  • the honda civic si has always been an all around enjoyable automobile, but this generation destroyed what made the car unique - the high reving engine, which car & driver magazine established was no quicker than the 2006-2011 civic si even with the added torque. add to that an abnormal exterior design and cheap interior materials, and the 2012 civic si becomes a disappointment.

  • for same price as Si u can get much faster, stylish cars

  • @bairdandrew77 Agreed... Stick to using them as gas savers.. Lol

  • Get with the big dogs! Turbo it or quit trying to compete with other tuner cars. This is a joke

  • ALL new cars (and bikes) look fucking ugly :| whats going on? 2007-2008 cars looked good... i mean, just look at the new BMWs soooo ugly

  • @zlyable Google "2013 Ford Fusion"

  • I really think they should stop making sports car versions of civics..

  • @SDkawi6 either that or they should try making them worth getting

  • Ouch. 15.1 1/4? I have a na 4 banger from the late 80's that gives me a 15.2 Figured the civic would be faster. They put the gay 2.4 in so no more screaming 8k rpm.

  • @MangoSmoothie16

I have no idea what this car runs in the 1/4 and I don't really care, but generally, Inside Line is about a half a second "on average" slower (1/4 Mile) than the magazines for some reason or another. They also have worse skidpad, slalom and braking numbers too.

  • @IrishChris1979 zeroto60times has the sedan at 14.5 and the coupe and 14.7 with 0-60 in 6 sec for the sedan and 6.4 for the coupe. The difference in 0-60 and 1/4 mile times between the 2 are sketchy but those numbers sound better haha.

  • @IrishChris1979

Oh, so I was pretty close. Yeah, like I said, I don't know why these guys always lag behind everyone else in their testing?

  • Honda**

  • The previous gen is a way better car, first this is ugly as hell and seems a little slow for the 2.4 it brings, got to luv the previous gen Si i don't know what hind was thinking when they made this car.

  • The train honked!

  • I fuking hate this ugly car omg -____- I loved Civics right up until this car came out ...

  • My God this car is UGLY!

  • The front looks to feminine and the back is just ugly. The rims are even ugly. Actually the whole car is ugly it was a fail

  • Looks so un sporty wtf skinny ass wheels tall ride height and its slow

  • dude! looks like it was gona flip for a sec! LOL

  • get the camaro this is ugly

  • @rowsdower im guessing you mean buy the si right?

  • Dam well still thinkin bout buyin this car or a 2012 Camaro... What do yall think?

  • @CNJ0525 Buy it!

  • @CNJ0525 don't buy this car bro.. For that buy an 8th gen si.

  • lmao 15 second quarter mile time...... wow

  • wow the back is uglyyyy

  • TOOT TOOT

  • It's funny how the si's competitors need a turbo or supercharger to keep up with it. Like the Mazda3, Cobalt ss, Srt4, Gti... There all POS

  • Been driving miy 2012 si now for 1 month. Loged 2500 miles already and I'm loving it more everyday. My 3rd Si in 22 years and its the best one I've owned. You can feel the engine when you pull out of the driveway and not just when your accelerating at higher rpms. It is the very fast while not killng you at the pump. I always like the looks European version more than the US model, not this time. For those boys out there who miss the oversized wing on the back, you can always bolt one on.

  • Type-R was built to drive off the lot and go to the track in case people forgot?

And im talkimg about lapping not 1/4 mile racing. Hopefully Honda will sell something like the the R sometime soon.

  • what's with the rear end? shape is like the MB cls

  • Honda is getting uglier and uglier day by day. the previous model actually looks much better. the new civic sedan is just horrible it reminds of a cheap dodge neon from 8 years ago.

  • @TigerKurdish at least the accords looks good hahah

  • Just got my new SI 2012, and believe me, its impressive, now every sport compact are turbocharged, and look at the stats, only with their iv-tec honda kick some turbocharged pocket rocket, so who's the fool. I like simple mecanic sport car, no integral or turbo, less stuff, less problems. a guy who is proud to kick asses with his stock SI without turbo charged. Eat that Mycouqhlin .....lol

  • @Allezmanu76 all I said was the rear end looks bad lol

  • That's awesome! Love the train horn in the back haha! I'm reading a bunch of reviews on 9thcivic.com before mine arrives! I can't wait :D

  • love dat horn at 0:17

  • Why must they have a single pipe.....

