@4JUGE4 OK, yeah that was a good battle, but Massa has a bit of a reputation for being worse in the wet than the other front runners. Remember Silverstone '08? Massa span FIVE times, finished more than 2 laps behind Hamilton and was last of all who finished the race, and it not like he had any kind of contact or other incident.

Mark is ok with him, I wouldn't say he likes him the way you think. But I think Fernando prefers it that way, not to get too friendly with other drivers, which is fair enough.

Before 2000 it was years since their previous championship. Sometimes even Ferrari struggle. But Stefano secretly has confidence-like Fernando and Felipe. well first of all theres no doubt about the fact felipe isn't in his best form since last season - but he's in my opinion not just a great driver he's also maybe the top in kind of sportsmanship. he's struggling on the hard tyres but on the soft he's at the same level as alonso and I think he has everything you need for the title - he needs luck that's it

But I also think that Felipe is not gifted enough to become a World Champion. He never showed a solid drive with regularity, consistency and concentration. He often makes inappropriate mistakes for a Ferrari driver, he seems to be unsecure. It could also be matter of lack of self-confident.
well in my opinion these arguments are very subjektive and I'm not talking about singapore or hungary. I think massa proved since 2008 until his accident that he has anything for winning the title.
yeah he had silverstone but he won brasil so he proved he's also able under big pressure and in raining conditions (I think lewis has his problems standing under pressuer but it's just a "feeling = subjektive"^^)
look it was raining and felipe was on pole with more fuel. in the first laps he was the fastest driver and just hamilton was able to being a threat for felipe. than lewis hit the barrier and so he was 50seconds behind felipe but only at p4 because the gap before hitting the barrier was so huge. but two laps later he was directly behind felipe due to an safety-car period because many drivers (even alonso) hitting the barrier too...
after the restart massa was again the fastet but made a small mistake by not hitting the wall but loosing the lead to kubica. then in the end a huge strategic mistake cost him the victory but that's not the matter. if felipe would have hit the barrier many would say "well he's not good in the rain..." but just because lewis won thanks to the special circumstances this mistake wasn't discussed in the media.

Apparently, Massa doesn't take getting passed by Alonso very well, does he? I think Massa felt initimidated by Alonso when Alonso came to Ferrari and that's why Massa had such a bad 2010 season. Hopefully, he's gotten over it and will drive better in 2011.

@jjamiljj Bah! Do you really believe what you are saying? Every body knows on that season Mclaren was working only for LH car. In the last 3 races of the champ, the performance of Alonso's car went suspiciously down. Ron Dennis lost 2007 champ. All drivers agree FA is the best driver on the grid.
@jjamiljj Alonso was faster, hamilton got poles thanks to the team almost always giving him the extra lap. If you recall in that season they had to burn fuel so in some circuits one of the pilots had an extra lap to burn fuel and reduce weight, that's about 2 tenths advantage. Also, Alonso car had a couple suspicious accident in the garage. You cannot argue that the team wanted Lewis to win, even Ron Dennis slipped and referred to Alonso in China as "the enemy"

Cuando escuche que Fernando Alonso llegaba al equipo Vodafone McLaren Mercedes me emocione mucho ya que Fernando era el unico piloto que podia hacer al equipo McLaren campión una vez más tanto en el campeonato de pilotos como de constructores y asi hacerle frente a Kimi Raikkonen y la Scuderia Ferrari. Es una verdadera lastima que McLaren lo haya deja ir.
Uno de los mejores duelos de los últimos años, increíble. Para mi el mejor adelantamiento de Alonso en su carrera, 800 veces por encima del sobrevaloradísimo adelantamiento en la 130R a Schumacher.
Great video, I watched it live myself... The race went over the 2-hour barrier with a break in between, where Alonso was enjoying the sun on the grid getting a new helmet. It really was a race to watch with all the drama involved.

Im sorry but Alonso had the same car and the same conditions as Hamilton. He never complained about his car.

But in my opinion, he was not good enough to win that season.

You can't compare 2007 and 2009 season. In 2007 he had an AMAZING car, but if he wasn't treated as he was (like in Hungary,being poleman and retrased to de 5 position on the Start) he would have won the Championship, and everyone knows it.
In 2009 he had an horrible car, the same as Lewis at the beggining, but McLaren improved and Renault didn't do it.
This year he won't complain about the treatment, and with a car like Ferrari, I doubt that Lewis can beat him.
But before Spanish people start saying crap, I think Massa and Alonso will be a great team, and I think that Alonso may be the champions, but just if he go back to that young and filamentous driver, not the spoiled and push car on others Alonso.

