I beg to differ. It's certainly flashier, but there's plenty of heart.  You can't say there wasn't heart in Spock's loss of his planet and his mother, or the sorrow and hope in Spock Prime when he finds Kirk on Delta Vega. The heart of the film is the same as the heart of the series, and it's summed up in one line that echoes throughout the story: "I have been, and always shall be, your friend."

As for heroism, I'd like to point out George Kirk.

This song is one of the most beautiful (and sadly overused) songs I've ever heard. I love that you made this your own despite the fact that everyone and their mother uses it. The editing is wonderful, simply and pretty despite the rough quality of the clips. I LOVE, in other words.

This is amazing. You said in the comment on the side 'sorry for the lack of effects' but I don't think there is a lack, I think you've used the right ones in the right places to make this video beautiful. And I think you've done the song justice, because you've show the sense of loss and emptiness but also the hope of a better day, which is the whole point of the song. Shame I can only give it 5 stars