  • ITS SAD..........IM REALY SAD AND LET DOWN BY HONDA, I WILL NEVER PURCHASE ANOTHER HONDA, NEW ATLEAST. I OWN A 2007 CIVIC SI BLACK...AND HAVE OWN 3 OTHER HONDAS, BUT THESE "NEW" CAR, IS JUST RIGHT DOWN INSULTING TO ALL OF US THAT AT ONE POINT IN OUR LIVES HAVE SPONSORED HONDA SO HIGH, AND BROUGHT IT TO CULT STATUS, AND THEY GIVE US THIS? A 7 YEAR OLD ENGINE? AND THEY TOOK 5 YEARS TO DEVELOP THAT? AM I ALONE IN THIS FEELINGS?

  • @8000RPMS Cry me a river. It's no longer a "boy racer cum box" You're just upset that the civic Si finally grew up... Don't worry.. the aftermarket will make it what everyone wants... stop crying though....

  • Why are people saying that it looks aweful? Don't you guys remember all the critisim that was going on when the 2006 model came out? It's always the same old story.. Each car that Honda makes is hated and then loved. It was also the same thing with the Sir in 2000. Personally, it looks much better than the FN2 except that it is too high and the interior quality has dropped. What I don't like is that the SI is not special anymore because you can rev almost any car up to 7000 Rpms.

  • car brakes fucking suck brembo come on

  • The only reason I would get that over the WRX is the mileage , but I haven't seen it in person yet, I can't say much. It is fugly.

  • the 2011 chevy cruze will hold the track with this thing lol and gm was thinkin eco not performance unlike honda here

  • My friend test drove one of these and he said that the 2nd gear tops out just over 50mph lol So to hit 0-60mph you have to go into 3rd :/ I wonder if Honda would have made 2nd be able to hit 60 at the top if the time would be a bit better. He said the torque on this model vs his current 8th gen is a HUGE difference as well.

  • honda is a MOTOR company, you buy a honda for the engine.

P.S. every car company can make a turbocharged 4,6,8 cylinder

    engine. *cough*mustang fans, suck it*cough*

  • wtf the back is fugly!!

  • Arguing about a ''POS CHEVY-FORD" on the internet is like winning the science award at a special school, at the end of the day you're still retarded.

  • GM beats Audi, Volvo, Volkswagen and MB,

  • While some GM nameplates had been among the least reliable brands in past years, they now rank above some major European competitors. But as a company, GM is still far from tops in reliability. Ford continues to be the most reliable American automaker. Ninety percent of Fords, including Lincoln models, have at least average reliability. Honda and Acura are among the top four brands, with their models topping five vehicle categories (Consumer Reports)

  • its huge!

  • HONK HONK

  • I'm pissed because I just returned from Europe, the 2012 civics there look sporty, I saw the center up exhaust on one at a dealership in Odessa. Here in the USA they feed us this tame, safe looking version. I'm not buying it. I'm double pissed because I waited for this car!

  • 2012 Si looks like a granny car. Sorry Honda. I always buy Honda's but not this time.

  • They put a garbage k24 in these new SI. It's about the same quickness as a regular 8th gen k20z3. Honda failing yet again.

Still can't break out of the 15's stock? Lame.

  • @gibememoni

If you want to win a drag race get a muscle car. Honda's have and always will be about fun driving. not redneck speed. Plus need I remind you

    Subaru's 2.4L =170HP

    Nissan's 2.5L=175HP

    Volkswan2.5L=170HP

    mazda's 2.5L=170HP

    mitsubis2.5L =160HP

    HONDA'S 2.35L = 201 HP

Even Honda's lowest HP per Liter engine, still smokes all other engines in it's class almost.

  • @sausagenmuff

For me half of "fun" driving is straight line speed. The car is supposed to be sporty 6 speed yet it can't break out of the 15s.

  • @gibememoni

oh your one of those guys, well again then don't buy a honda, you won't like it, and never would have.

  • @sausagenmuff SI its sport version so why not compare sports versions of those cars too lol Mazdaspeed3 for instance... 2.3L = 263 hp

  • @XxAlexX27 no no no, that engine has a TURBO on it. comparing na engines against a turbo engine is useless. i can show you this car with 600HP if you want to put a turbo on it.

  • @sausagenmuff week slalom

  • @sausagenmuff well i meant it more out of factory... not even mugen RR can beat speed3. im just speaking more out of "in my defense" kinda deal lol im a mazda driver xD

  • @XxAlexX27 yes I understand what you mean, its a useless argument though, cause for a few grand I could buy an old muscle car and kick everyones ass. it's about efficiency. take hondas s2000 engine for example. 2.0L 250HP, it would beat a mazda 3 speed 2.3 liter even WITHOUGH a turbo.

