  • SHOUT 2 L.I. BEZ. DAC. LI. NY NY

  • Anybody got the MP3 of this track?? Not on iTunes

  • Immediately 15 years younger :-)... Great music. Where is hip hop gone. My solution to get the beat back...listening to oldschool. Maybe anytime hip hop comes back.

  • @Yanks777Jets75 Politics after their first breakup!

  • underratted but congradulated

  • Parrish was seriously inspired by this beat in the first bar, almost reaching "So Whatcha Sayin" levels.

And, this beat is fucking insane. The yell sample in the hook is perfect.

  • Damn, one of the first rap tapes I was to get my hands on back in 93. Hooked ever since. @ Yanks777 the release did seem very limited, and only available via import outside the states.

  • This song makes me want to get an EPMD tattoo.

  • I saw this cover in the "Juice" movie :))

  • this right here goes so hard yo...bumps in my truck!! lol miss this kind of hiphop 4real!

  • I first head this during the summer of 1992. Right before my senior year of high school.

  • 1 2 1 2 mic check and im packed with a fireweapon

  • Ah...my shit! This was the first album I bought with my first paycheck from my first job at McDonald's as a 16 year old back in 92...wow...still bangin'

  • I first heard this album when my mom got this cassette for me as a christmas present in 1992. I remember waking up christmas morning and finding this tape under the tree. I was so exited I was going to listen to it! I was instantly hooked from the moment I heard this amazing opening track. It was such a great feeling. This is hip-hop at it's finest. Thank you so much for posting this up and bringing back some very good memories. :-)

  • shout out 2 d.j scratch

  • that 2 stab bass on this joint is dangerous...!

  • noooooooobody made timbs, hoodies, and fisherman hats look cool better than e and p...hands down tight cut

  • I whyle the fuck out when this comes on

  • plus 80

  • Whyle the fuck out!Thats the correct way to describe ones reacrtion to Boondox!Well said brother!

  • whats boon dox?

  • Somewhere that's far out like "the country" or "the island". EPMD are from from Eastern Long Island which is considered the Boondox to people from the 5 boroughs of NYC!

  • Got this on tape still and business as usaul.

  • But it's mine-einstein just like the nine-rockin my jock-loaded for prime time

  • Business Never Personal was seriously heavy. My favorite EPMD album, hands down.

  • yeah that was probably their best album

  • STRONG ISLAND BITCHES!

  • Thanx for this...I just had a flashback of being 14....I cant find this album anywhere.....I think its out of print which seriously wouldnt make sense

  • Yeah its the same here in england mate old skool hip hop is more sought after now than its ever been but you cant find it in shops for love nor money (an english sayin lol) you could try discogs site though, ur bound to have some luck there. :)

  • Next to a tribe called quest my fav rap group, epmd are the real deal :)

  • lol u would say that seeing to what hip-hop u listen to nigga!!!........i understand this real hip hop isnt for lil kids like u......so go listen to that bull shit rap u listen to

  • This account is closed.

    lol.

  • My Favorite Group Here doin what they do! This joint here stayed in the cassette player!! lol

  • All 4 albums from 88-92 are classic albums

    Strickly Business

    Unfinished Business

    Business As Usual

    Business Never Personal

  • yeah that'S true and i'm proud to have on vinyl

  • How would you rank them? I would say 1)Unfinished Business, 2)Strictly Business (could easily be first due to the introduction of K-SOLO), 3) Business As Usual (could easily be first due to the introduction/debut of Redman), 4)Business Never Personal. Just my opinion of course. My favorite EPMD album is pretty much whichever one I'm currently listening too because there's really not much separating the first four albums.

  • Unfinished Business - The Best Of The First 4

    Strictly Business -

Business As Usual - A lot of hits on here

    Business Never Personal

    Cant go wrong either way

  • I agree. I made a typo earlier. Unfinished Business debuted K-Solo not Strictly as I mistakenly typed earlier. But you're right, it's a win-win situation.

  • I must agree with you on that!!! That is a true statement and backed with classic tracks. EPMD AND QUEST HELD IT DOWN IN THOSE DAYS. A RARE FEAT BY EPMD!!! THEY WERE ON THAT EARTH, WIND & FIRE LEVEL.

  • you forgot back in business. lots of classic joints on there too. just my opinion of course

  • True indeed. All four of their first albums are classic. I like "Unfinished Business" the most because it was their sophmore album and it proved they were no fluke but the real deal.

  • epmd at their peak... most influential was strictly biz but this is their best album no doubt

  • Has anyone found "Nobody's Safe Chump" on Youtube yet?

  • you was reading my mind, i am looking for that too.

  • best album by EPMD

  • Got damn it, I have to agree with you! Alot of people say that "Strictly Business" is their best. I think it's dope as hell, but it don't knock like "Business Never Personal"!

  • yea, this song was dope as fuck!! use to just about blow my speakers everytime.

  • this track is sick. Business Never Personal is a underrated classic

  • Yeah it was underrated, also it`s also a shame that it was their last album before the break-up. Even though they got back together the chemistry hasn`t and will never be the same.
