  • Right, they are both same wings of the Big Government Bird. Wrong that Paul is the answer. If Paul were allowed to dissolve regulatory agencies, you would be dead before the next election came around.

  • He is lying. They have no intention of giving any of these people due process. He is smooth speeking. I voted for him...slap me.

  • this video is trash!!splice together pieces of a speech taking out of context.only a fool would base their logic off such propaganda.nonsense.

  • @DSANDS817 She is trying to GET IT RIGHT. Do your research

  • THOUGHTCRIME!!! IT'S 1984!!!!

  • This old ass video being used to comound the #NDAA red herring bull. POTUS was by no means talking about US citizens. Hey has any one ever heard of POW's, if our guys are captured in a foriegn land guess what POW. Yeah I guess the gone just let em go if they promise to be good. OMG terrorist dont have a country. Where ever they are found if we catch em in an attempt to kill us how long should they be held? Damn if he caught em and let em go and the run back and kill your kids its your fault.

  • Ugggghhh! Such a scumbag! How can anyone defend this traitor!?!?!? RON PAUL!!!!!

  • Meanwhile Hillary is arming "Al Qaeda".... Riiiiiiight.

  • I generally abhor everything that Rachel Maddow spews, but I am glad to see that even a die-hard Liberal like Maddow can recognize that Republicans are not the only threat to civil liberties in America.

  • Just one more reason to vote for Ron Paul.

  • Is there an echo in there? She's hyping this up way too much, just STFU and stop treating your audience like school children.

  • He is an evil puppet

  • Rachael Quit The Double-Talk, These People Are ALREADY Convicted Of A Crime And ALREADY In Prison, So Don't Act Like They Are Innocent People ! The President Says, The Goal Is To "Hold Individuals To Keep Them From Carrying Out An Act Of War" ! But You're Opposed To That, Let 'Em Out, Let "Em Commit The Act Of War, Let Them Kill Thousands Of People, Then Reincarcerate Them. People Need To STOP Thinking You Can Afford Terrorist Freedoms That ARE Afforded To American Citizens ! They Are NOT !!!

  • @drrock105 You do not know what a "terrorist" is. Aside from that, the rights guaranteed in the Constitution are not limited to U.S. citizens. If you had ever read the Constitution, you would know that. Also, capitalizing every single word in your sentences looks fucking retarded.

  • @drrock105 Barrack mentioned people in training camps that need detainment. There are more then one group of people talked about in this speech. Sorry you can't keep track of more than one subject within a dialog.

  • Look people, this is it, this is our freedom on the line. Like him or not, it's time to vote for the only candidate that is speaking out about this...Ron Paul. You may not agree with him on everything, but at this moment in histroy, you have to ask yourself what is more important? For me, it's easy. I will vote for the person that will uphold the constitution, and that is Ron Paul. This bill passed, just a few weeks ago, and it's hardely being reported. WAKE UP!!!!!

  • Rachel is absolutely underrated. Brilliant, insightful comments, and profound understanding of happens today. I find the irony in fact, that not many people protested against this act. not even close to those against SOPA.

  • Ugh.

  • Somehow this partisan bitch doesn't care - after all her bronze god speaketh poetry.

Worse yet, this silly cunt will promote the next power crazed commie in sheeps clothing, and talk endlessly about the beautiful words flowing from the worshipped piehole. I suspect she got a promotion, for promoting Obama for 2 years until he usurped power, and therefore giving the news station the chance to report on things like this. "Wow Rachel, without people like you we'd have a lot less controversy."

  • Thanks to his new bill, we are all guilty - and all eligible for pre-crime.

  • Well f*ck it all then. Between this and the recent passage of the "Repeal all of the Bill of Rights Act" ... I guess I'll see you folks in the camps.

  • Rachel Maddow is one of the only sane people on television today. Some of the others include Olbermann, Stewart, Colbert, and C.K. Louis. News is a joke about itself it seems.

  • @InfoPoet her tone is alerting, to say the least. the other you mentioned are just doing this for fun. enjoying themselves while ship sunks. well, sinking not for them, that's for sure.

  • @InfoPoet I like Cenk Uyger too. Most however are not as opposed to these idiotic wars as they should be.

  • HE NEEDS TO BE IMPEACHED ALREADY!! ARE YOU SERIOUS?? THAT IS TOTALLY AGAINST THE CONSTITUTION!! IM VOTING RON PAUL!!

  • Ron Paul anyone?

  • @JaxxBat I never thought i'd vote for a republican. Then again, i never thought one would make so much sense

  • @soulweaponry , Ron Paul would run Independent but he believes the 2 party system is designed to keep 3rd party out..

  • This is how it always starts. Fascism.

  • @ahhhhjjjj bearing the cross and wrapped in the flag, eh?

  • Unless Congress and the President are stopped (regarding NDAA -- 2011), this country is absolutely doomed.

