First let me tell you I ride. I have ridden like a cut cat on many a twisty road. I APPLAUD the van for not stopping. It was a very good decision on the drivers part. A pack of angry self righteous bikers (including me) can get out of control real quick. Especially when someone is down.
I own a harley davidson and, that bike is plenty capable of taking that curve with a skilled rider on it. Anyone attempting to pass on a double line or blind curve like that needs to find another hobby.

I know that to the uninitiated, bikers are scary, but they really ought to have offered to help.
Those bikes are real heavy, and getting it out of that ditch must have been no easy feat.
Chances are they would have declined, but it's polite to offer.

@L4Isoside The corner was blind enough, they wouldnt have ridden straight into the edge like idiots if they could see what was there, and anyway i think the fact that one harley went over the edge and the other harley almost did is proof that it couldn't have been done perfectly safely on a harley.

i'm not a harley guy by any means; purely a sport bike enthusiast. although, regardless of what kind of bike or person crashes, if you see someone down, stop and see if they are alright, ESPECIALLY IF IT HAPPENS RIGHT IN FRONT OF YOU. that driver needs to take some initiative and not be an ignorant asshole

I love bikes also man, but I'm taking a nice stroll through the woods and a bunch of bikers roll by me like I'm their bitch? Not even a nod or anything, yeah... I'll think twice about stopping ONLY if it were just him. But in his case, he had PLENTY of people checking on him. So I'd keep going. Karma bites if you poke it.

Okay...most people will pull over for a horde of bikes behind them...most polite people, specially if you know the road doesn't have any passing for a while...
But the biker was a MORON, he couldn't even handle a simple corner. He had it just right and some how just wrecks....Instead of waiting for STRAIGHT to pass...he does a corner...instead of braking on the rear to slow down for the tighter left hand, he straightens out and crashes. He could have actually TIPPED the bike a bit too...idiot

@3bigblackbears hes not fleeing anything....its only considered fleeing the scene of an accident when you are directly involved IN the accident.....he did absolutely nothing to cause that and was not involved in any way. Biker dudes tried to overtake on a double solid yellow line approaching a blind curve. Their mistake, not his, he didnt hit them with the car or anything like that either so he wasnt involved whatsoever.

@3bigblackbears i also agree, if it was me, i would have been the first to get out the car and provide aid. But not everyone's the same i guess, and when you're up against a group of bikers that probably think it was your fault they crashed, i can see how someone would hesitate. Personally i would have gotten out and helped as soon as possible, and that way the bikers see that you are trying to help even if it was your fault or not.

First let me tell you I ride. I have ridden like a cut cat on many a twisty road. I APPLAUD the van for not stopping. It was a very good decision on the drivers part. A pack of angry self righteous bikers (including me) can get out of control real quick. Especially when someone is down.

I own a harley davidson and, that bike is plenty capable of taking that curve with a skilled rider on it. Anyone attempting to pass on a double line or blind curve like that needs to find another hobby.

What would he have to stop for? They had nothing to do with the accident - not to mention the biker passed in a clear no passing zone, and was probably speeding - but the van driver was not at fault for anything.

Like most Harley riders these days. No idea how to really ride and completely lacking in any real machine control. Go back to your nice soft Caddy Mr. Doctor and stop trying to play the rebel. These days only a few Harley riders are real bikers. You are far more likely to find a real biker on a Jap bike and most of all on an old 2 stroke Jap bike.
