  • This is so great!

  • Bruce Dickson ~ All the Young Dudes

    (Minecraft Version)

...especially if you watch it in fullscreen

  • FUCK OFF YOU METAL CUNT. THIS IS MUCH TOO GOOD FOR YOU.

  • janick gers is so fucking cool

  • GREAT version

  • Fuck yeah ...

    I have a T-Rex !

  • I honestly don't see the point of making cover versions which are so close to the original.

  • @ivankaramasov Because it's fun! The Iron Maiden guys have always said that hey make music, to get a kick out of it for themselves.

  • I was a kid in Ohio when this came out and "dude" was being used as a derogatory term at the time. I remember all my friends making fun of this video whenever MTV would play it.

  • This is by far the best cover of 'All the Young Dudes' I've ever heard.

  • Great version, i love this song. Bruce is awesome, long live RNR-

  • muittttttttttto bom

  • Best version out there. Bruce is such a fucking awesome singer!

  • rock band :D UP THE IRONSS

  • waooooo..awesome song and video too...and i'm completely in agreement with this song the lyrics is true¡¡

  • Let's give Mick Ralphs some credit around here.

  • beatles and stones wer part of the rev...REVOLUTION STUFF

  • Bowie wrote the song for the Hoople. so the original is by Mott The Hoople... but Then Bowie made his version of the song.

    AWESOME SONG! XD

  • what a great writer Bowie was. I'm glad I met him... 7 juvenile delinquent wrecks... everybody loved T Rex - a pure and beautiful artist and glam/pop/cool rocker

  • dull version with naff vid...

  • Bruce used Mott's version, not Bowie's when it comes to lyrics. Good choice.

  • Great version. One of the best lines in a rock song"Man I need T.V. when I got T.Rex"

  • Who did the original ?

  • @SamanthaCarterFan01 David Bowie

  • @SamanthaCarterFan01

it was actually mott the hoople

  • @UselessInfo101 No ,Bowie wrote it,,, but motts version was the best, saw that first tour in '73 baby

  • @baggiewon

    your right. mah baad:P

  • love it.

  • Great song

  • Don't know if i would necessarily agree with the top comment on here! ,but this such a kiss ass song that anyone would sound good singing

  • My theory? The person who wrote this was going through a mid-life crisis :P

  • @Mikster35

And his name is David Bowie! :-)

  • @HerrZipper :D

  • @HerrZipper I thought it was Mott The Hoople...

  • @TheGrownUpAdult :D

Yes... David Bowie wrote this song and gave it to Mott The Hoople with the words "I'm giving away a hit"... And after that, Bowie made a record with the song. So he made a cover on his own song. :D

    Original = Mott The Hoople

    Writer = David Bowie

  • @HerrZipper It is pretty amazing to give away a song like this.. Of course Bowie wrote many fantastic songs in the 70's. But still..

  • @Znarus Yeees, it is! But I think he knew what he did. That this was a hit from the beginning. It's a really powerful song! :)

  • @HerrZipper Bowie used ALTTD as a possible addition to Aladdin Sane, It was never used. thank God as it was not very good. His live version on the David Live album is fantastic. I love Bruce's version its also beacuse he rock's it up and it's stil great

  • @HerrZipper herp derp well if your term original is who sang it first then i could turn i my classmates report first and his is considered plagairism

  • @rvbsmcaboose Not really. Mott the Hoople was the original artist to put out a version of this song. There's more to music than just writing. According to the Oxford Dictionary, plagiarism is "the practice of taking someone else's work or ideas and passing them off as one's own". MtH put out this song with David Bowie's blessings, gave him full credit for writing it, and they also sound totally different than Bowie when performing it.

  • @kaldemvor well finally someone has proven me right without sounding like and idiot thank you

  • All the young dudes, they're doin' 'ludes,

they're homos takin' bromos, when they speak spicx, som os l.os dudes

  • i hate people who bash gers hes amazing

  • longest fuckin intro

  • fucking ace cover

  • This is an excellent cover, though I still prefer Mott the Hoople's version.

  • BRUCE OWNS, PERIOD!!!!!!

  • Excellent cover, like the way they kept the music close to the original. Still prefer Mott the Hoople's for the vocals.

  • dude this version is way better! i never knew he did this song! hell yeah.

  • Bruce D. : the VOICE and Soul of Metal

  • Fuck Springsteen, this Bruce is BOSS!!!!

  • SUCKS !!!!

  • Bruce and the song is fine and but WHO THE FUCK HAS BEEN RECORDED THE VIDEO??!!! QUALITY SUCKS!!!

  • Damn it man! Bruce was still in his didey when Ian and crew first busted out with this. How cool!

  • what version is better? mott the hoople, Aerosmith, or Mott the Hoople??

  • ohh man...here is the soul of music

  • Wy-i Jan!

  • Bruce Rules!

  • He's got the right pipes, but lest not forget Ian Hunter is known as a songwriter as well

  • Better than the original. No personal flavor. No perversion of Bowies work of art. Just a great cover.

