I am here because of the movie "The Darjeeling Limited". I have often wondered why the writers decided to introduce this long at key places in the movie. What significance can it have in the context of the film. I always wondered if the character Jack (Jason Schwartzman's character) was supposed to be the 'girl' in the song.

God - I love this song and the voice - I was 4 when this was out. I remember it from then and just rediscovered it. It's sad and brings back such lovely memories before My mum and dad split up in '69. Both of them are dead but this song reminds me of the good times before that with a tear in my eye.

It is funny how some songs follow ones life story, this is one of those for me. My first wife fits with Marie... irony is we divorced in 1979, and she went her way, and I mine. Today I still drive a truck, and enjoy it. Today she is married to her fourth husband a millionaire diplomat in Ottawa.
