesnt hurt her? How would it be fake in the first place? Damn people, not EVERYTHING in the world you see thats crazy is fake... ffs
@cmak5 Windows are layered with a plastic like coating which prevents windshields from shattering, however at a high velocity with a small semi-pointed end, like the 2x4s it would pierce the windshield and crack around it, much like an enlarged bullet, this video is not fake.
When i got into a car accident, i didnt scream. I think when something is actually THAT scary, youre first reaction is just shock. Its like a different scary, different from those screamer videos on youtube. Its hard to explain, but if i was her, my first reaction would just be shock.
@sonep511 if that's the case then maybe the driver saw her filming and got so mad that he through the wood. this is the only way i can make sense of this. 'cause i'm just sitting here scratching my head
Even if this was fake...so what? Does it REALLY matter if it's fake or not? Is it REALLY going to change your life if it's fake or not? Give it up already.
I'm a stray 2x4. I was just laying low on the side of the highway until the person with the trailer in front of you decided that he didn't like where I was. I guess he felt that i was better off hitching a ride with you. *SMASH!* Other insurance companies won't cover this, so get Allstate.
@DeathTheKeyblade THANK YOU! the first person that I have seen to ask this question ... why the hell was this being filmed? For like the 15 seconds following up to this not a single person has said a word nor after the board shatters her windshield .... im not saying its fake but the plausibility of them getting this footage from randomly flipping on a camera is borderline impossible
Some people are so dumb, so freaking dumb. There are uncountable reactions a human could produce at such a time and being completely silent and in shock is one of them, and not everyone is a computer and editing genius to fake something of this level.
@Ashal666 I've been in a few incidents behind the wheel where I could've been killed or horribly injured, and I NEVER said a single word at any point in time. Not everybody is a twitchy screamer like you.
@batterycock Thats because the camera moved upwards and you know how you have that dark colored strip on the top of your windshield to protect you from the sun well the camera was now pointing up towards that area after the accident.
@Har7ie Filming it would not have been used as evidence in any US court unless she was a police officer or something. What were they doing that was so reckless?
@bambam7x That would be my point exactly. From what I understand she thought that they were blocking everyone on the road. If that is the case then the only person whos fault it was would be the guy or gal in front of her. They are in the fast lane so they ought to pass or slow down and get in behind the semi. I see this kind of thing all the time but I wouldnt dare film it while driving.
Planed or not, 2x4 or not, that could've killed her had it been just inches to the left. The trucker on the right illegally passed everyone, and caused the one hauling the trailer to veer too much to the left, where the board was laying. She said she was doing 45-50 as they approached the traffic light; for her to be filming at all, the truckers must've been playing "leapfrog" for some time before she decided to film it. I wonder what the speed limit was anyway...
wow wasnt 2x4 it was a 2x2 pallet tie down ... bet one of those dang construction wokers lost it...glad your ok .. what is more supriseing to me was her ability to stay calm... i would have flipped out ...
@simhopp Um, are you sure? I was always under the assumption that a 2x4 is actually 1" x 2" but is called a 2x4 because the 4 sides together equal that value.
@simhopp Well, just looked it up and yes you are correct. I was always under the assumption it was the other way around, but I guess it just goes to show you really do learn something every day. Thanks for the info!
@simhopp The 2x4s of today are 1.5 x 3.5 because they are planed at the mill. The 2x4s of yesteryear were not planed. Check out an old house and you will see the rough 2x4s. Planing lumber gives it a smooth surface.
This is the reason why you should never tailgate. Tailgating is a serious traffic offense. Always have a clear distance between your car and the vehicle ahead of you so that you cans stop without colliding into the vehicle in front of you or any debri thrown at you. This driver is lucky to be alive.
@UKeShe2 Apparently, the trucks were playing "leapfrog" (alternating passing each other) and blocking the road. But she said they were doing around 50 mph and approaching an intersection/traffic light anyway. But the truck on the right illegally passed both her and the one hauling the trailer, causing it to veer too far to the left on kick up the board.
@MacDaddyRico Apparently you know shit about trucks and going downhill and uphill. Power to weight ratio? Never heard about it? The one in the right lane is empty and therefor faster uphill than the one in the left lane. And he isn't going too much to the left! Are you blind or what?
It's not even 'loose cargo', if you look closely its on the floor and the truck infront clips it with his tyre, which makes it fling back into the windscreen. DUH.
so it came NOT from the truck but it came from the car hauling some kind of trailer. it is very dangerous to have loose cargo! This is what can (and has) happen(ed).
About defensive driving. How many of US cardrivers do that anyway?
Well yes maybe if she had hat 6 seconds distance to the vehicle in front of her it wouldn't have hit her.
so it came NOT from the truck but it came from the car hauling some kind of trailer. it is very dangerous to have loose cargo! This is what can (and has) happen(ed).
so it came NOT from the truck but it came from the car hauling some kind of trailer. it is very dangerous to have loose cargo! This is what can (and has) happen(ed).
If it's real then you learned a lesson. STOP TAILGATING! Haven't you heard of the 2 second minimum rule? The other video in real time shows this driver was less than 1 second away. Idiot tailgater!

OMG!!! i even jumped! that is so scary!!! :(
she's lucky to be alive!

Some people are so dumb, so freaking dumb. There are uncountable reactions a human could produce at such a time and being completely silent and in shock is one of them, and not everyone is a computer and editing genius to fake something of this level.

Damn I wasn't there and I even I got scared...

MrJordanHsodmg 10 months ago
@Ashal666 She probably did AFTER the camera was turned off. It isn't fake. Stop being a troll.
infinitextimes 10 months ago
@Ashal666 I've been in a few incidents behind the wheel where I could've been killed or horribly injured, and I NEVER said a single word at any point in time. Not everybody is a twitchy screamer like you.