  • @sausagenmuff Um...Nissan makes 200hp out of the 2.5. it's called the Sentra se-r. Honda beats it by 1hp, but has less torque.

  • @ambientflier first of, that's the Nissan V-spec, not many of those around, second the reason it has more torque is cause it's a 2.5L where as the Honda is 2.35 L . and it's got less compression and is less efficient than the Honda. again Honda wins hands down sorry.

  • Honda been going down hill for awhile now!! Yes I owned a 06 si and I loved it but even the 8th gen si is hard to tune!! The 8th and 9th gen si has super small engine bay no space alot off plastic just not the same as the 90 civics which were open and easy to work on! I have a 2007 s2000 that car has barely been changed since 1999 so I got old school Honda technology baby just the way you want it!!

  • ....wth Honda, y u gotta beat the civic si with an ugly stick.

  • So for $8,000 you get a much better ride, better feel, better look, it's not a car everybody and their sister drives so it doesn't fit into the crowd but rather stands out. I don't get how the 2012 Honda Civic Si is all that great. I really don't. I had a 97 Acura Integra GS-R and I think that car perfomed and looks better then this POS. What happened to Honda?? Where is the GS-R, Type R, NSX, S2000?? Why don't they keep a good thing when they gave it going on? Maybe I'm just imagining things.

  • @tomgunc yeah they were all good, but profit wise, not much bud, sure you can say I know blah blah who has them and etc, but im sure you can find a lot more people that have once had or do have a civic/accord then all of the above.

  • LMFAO all the way to the bank. O.K. I am ready to get a bunch of heat for this. So go ahead and send the pissed off comments. This car is suppose to be new and redone. Well, ok I get that. One thing is anywhere on earth one thing holds true. Numbers don't lie. The 2010 Hyundai Genesis 3.8 Track is so much fun to drive with it being a rear wheel drive and having Brembo brakes and Xenon headlights, leather, bluetooth, 19 rims. Yes, I said 19....The BMW M3 comes with 18's and 19's are optional.

  • @tomgunc A genesis 3.8 is 10k more and how does bluetooth, 19 inch rims, and xenon headlights make it more fun?

  • Well, yeah its not the fastest, but it is reliable and gets 31 mpg hwy. You have to think though, it has 200 natural HP and 175lb ft of torque. Gti is 200 turbo HP and has I think 190 torque or close to it. The Honda goes 0-60 in the same time. But it could be better...

  • That's bull, it's the 2011 SI, not 2012

  • Seriously Honda? 8th gens perform way better than this new scrap. Guess a possible build would be a Frankenstein k20/k24...

  • I'm a honda fan plus i have one, but honda sucks nowadays to be honest.. they are making slow ass cars, honda is not the same anymore sadly.

  • They ruined the rear end of the SI :(

  • @Mycoughlin Oh it's God Awful. Im keeping my RSX. Probably gonna buy the new Scion F-RS

  • @Mycoughlin Yeah. The ass end looks horrible.

  • should that 0-60 be 5.9 not 6.9?

  • @Jahcrooks Out of 200hp? No. 6.9.

  • @Seadgaranovic

it is very dissapointing that the new mustang v6 will smoke the si...what i dont understand is why even bother putting a 2.4 l in if the 2.0 is faster?

  • @metagalaxxy22 More Displacement Of Course, But that K24 is pretty slow....

  • @metagalaxxy22 trying to remedy lack of tq... they have improved on that but the rest of the faults from the 8th gen remain.

  • @metagalaxxy22 This new Si is faster.

  • @metagalaxxy22 the times are actually on par and this has much much more ft tq

  • you know honda needs to have support for the type r...or else yes hondas are not made to be quick anymore..i love hondas but they are pissing me off..they give the type r to all the other countries except us..

  • @metagalaxxy22 stupid U.S. regulations prevent a lot of nice cars from coming to america

  • the rednecks country is full of honda haters ! LOL

  • this car made me say "lol, wtf?"

  • you idiots need to understand this is bone stock from the factory..15s isnt so bad..this isnt a 100,000$+ car that has 500hp for you to be upset..and yes the fact that the headers aren't changeable is a disadvantage to tuners..so I would say the 8th gen is a more worthy purchase if you plan on beasting it

  • Is it just me or are the numbers the same as the previous gen Si? I'll stick to my 08' till it dies which will be a very long ass time from now.

