My father inlaw just bought one of these that Im not convinced is original.... do you recomend any sites etc to check the details....his has the lifting rear window... but it is missing alot of other details like badging and a different interior kit.... its not a patch on your one above... regards

@themanofthecloth Easiest thing to do is to check the trim tag, which is the silver rectangular tag attached to body that can be viewed in the forward driver's door jamb area when the door is open. This metal tag should have a '59' on it for 'Silver Beige', which was only on Collector Edition cars.

Hard to say if it's been replaced or not -- it looks to be completely correct for the car, and could have been covered since new as it came to us wearing the plastic cover that someone carelessly took off and threw in the passenger seat.
