dermal cost like $60 where i live and it only hurt for a little bit and if you want to remove it you have to get surgery to be able to take it out but you can change the ball .. ^^ good luck if you guy are gonna get one

there won't be a big scar when it's removed, it will be like a tiny blemish, like when you remove any piercings. And plus everyone's different on what they find attractive, else everyone would look the same, i personally love them but i work in a piercing and tattoo parlour. And i don't see the point in numbing or aneasthetic as they aren't really a piercing, just a punch, and my nose hurt way more than my dermals!

i got dermals, and yes they did hurt, but i never got them numbed cuz part of the experience is the pain. they only lasted like 4 months, but eveybody is different and my body rejected the piercings...but i dont mind the lil tiny scars, and i cant wait to get them again.

Why are you guys dissing for being numbed up? I mean, seriously who cares? To each their one, live & let live and all that crap. Some people have higher pain tolerances than others. I have 4 tatts & 5 piercings (all no numbing) but I know that if I ever want my huge rib/back piece done there is NO way I could handle the pain w/out a little help b/c my sides are too sensitive & I don't think that should stop me from one day getting it done. It *shouldn't* stop you from getting what you want.

When I see people take anesthetics to get a piercing pisses me off. I myself have 3 mirco dermal piercings&4 regular piercings and I got all of them without any anesthetics. If you can't take the pain why get the piercing? What's next? Numbing your skin for a tattoo. Gtfoh.

@envyitnikkuh why get upset over something so simple? it's not your body. just because you want the piercing doesn't mean that you can handle the pain. Some people have lower pain tolerances than others. I have 2 tattoos and plan to get more but I would never tell someone that has a low pain tolerance to get over it. They might not feel like I feel. It's not your right to tell someone that they're not allowed to try and lessen their pain.

@Goddessofwicked Actually he is a doctor so he can legally administer local anaesthetics. He runs a clinic that does family medicine, cosmetic medicine and body modification. I think he's great for going through all those years of school and money and still follow his passions :)

Don't get them done!! Mine cost $100 bucks and u bump it even the slightest bit and it gets all read and infected and crusty I've never had a pimple in my life I take really good care of my skin so it's not bc I'm dirty it sux and a pain to get taken out from what I hear

@xaustynsmommyx Thats you tho. Some people can handle a piercing and some people cant. Obviously that piercing wasnt right for you. AND every piercing is different. So one piercing could get infected and another might not. Or you could have a bad experience with one piercing take it out get it done again and have an awesom experience

@misscope09 its basically a disk attached to a post. they use a dermal punch to punch a hole in your skin then slide the disk into the skin so it sits just below it and the skin will heal around the post, and the jewel just sits above the skin, there is less of a chance of rejection and easier to heal. they can be taken out but they have to be cut out. They arent as painfull either (in my oppinion) any other questions just ask, i have two perfectly healed dermal anchors