  • 0-60 in 6.9 seconds, wtf. A 2000 Honda Prelude hits 6.6 from 0-60. They could have made it a bit faster.

  • Great! The 2012 Civic Si gets a 15.1 second quarter mile! It can finaly beat my 1998 Toyota Camry V6! Honda will never match the Camry's awesomeness.

  • The previous one looks better. I have a turbo RSX, it's black clean and on 19"chrome Motegi DPK rims

  • chevy and fords arent fast

  • @Seadgaranovic I've driven quite a few before, but why would I own a Civic if I didn't like the test drive or the price? Specifically, the new Si Coupe is pretty damn bad for over $22k. It's underpowered, slow, ugly, and is FWD. Even stock V6 Mustangs and Camaros will smoke stock Si Coupes now, both on the drag strip and on the track...for near-identical prices. (All starting between $22k and $23k).

The one and only thing Honda got right was reliability.

  • very practical sports car in todays market withoiut turbo or other forced induction system

  • @Marshmallowrex

Its not mainly about power its mainly on looks ..it looks like a damn 09 eclipse !

I won't ever drive one of these , I've never liked si's except the em. Thought they would change but Im sticking to dcs, hondas losing game buddy rocking Old school all day.

  • DISSAPOINTED ! whats the point of an si now? not that much of a difference when it comes to style and power...

they should just keep dx, lx, and ex trims ..

  • earth to people, honda doesn't build sports cars, it builds cars it can sell to lots of people. I see accords, and civics almost anywhere I look. I have a sedan, and even though it doesn't look great on the outside, it has a really nice ride, and you'll hear the v-tec when you floor it, and lots of cabin space...so are hondas made to be fast? no! are they made to be efficient and reliable? yes! if you want something fast that will break in 2 years buy a chevy or ford lol

  • @suprattkk as you said honda dosent build sports cars but alot of companies make plenty of proformance parts ex: turbo nitrous oxide kits... etc

  • Comment removed

  • @suprattkk

Except the new GM vehicles are have tested at being more reliable than most in their class since the introduction of the new Big 3 on 2009. Learn about cars n00b!

  • @LockeEternal Arguing about a ''POS CHEVY-FORD" on the internet is like winning the science award at a special school, at the end of the day you're still retarded.

  • @suprattkk what are you talking about??? the si is which is a SPORTS CAR, its got sport suspension and a engine that rev's high to 200hp which is more than most cars in it's class. very sporty compared to a cobalt or focus or g5. plus honda maes the s2000 which is a purpose built sports car! and don't forget about the crz (the new crx of legendary sports status). Sure honda has dropped the NSX and Integra. but there lineup is still as sporty if not more so than ford or dodge.

  • @sausagenmuff What? The SI isn't a sports car. A 370Z is a sports car. 2 seater rwd. This thing is just a sporty commuter car.

  • @suprattkk lol your whole argument is flawed. Most modern cars today are very reliable and even once shitty companies like Hyundai is starting to catch up or beat Honda in terms of quality and reliability. Don't believe me, go check out jdpower.

Second, Honda is being un clever these days with their cars. instead of building an engine specifically designed for this car, they just found whatever was in the toolshed and dropped a low end tq 2.4 k24 into it. How innovating :/.

  • @suprattkk So not only has this car become heavier, but the engine revs at 4300rpm lol...Since when did a SI become a low end torque car? That fucks up the whole dynamic of the si, and the numbers prove it. It isn't much better than the last gen si. Honda is a pos company now, meanwhile they refuse to build a V8 in their upper end cars. No wonder they can't compete with BMW, Audi, Lexus, Infiniti, and Benz..Acura has now been labeled as a 'smart luxury.'. In another words, not a top tier lux.

  • @Jamzkangster I agree. If Honda wanted a low end torque car, then why the POS K24, why not finally let the Si really grow up and maybe having something unique like a 3.0 liter 4cyl with iVTEC. That would be back to the progressive Honda we all grew up with, that did radical and extraordinary things. Or go ahead and bring out the ATVEC finally that allows the cam crossover to occur at anytime dependent upon throttle output.

  • @Jamzkangster U are a joke

  • @TheEuroperules no buddy you are.

  • Damn its going to be hard for all these 17-year-olds to control the 201hp that BEAST is packing. I truly feel sorry for the import crowd. While their cars seem to be getting slower and less appealing, our cars are getting better in quality, performance, style, and functionality. We were the country that invented the automobile and the assembly line, after all. To Europe and Asia: YOU'RE WELCOME.