  • Go figure, a liberal wants to expand government powers. o_O

  • Makes ya wonder just what the situation will be, come general election time. Definitely need Ron Paul on the ballot!

  • What chance is there he will veto this bill now that it has passed Congress in Dec 2011?

  • It's nauseating to see one of the TV talking heads who sold us The Obama as being so much better than Bush, now telling us he's probably worse. Here's a news flash for all the partisan media hacks. The cure for our country will never be found by changing from R to D to R to D to.... The Two Parties That Are One are just different wings of the same Big Government Bird.

Turn off your TV. Vote Ron Paul 2012 and start to fix this mess.

  • @Liberty4Ever Agreed, but honestly I think McCain would have been just as bad, if not worse. We need to stop accepting substandard candidates. And Obama sure talked a good game, so people who were swayed by his words before may now, perhaps, be a little wiser in regards to looking past pretty speeches. One can hope.

  • @KashtaAoC I agree that McCain would have probably been worse. The evidence? Watch the video of my senator, Rand Paul, asking McCain about the unconstitutional provisions for detaining citizens without due process, and McCain blowing a bunch of smoke about how our federal government needs these unconstitutional powers to fight terrorism. What a globalist totalitarian piece of trash. Arizona needs to vote him out, just as we need to vote out our other senator, Mitch McConnell.

  • @Liberty4Ever I was with you until the Ron Paul part. Although I do like some of his policies, his stance on church and state (he thinks there should be no separation) and his lack of belief in evolution and climate change disqualify him from my book of good leadership. What the US needs is a multiple party system, something like most democracies have. Canada usually has two main parties, but now for the first time in its history a third party has taken the seat of the opposition.

  • @KINGofGUNS I think you're confused about some of the stuff that Ron Paul believes. He generally won't make pandering comments about what are essentially emotional issues, or real issues that have been politicized, such as religion, global warming, evolution, etc.

The best part is, it doesn't matter what Ron Paul's personal beliefs are. He will never use the force of government to force them on you, nor will he try to exploit people's strongly emotional beliefs for political gain.

  • @Liberty4Ever thanks for this.. i didnt want to have to go on a rant

  • @KINGofGUNS upvoted. i lost faith in wisdom of this man after i found out about creationism. some minds, if susceptible for fairytales can fall for any other good lie.

  • @mleczko79 Actually, I looked into his views on creationism because I also had misgivings about someone who embraced a fairy tale. But he seems to be more of an 'uneducated' bent than a 'willfully ignorant' one. Considering how well he's educated himself on economics, foreign policy, history, civil liberties, and the Constitution, I'm willing to give him a bye on the religious stuff (even though I'm not religious...meh, even our current pres. went to church).

  • @mleczko79 He's also made it clear he's not a 'young earth' creationist, and I think he lumps questions of evolution together with the big bang theory. Check out the reddit interview of him (that I can't link here). It goes more in-depth into his beliefs and how they would (not) influence his politics as a president. I personally won't hold someone's belief against them (as long as they don't impose them on me), just like I hope they won't hold my lack of belief against me.

  • @Liberty4Ever woah, what, people seeing NBC as politically bias? Are people really waking up like this? Maybe there is hope...

  • @Liberty4Ever Ron Paul won't fix this mess if he won't acknowledge that in an unregulated world, the most corrupt people willing to crush others for their own gain rise to the top. Though our government is corrupt, it is the glut of money from unregulated corporations that corrupts them.

Let's vote Rocky Anderson of the Justice Party instead. Get the money out of politics, hold the government and Wall Street accountable for their crimes, and lets leave these damnable wars, as well!

  • @Spammehspam Yes. Rocky Anderson 2012.

  • Obama isn't insane - He's just the unfortunate one in position, when the Puppet Master pulled the strings...

  • he's saying the same crap as Bush because he's a puppet for the same people

  • @leifihrck You are absolutely correct.Obama is Bush's 3rd term.Obviously.

  • I don't dig any of it, uncluding her annoying way of taking pieces of the speech out of context. Where was this kind of scathing ridicule when Bush was spewing his WMD garbage? Too little, too late, darling

  • "Who's the more foolish? The fool, or the fool who follows him?" -Obi Wan Kenobi

  • "So this is how liberty dies...with thunderous applause." -Queen Amidala

  • He`s worse than George Bush

  • "rule of law" does not mean what people assume it means. I see no conflict.

  • Twists what he says? He says we need to preventative incarcerate people in a new legal system and he calls it "prolonged detention." He does not state how long "prolonged" might be, but he does say--in the same speech--that the threat these future criminals pose could last 10 years. It is not a stretch nor a "twist on the trust" to connect these two points.

  • This is why I don't listen to talk show hosts anymore, right or left. Did anyone notice how she repeatedly twisted what he said?

