Dells are okay im on a dell inspiron 15R now, but it, well it sucks. Speed wise it's impressive. but it freezes whenever i try to open or save something in a WinXP based program. Im getting a refurbished macbook pro on ebay for $565 sometime within the next 3 months. I wasted $645 on this dell. unbelievable.

Had one of these and it got infected after a year. It crashed my hard drive and when I tried to get it back, the screen wouldn't go to the right resolution. It was stuck in recovery mode. Then I bought another PC, a HP desktop. Got a virus on that one, the fan stopped working and fried my mother board. Unbelievable.

I have this laptop and it has done me well for nearly four years. Until now, but it was my fault it broke because i bridged two pins on the battery connector but we are putting a new mother board into it and she should be fine. They are brilliant laptops.

I have this laptop. Its just a replacement to my 2000. They sent me a freakin refurbished one! My mom ordered it new for about 2000 dollars because I needed enough space for my Sims games. I asked for a Macbook Pro for Christmas. I think I got it because I looked under the tree and there is a wrapped box and its in like the same shape as a Macbook Pro box. Merry Christmas everyone!

You can only use a laptop anywhere that has an open wireless internet signal (wi fi) like caribou coffee . Else you can purchase a wireless router at home and connect it to your high speed internet at home and then access the wireless internet that way. In both cases your laptop needs to be wireless capable.

dell is garbage. I have had 2 in the past 5 years. The first one arrived 6 months after I ordered it, then stopped turning on (i mean no responses at all to the power button) they sent me a refurbished replacement for a brand new laptop, charged me for seding the original back and now the replacement (a 1520) is garbage. STAY AWAY FROM DELL!!

For the ppl talking about games ruining laptops it's usually a heat problem. Most games have a dvd/cd in the drive generate quite a bit of heat, u have the graphics card running a lot faster then if you were just surfing the net, plus the hard drive running, and on top of that ur using major RAM. When I'm gaming on my Dell 1721 The temp. jumps a large amount, compared to when I'm using it casually. All that is needed thought is a decent laptop cooler with fans. Makes a huge difference.

Sims 2 is a very agressive program.. I've play it on my dad's laptop- for a half year, and it ruined it! I'm sure that I won't install it on mine laptop, when i get one.

i'v not played sims, but the laptop will be able to play it, i'm pretty sure those are one of the games that don't require great specs. but unltimatly is doesn't matter what notebook u get as long as your getting good specs. mine are pretty good. one thing i do recomend is don't get vista on it.