  • That is a terrible car for $22,205....Honda is just relying on the name to sell the car..which is exactly what Toyota is doing too..and what American automakers were doing until 2008.

  • people also didn't like the 8th gen now people are scrambling to buy one. This is after a new gen has came out. This is always the case with honda fanboys. There is also the folks that think that the 90's models are the best. Please if tHonda kept that same styling, handling, power, and torque honda would be out of business. They had to put a bigger engine=heavier for more power. weight comes from gas tank, wheel, tires not much from the body. it weighs 150 more than em1.

  • If those numbers are right it is slower than my 8th gen with less torque! It doesn't sound as nice in this video as an 8th gen either.

  • hey fkin dumbasses if its such an ugly car y tha fk dis u take your sweetass time to type in 2012 HONDA CIVIC u must like the car somehow. Let me make this saying easy for you retards "If.....u....dont...like....something....dont...look...it...up"

  • this car is just horrible and it is such an ugly car i saw it in person in the fdr....honda really ruined it for every honda lover out here...well the previous gen is better looking

  • aww its so adorable

  • lol wat the hell how is that better then last gen ya its got the k24 but it is heaver then the gen befor so its still just about the same lol ill just stay wit my 09 civic si

  • Why is everyone hating on the new Civic Si? This new model looks better both in and out, is faster, handles better, has a more useable engine, a more refined ride, better fuel economy. Even the lower redline is a stupid complaint seeing as we don't get the 9000 rpm Civic Type R here in the states.

  • @marshknute hey dumass it has welded on headers that means you cant change them.....sucks asssssss honda is going down the drain

  • @marshknute Lol. It's neither faster, nor does it handle better.

  • @ambientflier You're right, except for the part where the 2012 is 0.1 seconds faster to 60 and pulls 0.01 g more than the last generation. It isn't much, but it is faster/nimbler. I don't understand why anyone would buy a Civic SI from any generation. For the same price, you could have a Mazda MX-5 which is an infinitely better driver's car. Any true gearhead would rather have a RWD sports car over a FWD coupe.

  • damn its still slow was hoping something more interesting wasted 1 minute of my life

  • i dont understand how this car is comparable to 8gen when front sway bar is only 18mm

  • OK armchair jockies and automotive CEO's, what car that competes with this Honda and offers all of the standard features and similar performance for 22k? I'd like to know? VW GTI? $25k base. WRX? 26k base. Mazdaspeed3 is the only competition but its essentially a wagon...and is 24k base. Now when you factor in things like economy, quality and value (resale value especially) Honda wins hands down. I can sell my 08 Si for 16k easy if not more and I paid 20k for mine!!! Eat that Hyundai!

  • @chase21322 2k more for a superior mazdaspeed3 come on. If you finance 22k the extra 2k is nothing. Only way I drive a civic is if its given to me. The new si is garbage. Those who buy this are fan-boys and sheep not real enthusiasts. Finally, those who tout Honda reliability .... do you realize ALL new cars come with warranty up to at least 40k and power-train to 60k. Yes you will be provided with a loaner. At 60k most people are moving on. SI is now a chick car.

  • @onebadgs400 You'll also see Honda dealers gouging buyers because of low inventory. You can buy a Mazdaspeed 3 (base) for less than the Civic Si.

  • Don't get me wrong, I love Hondas I just expected a completely new civic with a new engine... The k24 they put in it doesn't really impress me. I prefer the k20z3 from the last si... But that's just my opinion... I liked it better when it revved to 8000 rpm

  • Don't get me wrong. Mm

  • When will people realize that if Honda cared about what others think performance wise, they would have done something years ago.

  • 15.1 ? he can't drive..

  • @OgTan24 Or maybe it's just another slow honda...

  • they made it worse....

  • lower performing than the old car in every metric what a massive dissapointment.

  • 5pts for the Train horn :)

  • Slalum wasn't bad. Seriously though? 15sec quarter mile??? I know Honda is capable of low to mid 14's with todays technology on a 4 banger. While keeping reliability and gas efficiency. Even the V8 Mustang almost gets 30mpg highway as the new Civic Si.

Faster car with same gas efficiency. Not much room in either. Around the same price MSRP.

Damn even the V6 Mustang smokes the Civic.

Back in the days the ITR, SI, GSR would smack those V6's.