@Ashal666 how can it be fake ? fake that if you're so damn genius

so fake, look at the clouds they turn a dark blue wtf?
batterycock 10 months ago
@batterycock Thats because the camera moved upwards and you know how you have that dark colored strip on the top of your windshield to protect you from the sun well the camera was now pointing up towards that area after the accident.

Why was she filming?
cmac1100 10 months ago
@cmac1100 Because the two trucks were driving recklessly so she filmed for evidence.
Har7ie 10 months ago
@Har7ie Filming it would not have been used as evidence in any US court unless she was a police officer or something. What were they doing that was so reckless?
cmac1100 10 months ago
@cmac1100 Yeh true, but apparently thats what a news report said
Har7ie 10 months ago
@cmac1100 what were they doing? She's the one driving recklessly. she's distracted by filming, and following too closely.
bambam7x 10 months ago
@bambam7x That would be my point exactly. From what I understand she thought that they were blocking everyone on the road. If that is the case then the only person whos fault it was would be the guy or gal in front of her. They are in the fast lane so they ought to pass or slow down and get in behind the semi. I see this kind of thing all the time but I wouldnt dare film it while driving.
cmac1100 10 months ago

Planed or not, 2x4 or not, that could've killed her had it been just inches to the left. The trucker on the right illegally passed everyone, and caused the one hauling the trailer to veer too much to the left, where the board was laying. She said she was doing 45-50 as they approached the traffic light; for her to be filming at all, the truckers must've been playing "leapfrog" for some time before she decided to film it. I wonder what the speed limit was anyway...

wow wasnt 2x4 it was a 2x2 pallet tie down ... bet one of those dang construction wokers lost it...glad your ok .. what is more supriseing to me was her ability to stay calm... i would have flipped out ...
dills2403 10 months ago
@dills2403
I don't think its 2x2. one side looks wider than another.
but not quite 2x4 either.
probably 2x3. which is actually 1.5" x 2.5"
simhopp 10 months ago
@simhopp Wouldn't a 2x3 be 1" x 1.5"?
ScottXC91 10 months ago
@ScottXC91
no, 2 x 4 dimensional lumber has actual dimension of 1.5" x 3.5"
ie, half inch smaller than numeric value it has.
so 2x3 is 1.5"x2.5" and 2x2 1.5"x1.5"
historically, 2 x 4 were actually 2" x 4" very long time ago, but not anymore.
simhopp 10 months ago
@simhopp Um, are you sure? I was always under the assumption that a 2x4 is actually 1" x 2" but is called a 2x4 because the 4 sides together equal that value.
ScottXC91 10 months ago
@simhopp Well, just looked it up and yes you are correct. I was always under the assumption it was the other way around, but I guess it just goes to show you really do learn something every day. Thanks for the info!
ScottXC91 10 months ago
@simhopp The 2x4s of today are 1.5 x 3.5 because they are planed at the mill. The 2x4s of yesteryear were not planed. Check out an old house and you will see the rough 2x4s. Planing lumber gives it a smooth surface.
9misuraco6 10 months ago
@simhopp lol gotta love arguments over nothing well "freindly debate" either way the woman is very lucky...

FINAL DESTINATION.
Tadej96SLO 10 months ago
This is the reason why you should never tailgate. Tailgating is a serious traffic offense. Always have a clear distance between your car and the vehicle ahead of you so that you cans stop without colliding into the vehicle in front of you or any debri thrown at you. This driver is lucky to be alive.
Gunsmoke80 10 months ago
@Gunsmoke80 I wouldnt call that tailgating... she isnt that close
weLiKeoaTs 10 months ago
@Gunsmoke80 She actually wasn't following that close.
KittiiKatze 10 months ago
why is she recording while shes driving any ways??
UKeShe2 10 months ago
@UKeShe2 Apparently, the trucks were playing "leapfrog" (alternating passing each other) and blocking the road. But she said they were doing around 50 mph and approaching an intersection/traffic light anyway. But the truck on the right illegally passed both her and the one hauling the trailer, causing it to veer too far to the left on kick up the board.
MacDaddyRico 10 months ago
@MacDaddyRico Apparently you know shit about trucks and going downhill and uphill. Power to weight ratio? Never heard about it? The one in the right lane is empty and therefor faster uphill than the one in the left lane. And he isn't going too much to the left! Are you blind or what?
Svenneke78 10 months ago
I hope they fucking jail that driver of the truck losing cargo, just would be in ANY other case surely SUDDEN DEATH!
JiS01 10 months ago
It's not even 'loose cargo', if you look closely its on the floor and the truck infront clips it with his tyre, which makes it fling back into the windscreen. DUH.
xMorrisey 10 months ago
so it came NOT from the truck but it came from the car hauling some kind of trailer. it is very dangerous to have loose cargo! This is what can (and has) happen(ed).
About defensive driving. How many of US cardrivers do that anyway?
Well yes maybe if she had hat 6 seconds distance to the vehicle in front of her it wouldn't have hit her.
But who is keeping 4 till 6 seconds distance???
NOBODY.
2 seconds is not nearly enough.
Tianyulong 10 months ago
@Tianyulong That wasn't loose cargo, it was laying on the road!
lars330 10 months ago

@TheNameIsEddy maybe she wa concerned about the truck which she was recording in the first place (see original video).
harlita 10 months ago
If it's real then you learned a lesson. STOP TAILGATING! Haven't you heard of the 2 second minimum rule? The other video in real time shows this driver was less than 1 second away. Idiot tailgater!
pmpvtkc 10 months ago
@pmpvtkc Because that 2x4 would have missed her if she was 1 more second behind...Idiot driver's ed student.
