I've got a question, can a B'nei Anusim be considered Jewish if halachically they do all the rituals like the brit, mikveh, and the beit din?I'm of Jewish decent,my family practiced crypto-Judaism in secret. We kept kosher almost to the perfection. Our burial traditions were very similar to Jewish practices. My family married amongst themselves and often mentioned "Our father Abraham!"Would I be considered Jewish if I'm of Jewish decent maternally and paternally? We were forced to be Catholics.
@warrior0131 - This is really a question for a rabbi. However, I do know of many stories where B'nei Anusim have come back into Judaism. A great place to contact is Shavei Israel (shavei[dot]org).
There is no way to convert to Judaism since you have to be a child of Abraham to be a Jew, anybody who believes that you can simply convert to the people of God is not understanding the Torah or ignoring some facts. The only abrahamic faiths you can convert to is Christianity or Islam.
@Hallo33able That is not true. I was born a Jew and have practiced Judaism all my life. I know people who were not born or raised Jewish, who practice and have fully converted to the religion of Judaism. Judaism is the only one of the three Abrahamic religions to not seek converts.
@Hallo33able No offense but you are wrong. It says in the jewish bible many laws of how to treat converts. One very important law regarding jewish converts is to treat them kindly and that they are on the same level as you. So im not sorry to say that ur wrong
Hey brothers and sisters. Please have a look at my short video titled 'To All The People In The World'. It gives a positive message on how we should accept each other no matter what religion/idelogy or belief. Thanks you for your coöperation.
According to halachah (Jewish Law) a convert is fully and completely a Jew. Of course, people are fallible and some do treat converts as outsiders but this is completely antithetical to halachah.
@becomingjewishorg In Judaism you are a Jew if you fully convert. That doesn't mean secular Jews will consider you part of the heritage and ethnicity.
@elikron4ever - I understand that not all Jews will consider me a Jew due to their own arrogance and ignorance. It is only important to me what the Torah says and what Hashem wants from me.
@becomingjewishorg That is fine. If you are a religious man and that is how your Jewish identity has emerged, than that it was is important, as long as you have converted and been bar mitzvahed. Some secular Jews would still not identify with you simply because all of their Jewish identity lies outside of religion mostly, whereas yours completely lies within it.
It is wonderful if you have "fallen in love" with Hashem. However, to show this in life a person must live according to Torah (in your case, the Noachide Laws).
when i am just, for example, interested in judaism or even could imagine it was "true", i accept the noachide laws as moral standart and live my life by them.. actually from Judaism's point of view i dont really need to convert do I? I mean just being a good zaddic is actually the role thats planned for people like me isnt it? and can i still pray for example in a synagoge. because i am not christian or muslim..
@TheAnGerman - First, one is only considered a righteous gentile if he/she follows the Noahide Laws because G-d commanded them (not just because they make sense). Since you are interested in praying and leading a Torah-based life I would say this does include you. No, you do not need to convert. Remaining a committed Noahide is acceptable. Yes you can daven in a synagogue but make sure that you are not asked to read from the Torah or perform other Jewish functions.
strictly speaking the noachide laws do not even contain the belief in G-d, so why would my motivation as a non-jew be that G-d commanded them? this contradicts the message that deeds count more than belief. and if it wasnt so, the principe of being zaddik would be needless, because if i do believe in G-d anyway, then why wouldnt become jewish? I thought it was created for people who are not religious and maybe do not even believe in G-d but accept the laws..mmh
@TheAnGerman You are right, but the Noachide laws are to followed for the messiah to come. There roots are in the Torah. If you are a good person that is the point. If you believe in following rules from the Torah, then it would be because you believe in the one, and the coming of the messiah. People of any faith or no faith can follow the rules, but being a decent human being does not mean you follow the Noachide laws. I would still consider you righteous, but I am not Orthodox.
Once someone converts under halachah (Jewish Law) he/she IS a Jew. They are to be treated like any other Jews and never reminded of the fact that they are converts.
@becomingjewishorg how long does it take to learn from scretch about judaism and then convert to being a jew? can that be done in a year's time if u really put ur heart into learning abt it everyday??
It really is up to the potential convert and his/her rabbi. In general a year is the minimum that it takes for one to convert but there are a lot of factors that go into that decision. One main reason for taking a year is so the potential convert can experience a full year of holidays and Torah readings.
I heard many hate speech against the Jews, but I have never heard the side of the Jew people themselves. No, I don't listen to the zionist side, but to the true Jewish people. I also have interest on the Jewish religion, and I have never been exposed to it. Therefore, I say great channel, and I hope to see all your videos and ideas. I like to hear those whose ideas are different of mine, and how they could influence my views.
today, I stood up for Jews in school. some boys were talking about Jews like they were a joke so I told them that it was extremely offensive toward me, they looked at me weird and asked if I was a Jew, I'm not (yet) but I did say that I was, because I'm still new at this and I didnt want to have to explain to them what I barely understood myself...but they did stop, witch made me happy, and I'm hoping they wont be disrespectful again.
I'm considering converting to Judaism...mostly because of the beliefs and how similar they are to my personal opinions. However, I'm 14 years old and my family has no religion. I dont know how the conversion process would work for me. I've been studying the religion on my own and I feel like I'm ready to begin the conversion process. Any advice on what I should do?
Islam is an imitation of Judaism, which was carried out by pagans from Saudi Arabia.
This forgery attracts many fans, because imitation always cheaper than the original thing:)
Only a madman would go after a group of pagan barbarians who did for themselves a prophet. Without a clue, who is God, what have prophecy, what does the Torah, what is a messenger, what do the Jews. They knew idolatry. Not the God of Israel.
Logic, reason, tradition, history, the Bible = Muhammad is a cheap fake.:)
The Talmud is hands-down the most disgustingly racist, psychopathic, blood-lusting, godless & depraved book ever written.
It is more sick and disturbing than Hitler's Mein Kampf, the Communist Manifesto, Protocols of the Learned Elders of Zion & The Satanic Bible put together.
If you want to read about how it is OK to rape Goyim women as long as they are over 3 years old, and that sex with dogs is fine as long as you pay them for it, then this is the book for you.
