exactly Effiefan. Being an **experienced** choir singer and having the honor of singing with Richard Smallwood in D.C. for a competition he tends to like to switch things up at the last minute so you have to be on your toes. It's not that they're unsure they just know how he is...lol

richard was definitely feeling this song. A live recording is different than practice so they might have practice song differently than when they sung it live. That's probably why they don't look sure.

Actually I've thought that a few times when I've seen them in person. I know that you have to limit your movement sometimes when you're doing a live recording but that doesn't explain the faces. Some of them look like they aren't sure where the song is going. LOL

Vision is not the type of music ministry that jumps, sways excessively, flips and moves all over the stage until it becomes a distraction. Vision MINISTERS first. On this "Journey" clip, they were moving as much as space would allow...I was there and it looked extremely tight up there. Anyway, I guess this is a sensitive area for me because my own group is often accused of not moving enough on stage. Oh well....too each his own.

Exactly. It's "ministry", only, always with Richard and Vision! Because of this,& with a genre that is becoming more 'wordly' everyday with 'gospel competitions' (ugh), they don't get the secular, award winning recognition as others. But they're reward will be in heaven.

Having just watched this my honest inclination is that some of the women looked uncomfortable ... and it may have been down to Kim's vocal prowess. Vision has some real sanginnn' women so if that was it ... it needn't have been, but saying that they were dead through the entire song. Some of them are alot bigger than they used to be also, that has to factored in also. I mean just look at Charisse & Caroleen. Only Maurette is really still small.

I doubt it had to do with feeling threatened by her. Maybe they were in awe of her ministry and at the same time paying attention to Richard's direction. Sometimes HE didn't know where she was going.

Well that is nonsense because they are a professional outfit and this is clearly rehearsed. She is not leading the song, RIchard leads the song being that he is the choir director ... Their expressions are clearly denigrating towards her (that is my opinion)

Yes, they are clearly rehearsed and professional. No one is taking that from them. Clearly, it's not nonsense,considering the type of improvising singer Kim is. Do you think she vamps that same number of bars everytime they rehearsed this song? No. Richard, without looking at her, was feeling her ad-libs while staying true to the composition.

I do not think you have ever sung in a choir! It does not matter how she sings or now often. The lead singer does not control a song. No matter how many times they riff or ad lib. That is entirely up to the Choir Director. It does not matter how many times the vamp is sung since it is the same vamp. You are speaking from a place of inexperience or ignorance!

Where are the insults! You are getting all 'holy' because you are resorting to it as a defense when in fact you know you are INCORRECT! Kim is not controlling the sing. The song is rehearsed and any extensions are easily controllable. That is what being in a choir is about.

Yeah Vision is on the album, they sing back up on all the tracks except with the smallwood singers and the hawkins tracks.