Honda... please step up your game.

  • @Cripton805 meh you never know, it could be the driver, i don;t know. Also in my opinion the motors were better back in the day and also civics and such didn't have an average weight of almost 3000 pounds. and are you talking about the new v6 mustang cause yeah its gonna beat the civic.

  • @Cripton805 new civic get 39mpg

  • @karsseboomh22 No... they don't. Not the Si. Which is what I'm looking at in this video.

  • @Cripton805 do you understand with simple bolt-ons an flashpro that same civic will be hitting 13s. Just bolt-ons

  • @karsseboomh22 right.... Maybe you can get 20-30whp MAX with bolt ons and that tune, but those "simple" bolt ons, tuning, and misc parts would run you a pretty hefty price. A quality K series header alone will cost you between $500-1k. I can see it with a weight reduction, but with a REALLY good driver.

  • @Cripton805 You can't bolt a header to this car as the header is molded to the block. Check Temple of V-tec review. This car is maxed out and the only other option is sc or turbo.

  • @onebadgs400 How could the header be molded to the block? Ill have to see that.

  • @karsseboomh22 This is Not the 8th gen tuning is nearly impossible or will be VERY expensive

  • @karsseboomh22 You must be a delusional honda fanboy to think this turd will do 13's with bolt ons and tune.

  • @ambientflier bro you have no clue what the k20 rave is about? why do you think k20 engine sell for so much money and people are eating them up alive? hell i dont even own this car but i hang out and the drags strip all day and see them hitting 13s like nothing with bolt-ons and flashpro. i live right next to the track fyi

  • @karsseboomh22 This isn't a K20. Lol. Who cares about a fwd honda hitting 13's, anyway??? If you want a fast car get a 370Z, at least it doesn't sound like crap when you put exhaust and headers on it, unlike a buzzing honda.

  • @ambientflier yeah your right its a k24 which is even better..lol the theroy is for all kseries motors not just the k20. there rwd hondas too s2000, nsx

  • Whats everybody bitchin about this is an overall better car than the previous Si. more power and better fuel economy, and better high speed stability (more rigid chassis), if previous Civics average a life span of 15 years, this one should last another 10. And I personally think its an improvement on looks. Yes its not so much different, well its hard to improve on an all ready excellent packaged that is the 8th gen.

  • i rather keep my 8th gen SI. i don't want no 7k rev limit 4 cyl engine.

  • WOW! that bad boy is quick, The tuner guys are gonna have fun with this SI, 0to60 6.6 to 6.9. with 201hp, not bad. honda to me is making a come back you will see.

  • Return of American Cars forget Japan...

  • Honda is now dead to me:(((

  • This is an excellent definition of what epic fail is

  • 6.9 sec !? Are you F@#in serious?, this video makes me wanna shoot myself

  • 15.1...that's it?? I would have thought the displacement increase to 2.4 would have done more for the Civic. It should be hitting 14s. Must be a heavy pig. Oh well, maybe there's hope with bolt-ons.

  • Ahahah fail, 6.9...Honda you have fallen asleep. This is your wake up call. Bring back the NSX. Bring back the S2000, stop making your cars so damn big and heavy. Stop drooling over hybrids and start utilizing forced induction. You used to be the king of efficiency. Now you're just an also ran....take a lesson from the Americans, wake up before its tool late.

  • @bigyankee86 lol

  • so i guess they need to make the 10th gen sooner than planned... like next summer...

  • people shoudnt compare this to a z, s2k, or any other sports car mainly because this isnt a sports car. im not shitting on anyone but the si was never meant to be a sports car it was made as a daily driver with potential to increase the specs as wanted, if one so wishes they could add more parts to this in order for it to achieve the desired performance specs. but like i said this is a sporty car not a sports car.

  • why are people comparing to 370z's and s2k's? They arent even in the same price point and serve completely different purposes. The si is a practical and functional car first, with a performance oriented lean. Its perfect for the city, gets great gas mileage, is extremely reliable, soaks up pot holes without problems, and is still fun as hell to corner hard and downshift to accelerate from a roll. I live in chicago and the potholes and winters would destroy 370's and s2ks. 8th gen si is my daily.

  • Now that they are not making the s2000 I think they should have used that motor but hell I don't work for honda so I guess it doesn't matter.

  • 67 mph slalom? In a Civic?...that's gettin' it.

  • @Chris17psi

    The '10 MS3 pulled 71MPH IIRC.

This isn't that great in comparison, at all actually.
