OMG! I can't get skins on my R4 I don't have a folder called themes and even though I create on inside systems with 12 folders and 12 themes inside, it still doesn't work when i hit select! Please reply..?!!? I also can't find the original skin because I probably is built into the R4.

im prbably doing something wrong.... i placed it next to the Ebook file and since there were no other skins near the file Ebook or in it i couldnt delete it.... i did notice there were skins at the moonshll file so i deleted them and when i started i didnt get my selected theme.... i tried it again now with the moonshll skins and stil nothing.... i tried it 5 times on 5 different ways and nothing.... can someone help me?

You don't need to have 12 themes. You just have to make sure that they're in a folder called "themes", and the theme folders are named like "theme01", "theme02", and so on.

I'm not sure if it's case sensitive, but you might as well just stick with what works.

I'd just like to point out that it doesn't matter which order you put the files in, or where in the directory you put them. As long as they exist somewhere in the directory, it's fine.

As for multiple themes. You may create a folder inside your _system_ folder called "themes". In there, you can place multiple folders named theme01, theme02, ..., theme12. This allows you to carry up to 12 skins. Cycle through them with SELECT. The one you've chosen will stay default until you change it again.

cuz they dont explain very well basicly all u need to tell the guy who made this vid have a cup of stfu and download theme copy all the files in the system folder and paste it their thats it dont need to put it in ebooks or make any folder just copy and past how hard is that well u tell me when u done it...seriously it works if it dont its probly ur skin try a diffrent one

hey man. ive been through 2 whole days of this.

i deleted my themes folder and made a new one called themes. and then i put right next to ebook. then i put the themes into a folder in themes called theme1 and i cant find it on my ds only when im multi media i can see the picture. but it wont use the skin. it always uses the same shit orgininal skin. and i looked for the original skin to delete it but couldnt find it. i didnt set the original theme the order is bkr1 bkr2 logo icon. help please

Now when you load your DS with R4 just press select to cycle through your themes collection and press the A button to select.

last question though does the R4DS work with micro SD cards past a 2 gib? I want to get a 4 gib micro SD card, but not sure if R4DS will read it or can I've heard some sketchy answers to this questions

second unzip the rar file and go to sys. file, from there all you need to take out of it is the themes folder "which is no longer in the newer kernal versions which is why we can't find it. copy and past it to your micro SD card in the sys. file.

thirdly you do exactly what you did for one skin, except you now have 12 sepreate folders within the new themes folder you copied and pased.

I found out how to have multipule skins at once..

first you need to download kernal v1.10 off of R4DS's website "if you typed what verson kernal you are looking for you'll get a direct link"

if you want games, music and movies and great performance then r4 is the way to go. but if you want just games, high quality, and simple use than M3 is the way to go