  • @johnmckenna80 I itotally agree with you. I am a huge Bowie fan but I prefer this to Motts version and Bowies recorded version in the studio, But I still love Bowie's version from his Diamond Dogs Tour 1974, But Bruce just knocks it on the head for me. Excellent cover of an excellent song.

  • I love the way he sings "Dudes" in the chorus. It sorts of gives me chills up my spine. Awesome voice, man.

  • What is the meaning of the kid with the submarine at the end?

  • why did he cut his hair? :(

  • I like how Janick plays guitar on this song. Very nice!

  • This song is awesome

  • Comment removed

  • @novamotel23 : This song is written by David Bowie and then given to Mott the Hopple and they made it thier biggest hit.. but as David Bowie wrote it, he has the original, even tho Mott the Hopple released their version first.. ;)

  • @Shikakka123

I know who wrote the song, I know Mott the Hoople made it their biggest hit, but there's a reason for that. Also, there's a reason Bowie gave it to Mott the Hoople, and no matter what your little brain tells you, Mott the Hoople owned it first, NOT David Bowie. Bowie never even released it as a single. It doesn't matter IF he recorded it, wrote it, or released it anyhow. Mott the Hoople made the song famous. Even if Mickey Mouse wrote it, credit goes to Mott the Hoople.

    Idiot.

  • @novamotel23 you are one of the biggest fucking idiots in music of all time. "ohh the one who made it famous owns it". how old are you kid?

  • @Phant0mAssass1n - you pathetic little boy, you're actually trying to insult me, haha, you're almost funny. I was listening to this song when you were still shitting yourself in your sleep, you stupid child. I know a lifetime's more about music than you'll ever know. Give it a rest you little cunt.

  • @novamotel23 Haha your comment made me laugh lol.

  • What is the deal with the kid raising the submarine at the end???? Ha ha Ha It's like he's paying homage to the band!! HE WANTS TO BE A DUDE!!!!!

  • to jest wokalista

  • i dont like his take on the part with the crossdresser. it seemed more like a diss to transsexuals, definately not what bowie had in mind when he wrote that part.

  • @any13lse3 but who was the crossdresser? Both looked pretty "feminine" to me.

  • @aschlesinger The one bruce shoves to the side like he doesnt exist when he grabs that womans face

  • @any13lse3 dude, "dresses like a queen" means drag queen, it was in the song all along, bruce just decided to put it in the video.

  • @beta0blaster I knew it was in the song, but I think David Bowie wrote that part in support of drag queens, but Bruce Dickinson just pushed him to the side like he was nothing in the video

  • @any13lse3

People who do that to bowie usually suffer.

  • It's THE Bruce Dickinson. He doesn't look like Christopher Walken...........

  • @Mrmikeshelton he looks like John Malkovich

  • MUITO FODAAAA

    :)

  • bruce is like the lord of vocols no matter what.he is up by ozzy and dio.

  • Ehhh...I like Bruce Dickinson but this isn't that good in my opinion. I'll stick with the David Bowie version.

  • His voice is INCREDIBLE!!!

  • I love this version. I remember when it came out in 1990

  • BRUCE DICKINSON!!!!!!!

  • To tell you the truth this song does suck originally but when Bruce sings it he just makes it better! :D

  • @RoseLovesAnime2 bruce makes any song better

  • tecnically the origanl is by mott the hopple...but david bowie wrote it for them...

  • drummer4m, yes, but its hard to hit a note spot on without vibrato ,otherwise the voice becomes a boring sine wave, and anyhow try and think of any vocalist in any genre who doesnt use it.You cant because they all do.

  • IDK this song is like, no one should be doing it but Bowie or Mott the Hoople, but I can dig it. Nice intro.

  • First let me say this, I LOVE MAIDEN.

However, why the fuck did they have Jannick Gers join??? Was that Bruce's condition for rejoining? Get his buddy a job? The dude IS NOT needed. Anyone know?

  • Why not? I can't think of a better replacement for Smith (back in 1990). He fits Maiden quite well and his guitar work is spectacular. He's a great addition to Maiden.

  • im a fan of janick, but he joined up because bruce and dave wanted another guitarist

  • @shredder1965

5 months no reply to you, damn let me end the dispare of why janick gers joined maiden. Basically after 7th son, Adrian Smith decided to go his own way and make his own band ( self titled I think) and so Maiden was in search of a guitarist. Bruce of course had always wanted to do some solo stuff, but Maiden took care of his time. This gave him the chance to go do an album, and I think that Maiden knew Janick cause I remember him saying he tried to convince Smith to not leave.

  • @dudebeer36 okay bro. Thanx.

  • Bruce is the greatest, but this song is possibly the worst he has ever done.

  • @Oddwun wtf man this song is great :o

  • As duas semanas mais rápidas da vida de Janick Gers.

