Not all of life is positive anyways, and tyler along with the rest of odd future is giving us a glimpse of a different, more unique side of humanity, without any hangups along the way. I think you need to actually listen. Yes, he does have lyrical depth. He speaks very metaphorically and its sometimes hard to understand the message. But that doesnt mean that he doesnt have talent. and we're not teaching the future generation at all. parental figures, teachers, maybe even religious leaders; teaching is there job. musical artists can believe what they want to believe and there are extremists everywhere who dont always have all bad ideas. it's important for people to listen to these ideas and try to make some sense of them, and then take or deny what they want. i dont by any means support anti christ movements, but at the same time these people deserve the same respect.

not many people have a "real message". if being positive is a message, and looking at the bright side, why cant someone be negative and look at the dark side. there's an opposite to everything. but people should be open to music like this and not just deny it because its seperate from the norm and different. if he doesnt believe in christ why cant he talk about it? theres a whole genre of christian rap where they speak their beliefs, is that wrong too? im sure atheists dont enjoy that music.

Tyler himself admits that he isnt the greatest rapper. The thing is, at least he makes all of his own music and all of his creativity is expressed through his music. He isnt like Lil Wayne where he writes a little shitty verse, gives it to his record producer, and in a month he will have another million in the bank. Tyler makes all of his own music, he produces, he edits, he makes his own videos, he writes his own lyrics. Hate all you want, but if that isnt true "hip hop" I dont know what is

I think you need to actually listen. Yes, he does have lyrical depth. He speaks very metaphorically and its sometimes hard to understand the message. But that doesnt mean that he doesnt have talent. He just does it in his own way. Hes trying to get his own sound out there, you cant exactly compare him to many artists just because hes so different.

I do not think this guy is necessarily doing anything real, i think hes doing what will make him stand out, like majority of artists. If you listened to Goblin, you would know that it shows Tyler in that album losing his sanity and his egos starting to come out more and more. Yea there's shock but in that album it has a purpose. This is how it is for every album and work, they all have a purpose. GTFO man.

@omone00 his beats suck, if his beats suck dont praise them for being homemade go for an artist who does it homemade and actually good, second his lyrical content sucks. same shit over and over again with different words and no flow at all. hes taking hiphop and beating t with a stick worse than most people out there. listen to classified, hyperaptive, or some other homegrown shit where the person makes their own beats, writes their own lyrics, and does it actually good.

If you take offense to his music and are bothered by it, then maybe you need to assess how strong you really stand by your beliefs. If you're truly a strong, firm standing Christian or whatever, you shouldnt be offended by what someone says in music that contradicts your beliefs. You can still enjoy his music because he's only trying to entertain, he could care less what his fans believe. I'm sure some of his friends are Christian even.
