Muchas gracias!!! Thanks to your video I have a spiffy new tune under my fingers (and my 6 kids are impressed with their mom). It's a really pretty tune.
Yeah, John and Johanna Hall. I learned it back in 1980 the way Orleans played it, and "discovered" Chet for the first time when I heard his version on the radio. Changed my musical life. Lovely song. Still like the Orleans version best, though. The VOCALS are amazing!
Hi.I love this song.First heard it when I was a kid & its been haunting me ever since.Did Orleans really do a version of it?As a kid I think it was their version I heard. Its been buggin me for ages.I can't find anywhere here.
Yep. I believe it was on the the LP Still The One.
Last cut on the B side as I recall. It's available online on both Rhpasody and Napster. CDUNIVERSE sells it on a compilation CD. I would be shocked and elated if there were a video of Orleans performing this. It was an obscure track that few took notice of until Chet played it. John Hall is an elected official in NY now. He still plays too.
OH, I just rememberd - I have the video of the one Steve Warniner and Chet did. Ha - Steve flubbed a chord in it! It was broadcast on TNN - from the Read My Licks tour.
I learned this song a long time ago from tab in one of Chet Atkins' books called "Chet Atkins Guitar For All Seasons". Tried an online search but couldn't find it anywhere, sorry.
nailed that well!

Yeah this was written by the husband/wife team who wrote Dance With Me. Steve Wariner does this fantastically.
He and Chet had a tv appearance and played this. Look for the .tef file if you want the tab

@runner1x ultimate guitar has a fairly legit version of this if you have power tab software.

I don't know why more pickers don't play this one, a beautiful melody and beautifully done.