My Friend, the same way I admitted that Alonso is a great driver, you should do the same about Massa. He is great, and if Alonso start winning, Massa has the same car, so he would be good too. alonso tenia todo para ser el schumacher de mclaren. comienzo en minardi, 2 mundiales en renault (benetton shumacher) con un equipo menor. shumacher fixo por ferrari y triunfo. tardo mas d elo esperado pero gano. And something else. Please people get this idea out of your head that Felipe was intimidated by Fernando. He just came back into the sport after a horrific accident. A two times world champion has come in and the team love him so much. Felipe wasn't intimidated - Ferrari just made it clear who they favour. The other drivers never would say he is the best driver - they say ONE of the best - and I agree one of the best. And Fernando overtaking Felipe at Germany was not Fernando's fault, but Fernando could have handled it better.

He got along well with Fisico and Trully in Renault (They all are still friends). He has a really good rellationship with Webber and with Button(Button was in Renault with Fernando). @jalexvivi Fisi never got on with him at all. Like Fisi, Jenson put up with him, just to make the best out of it. But they never really LIKED him, you can tell. Mark is ok with him, I wouldn't say he likes him the way you think. But I think Fernando prefers it that way, not to get too friendly with other drivers, which is fair enough.

FA is very dissapointed with his season so far and Massa is happy with his sixth place!! It is just sad and unappropiate for a Ferrari driver! I think he hasn't got that special thing that the miths of F1 have, that allowed them to win championships.

@jalexvivi I can understand about that special thing. I don't think it's unappropriate for a Ferrari driver to come 6th. Ferrari can't win everything. Before 2000 it was years since their previous championship. Sometimes even Ferrari struggle. But Stefano secretly has confidence-like Fernando and Felipe. They both know that the season is far from over.

well first of all theres no doubt about the fact felipe isn't in his best form since last season - but he's in my opinion not just a great driver he's also maybe the top in kind of sportsmanship. he's struggling on the hard tyres but on the soft he's at the same level as alonso and I think he has everything you need for the title - he needs luck that's it

But I also think that Felipe is not gifted enough to become a World Champion. He never showed a solid drive with regularity, consistency and concentration. He often makes inappropriate mistakes for a Ferrari driver, he seems to be unsecure. It could also be matter of lack of self-confident.

yeah he had silverstone but he won brasil so he proved he's also able under big pressure and in raining conditions (I think lewis has his problems standing under pressuer but it's just a "feeling = subjektive"^^)

look it was raining and felipe was on pole with more fuel. in the first laps he was the fastest driver and just hamilton was able to being a threat for felipe. than lewis hit the barrier and so he was 50seconds behind felipe but only at p4 because the gap before hitting the barrier was so huge. but two laps later he was directly behind felipe due to an safety-car period because many drivers (even alonso) hitting the barrier too...

after the restart massa was again the fastet but made a small mistake by not hitting the wall but loosing the lead to kubica. then in the end a huge strategic mistake cost him the victory but that's not the matter. if felipe would have hit the barrier many would say "well he's not good in the rain..." but just because lewis won thanks to the special circumstances this mistake wasn't discussed in the media.

Apparently, Massa doesn't take getting passed by Alonso very well, does he? I think Massa felt initimidated by Alonso when Alonso came to Ferrari and that's why Massa had such a bad 2010 season. Hopefully, he's gotten over it and will drive better in 2011.

@jjamiljj Alonso was faster, hamilton got poles thanks to the team almost always giving him the extra lap. If you recall in that season they had to burn fuel so in some circuits one of the pilots had an extra lap to burn fuel and reduce weight, that's about 2 tenths advantage. Also, Alonso car had a couple suspicious accident in the garage. You cannot argue that the team wanted Lewis to win, even Ron Dennis slipped and referred to Alonso in China as "the enemy"

Cuando escuche que Fernando Alonso llegaba al equipo Vodafone McLaren Mercedes me emocione mucho ya que Fernando era el unico piloto que podia hacer al equipo McLaren campión una vez más tanto en el campeonato de pilotos como de constructores y asi hacerle frente a Kimi Raikkonen y la Scuderia Ferrari. Great video, I watched it live myself... The race went over the 2-hour barrier with a break in between, where Alonso was enjoying the sun on the grid getting a new helmet. It really was a race to watch with all the drama involved.
I hope the spectators are right about the 2010 season, saying that Ferrari is on top.

