I am in the same state im turning 28 and i have always love aircraft and i wanted to fly i am that person who wishes i could get the oppertunity to get the chance in a life time to fly with the blue angels!
Well deserved, and a nice movie you made. I am not from the states but have a passion for airplanes. I remember flying the few first MS flight sims on my dads 80x86 pc when i was like 10 years old, and always wondered why they chose meigs field as the starting location. I literally grew up flying at that location, when kids where going out in the neighbourhoods to play soccer i was flying the MS sim. After all those years i was really gutted to see it removed from the sim...
Oh my...Smoke on baby! Love it. I saw Blues when I was younger in 1965 or so. The XB-17 Bomber was there with them, my mom had a picture of her taken with the jets. The X-17 Captain was her friend and crashed a week later. This is my dream moment every time I see their PERFECTIONISM.
Mate im an Aussie and i would love a ride in an F18 Hornet.I would pay a Shit load of Money too if that was an option, but its very rare that the average person can get a ride in one of those Jets. What a great video this is,im so happy for that guy who got a ride.
Thanks for allowing us to accompany you on this magical flight. I too love aviation. Even now watching the old High Flight films with the F104 and T38 will make me tear up. Thank you, my brother of a feather.
Great Vid!! Glad to see someone as passionate as me to be able to fly with the Blue Angels. I just recently joined the Navy because of the impact the Blue Angels have on my life. I ship out Jan 25, 2010 as an AS. Can't wait!
Really?! Sweet! Thanks! I flew a plane once (counted s my first lesson), but wasn't sure if I would be able to go far enough to get a license! OK cool!
That was incredible! I'm glad to see someone such as yourself get the opportunity to have an experience like this. I have also been a Blue Angels fan most of my life like yourself, so I can just only imagine how you felt during this once in a lifetime adventure. Well I just wanted to let you know how lucky you are and to say congratulations. Love the video!
I had a chance to fly in a Canadian F18 Hornet back in 1996. I was on the Canadian Forces Parachute Team and became friends with the hornet driver that also toured the airshow circuit. I will never forget my flight...thrill of a lifetime!! Great film brother....
ya me to, i have been facinated by planes my whole life and now as a freshmen in high school i already working may way towards gliders solo i am very exited i have about 7 more lessons before i get my pilots solo i have been fling 1/4 scale rc planes at the nationals for 3 years and getting 3rds and 4ths this vid was awsome!!!!!!
no matter what anyone says i will become a fighter pilot. my extreme passion for aviation will lead me there. I know all the complications that come along with trying to get a flight slot, but I know that if I want this bad enough, I can get it. I am willing to do anything.
I feel like i'm the only kid in my high school who looks up in amazement whenever a plane flys overhead, and im proud of it. I've realized my extreme passion, most kids havent.
thats sooo awesome... im the same way .. wen i hear a jet i RUN to the window and just gaze at the jets... its my passion not to ebe a pilot but to see it up close to just expirirence it one time would eb aweosme
oh yeah one more thing .. good luck with ur dream... u an do anything u put ur heart into so i have faith in anyone who wants somethign as bad as u seam to want this... just dont have asthma and ull be fine xD
Just remember you can do anything you want to....the only regret you will have is if you don't try...That "kid" you feel like when you look up is just what all who love aviation feel like when they hear or see a plane...Good luck my friend...
@kingneptune117 i agree fully with this comment i to love aviation sense i was little flying 10 times on commercial planes scared shit less on the first take off but was epic back in the day
Wow that was amazing, this is my dream to have happen one day...everytime I go to an airshow and see these guys fly I realize how boring my day to day life is :(....Its awesome they let you fly the jet, did a good job at :D..thanks for the video, not everyday you get to see a "normal" American get to take a ride with the Angels.
couldnt happen to a better person. its very rare for someone who is not an actor or athlete to get a ride. for once im not hating on someone who got a ride, happy for him, fly on!!
Thanks for sharing your inspirational video. Dreams can come true to those who have the desire and the faith. There are many young minds that have the same dream, may they have the same opportunity.
Your story is an emotional one for me..They're based where I live and I see them quite often. I have deep admiration for the Blue Angels. To me, they represent freedom, courage, honor and pride..as does all our military. I envy you tremendously yet somehow feel your story put me in the air with the two of you. God bless you, our troops and our country! Thanks again...
that is great that he got to do his dream, but i dont get why he just didnt join the navy and do it for a career. thats what i plan on doing. i cant think of any better jobs than flying one of these
unfortunately not everybody can meet the requirements for being a military pilot, my dream since i was little was to be a fighter pilot but unfortunately my eye sight isn't good enough and i have hereditary knee trouble so i cant, it could be the case for him also
P.S. The name Skymatchu comes from my former skydive Instructor ( Approx 10 years ago.) Until a recent Skydive related injury I was a full time skydive tandem master and A.F.F. Jumpmaster.
I had the honor of getting to meet the 2009 team on 2 different occasions this year, one of which when they came out to surprise a small group of us at El Centro. The awesome thing is they were just as excited about doing it as we were to see them. Getting to talk to them 1 on 1 outside of an airshow crowd was really awesome... these guys are class acts all the way around. Im glad Brian got to go on his flight. I can only imagine what an incredible life changing experience it must have been.
Just to continue because I ran out of space, Frank Weisser is now 6 and it was awesome getting to talk to him and Nate Miller (5). Great guys, all of them.

you are one lucky guy! i remember when the f-18 first got deployed i was a ABE on board the Coral Sea i so wanted to be able to be in that rear it has been 20 or so years but i still to this day miss it and still would love to be in that rear seat if just for one moment

Great video! I met Lt. Weisser at the Peoria Air Show. We bought my 2 year old son a blue angels flight suit and all of the pilots signed it. The flight crew told the crowd that Lt. Weisser could only sign one more autograph, and as they said that he signed the person in front of me and my son. I asked him, "Could you sign my son's flight suit?" He looked me in the eye and said "I would be honored to sign his suit." It made my day and will be a lasting memory for my son.