  • Bruce´s audition test for Iron Maiden, in 1981. Amazing!

    look:

    /watch?v=9wQQL-1OYuM

  • Bowie's own version was awful and Motts was just greaT ( YEAH i know Bowie redemmed himself) but as a cover version this is just GREAT!!!

  • @progressivelectro Linky no worky

  • excellent version, I like the emotion in his singing but sadly I never have been a fan of that vibrato he uses so it kinda kills the chorus for me.

Matter of taste as that's probably exactly what makes this the best version for some.

  • yer i agree man, bad vibrato on the chorus, i to be honest prefer the mott version, its kinda what made them famous and should'nt be covered too much, they have some other cool songs on the all the young dudes album aswell though.

  • @drummmer4m. What the fuck? Bruce's vibrato,I think it sounds fantastic.

  • woah, cool! and just so you know, the ooriginal is by Mott the Hoople.

  • But it was written by Bowie

  • @bassboy17290 no, that's a cover

  • 0:21 Ignore this it's just for skipping to the song whenever I watch this video.

  • Why does the kid raise up his toy submarine (I think that's what it is) at the end? Is he presenting it as an 'offering' to a rock god? *lol* Priceless. This video OWNS.

Also, this video screams '80s' even though it's from 1990 - interesting...

  • @tw38763876 its a reference to another of bruce's videos (tattooed millionaire I think) which consisted of a guy in a submarine spying on people

  • if you have the anthology dvd, he explains it.. and yes, it's a reference to the submarine. there's always someone watching - mainly your subconcious. and the little boy is the picture of "a dude to be" as Brucie so nicely puts it :) and all we have to do is thank Bowie for writing such a timeless classic!!! fantastic song!

  • Every single song that Bruce dickinson sings will top the Original one's :D

    Best singer of all times.

    5/5 :)

  • @cythixx not this one

  • @crackheadmanning Says the crackhead, goway.

  • @cythixx he and dio

  • @torsten8018 yep, Ronnie James Dio was and is a legend, he will be forever remembered.

  • @cythixx I adore this version but to say it tops the original is stretching it. Mott's/Bowie's version need to be seen/heard in the context of the time. But Brucie is fantastic that I will agree

  • @leonoel42 I agree with you, this is a very good version but my favorite will always be Bowies version.

  • @cythixx he literally is the only one who can pull it off. He can eat the original song and crap a platinum record.

  • @myke336 lmfao

  • @cythixx that proves that Bruce is god :)

  • Seems I stand corrected. LOL

  • Amazing cover

  • Bowie's version is NOT a cover: he wrote the damn song.

  • Bruce and Janick fucking rule!

  • Great version! Bowie's was a cover also. The original was done by "Mot The Hoople"

    Bruce Rules!

    UP THE IRONS!!!

  • david bowie wrote the song and matt the hoople recorded it--check your sources

  • Wow

Great cover, better than original! 5/5!

  • knob ed..learn english. n then learn about music ya bum hole!

  • great...fuck!t:will-finland

  • come to finland fucker

  • The Wackness

  • classic!:)still lives on and will

  • Hmmmm.....

    My last comment erased?

It was just a opinion... that the F-Ups version of this song was what i liked 'cause it was at a faster speed....

  • its awful hard 2 write things on youtube witout people taking them soo personally! your opinion right

  • best cover ever

  • watch?v=t9-ugDDv-_o

  • ummm thia ia the way the song is supposed to be played at this tempo speeding it up would ruin the song. so in fact this is WAY better.

  • Anyone can cover a song and speed it up it takes talent to change it but keep it similar the F-Ups indeed fucked it up. The f'd up the song. Bruce owns.

  • shhh! don't fuck with Bruce Dickinson. He could hear you.

  • @arthurzanoni 666

  • its night.... I was thinking to my past, and I decided to watch in youtube for to hear the original Mott the Hoople version (its a small piece of my teenager time....) I found this version and I must tell COMPLIMENTS to him! This is surely the best version after the original !!!

  • fucking cool, love the guitar

  • love this song, didnt know that exists videoclip for this!!! very good!!!

  • this song mott the hopple

  • Great. I love his voice, unique!

  • Grande Maestro!!

  • so fkn awsome (;

  • No Mott the Hoople, but not bad....

  • God how can you go wrong with a voice like bruce cool!

  • he just never runs out of energy o_O

    great cover. :D

  • oh yes, we can love

  • The 'woman' at 1:39, is that bowie in drag?

  • Sure the hell looks like him, lol.

  • good look dude

    very very close to it

  • hahahaha

  • better cover imo !

  • ...hmm. Hmm, hmm, hmm. I've been on a quest to compare different versions of this song today, and Bruce's is actually right near the top of the list. Very well done.

  • He's got a killer voice.

  • Mott the Hoople has the best version.

  • I'd rate David Bowie and the Spiders above Mott's version. But Mott still did it bloody well.

  • ya ^^ love the others, but i always thought mott really stole this cover. the sound they had just nailed it