Your comment is not precise enough. Ron Dennis finished ahead from Alonso, not Hamilton.

Im sorry but Alonso had the same car and the same conditions as Hamilton. He never complained about his car.
He complained about the treatment.
But in my opinion, he was not good enough to win that season.
It doesnt mean that Alonso is a bad driver..the opposite. Hes great, of course. The point is that F1 is really cool just because you really dont know what will happen in the next race, next season.
And so, thats why you cant say that Alonso will or wont be the world champion..

I see your point and agree with you when you say it isn't possible to know who will win.
But regarding the McLaren affair I can not agree with you when you say that. Listen to Alonso comments in the lasts races of that season. His car was not performing right, Hamilton's car was much quicker than his. So eventhough it was the same car, it's obvious set ups were very different. Quite strange, isn't?
Anyway, I wish Alonso wins this year's Champ.

In 2007 there was an incredible treatment for Fernando, and even whith that treatment he didn't won the Championship for only 1 POINT of difference.
That's the difference between a good driver and a FANTASTIC driver.
In Ferrary nobody will treat him bad, you will see 2006's Fernando.
Hamilton is really good and fast, but he'll never be Fernando Alonso.
I'm from Oviedo, Alonso's City, and this is my point of view.
Fernando is one of the best drivers in the history of F1, and no one can doubt it.

i dont doubt fernando is great, but he lost the championship. His car was not bad, really not.
Hamilton was better than him in that year, just it.
Fernando could not make milacres...otherwise his renault last year (2009) would be fast, right?! And we did not see it., right? And this time, he cant complain about the treatment, right?

You can't compare 2007 and 2009 season. In 2007 he had an AMAZING car, but if he wasn't treated as he was (like in Hungary,being poleman and retrased to de 5 position on the Start) he would have won the Championship, and everyone knows it.
In 2009 he had an horrible car, the same as Lewis at the beggining, but McLaren improved and Renault didn't do it.
This year he won't complain about the treatment, and with a car like Ferrari, I doubt that Lewis can beat him.

In 2007 he had a great car, he didn't had Lewis' treatment and Lewis DIDN'T BEAT HIM, they finalized the season with the same points.
I don't know what gonna happen too, but i hope this year Alonso can beat Lewis, and I hope an amazing battle between them.
Senna, simply AMAZING...
What I'm sure is that, this year, Massa will be a little upset xD

But before Spanish people start saying crap, I think Massa and Alonso will be a great team, and I think that Alonso may be the champions, but just if he go back to that young and filamentous driver, not the spoiled and push car on others Alonso.

My friend, the sentences "..spanish people saying crap" and "..peace spain form brazil" put together in the same text is a little contradictory isn't? First you throw the stone and then you hide your hand...But anyway, Massa will not be the man to be beated by Alonso, he will have to be carefull about other guys like Hamilton, Button and propably Shumi...it is my opinion...

My Friend, the same way I admitted that Alonso is a great driver, you should do the same about Massa. He is great, and if Alonso start winning, Massa has the same car, so he would be good too. I´m not saying that Hamilton and Button is trash, but with Massa having the same car he will be the biggest man to be beated.
And I´m still learning English and the ``saying crap´´ was the only thing that I found to try to stop some comments.

I think there is no bad drivers in F-1, they all are the world's bests. But the diffrence between them, despite the car, it's some special gift, let's say a "sparkle given by God", that only a few drivers in history got it and I think Massa hasn't. He's a great driver; yeah of course, but there's something in him that tells me he is an eternal "looser", same as Rubinho, Fisichella, Trulli, etc...Sorry man, that's the way I see it...

About what you are saying about Massa winning if he has the same car, sorry to remind you that Massa had the same car as Shumi and Raikonnen, hasn't he? The same way Trulli and Fisichella had the same car as Alonso when he won the 2 titles, but they didn't do a good championship, Trulli was "ok" but Fisico did crap. It is correct to say "saying crap" in Englilsh but it is not nice to assume Spanish people is going to say it, it is a kind of insult.