The most obvious twist on the truth that I heard was around 6m43s. Listen to what Obama says about terrorists plotting against us, and will be, 5 years from now, 10 years from now. Then she cuts in and implies he's talking about incarcerating people for up to ten years without a trial. Maddow completely changed what Obama said. 6m43s.

  • @mentaldimensions she said exact same thing. read between the lines.

  • welcome to fascism!!

  • Did the NAZIS win WW 2 or what?

  • welcome to Orwell "speak". That giant sucking sound Ross Perot sounded off about is finishing up with the gurgling of the toilet tank flap closing. You guys who were laughing at all the conspiracy "nuts". Hows your kool aid tasting now ? The phantom menace strikes again...

  • What about "pre-crime" of the government against We The People?

Since all government power is had by DELEGATION, then it follows that if the government has the power to act against Citizens, based on their assessment of what they determine a Citizen will likely do in the future, then that power MUST also reside in We The People, otherwise, the government cannot say from where that power devolves.

If the government can act against WTP for "pre-crime" then so can WTP against the government.

  • So, how's the Freedom Fries tasting?

  • @MrLefsemannen soon they will be called Crunchy Prison Mini Bars

  • He now has a implant that gives him instructions....

  • Obama criticizing Bush II? If World Federation Wrestling were this fake, no one would watch! Look, the ruling class are afraid of being bypassed subsequent to the coming economic implosion. The crisis of confidence in the Nanny State will be unprecedented. Boogeymen and external threats are the distraction.

  • Stop crying "Liberal!" This is Bush-era fascism all the way.

  • America your seeing your country change to military facism over night see S1867 time to wake up AMerica or you better start arming yourselfs. There doing it see bill S1867. there ripping up the constitution and hoping you dont see it

  • Where are all the lone gun men when you REALLY need them?

  • @2skullscrushing

When they accurately predicted the "Remote Control Jetliner Attack" on the WTC Towers, Fox had to cancel the show. Then the killed odd the Lone Gunmen in the next season of "X-Files" - at least they died as heroes.

  • @saintrupert Well I know about the show, I was talking REAL lone gun man. :)

  • This is very fine journalism on the part of Rchel Mddow (two thumbs up!!). However, I still don't like her because she comes across as an in-your-face diehard butch lesbian bull-dyke. I don't like masculine women, and she is masculine.

  • You know shit is wrong when the liberals are complaining about the expansion of executive powers.

  • REMINDER: This video was posted in 2009. It's only now, 2.5 years later, that the bill has finally been passed. It's high time that the American people stopped thinking of themselves as being left or right. What's needed is solidarity because your true enemies are those running the country, the 1% and their puppets!

  • @BeautifulBirman You are right. America is controlled by a one party dictatorship of bought out political whores who're divided into 2 factions that both serve the same corporate elite banksters who are starting all the wars to take over each country (with debt) and reposition it for the NWO police state. It's like a giant sinister game of Monopoly for these crooks and duped soldiers are their pawns. The rest of us are kept dumbed down by their paid whores in hollywood/news/schools, etc

  • MAD Cow!! You may be finding the truth! R U readie for this?

  • The son of Malcolm X is serving the Illuminati extremely well.

  • The puppet is leading us to WW3, Zionist take over of our government.

  • When a piece of liberal scum like Rachel Maddow comes out this hard against Obama... and the Republican created SKUNK currently in the Senate... then you know it's soooooooooo bad. Sounds like Obama and the Senate are "terrorist traitors" to the American people!!! Thanks to Rachel for not turning a blind eye this time.

  • Why do people continue to believe that there is any difference between the two Parties?

  • @menge1928 Exactly! I wonder the same thing, but I guess the flouride and Hollywood has done it's job extremely well in keeping the sheeple stupid, docile and distracted. The left/right paradigm is owned/controlled by the banksters. Even the opposition(Ron Paul, etc.) is owned by them. If he ever gets out of line they will whack him, JFK style. He's just another Ross Perot to divert people from finding the whole Truth and keep them stuck in a false voting system that allows parasites to rule

  • @Slingblade347 Yep, politicians like RP are sedating people with false hope, and buying the time for puppet masters. in my country we have a saying: if democracy could change anything, it would be forbidden long time ago.

  • Look Obama, you're well into your time as president, stop blaming Bush for you're problems already. The more time goes by the more you look like Bush anyway. You're supposed to be a democrat, you know the party that's supposed to be against this kind of shit.

    DOUBLETHINK MUCH?

  • I no longer think of Rachel as a leftwing drone who's incapable of seeing evil when it's from her side.

Congratulations! We must all band together, for now ,IT IS ALL OF US AGAINST WASHINGTON...

  • let's not forget Obama using Arms to remove Libya's government...both Sadaam and Kadaffy were dictators...the idea of removing foreign leaders we don't like is dangerous wether Bush does it or Obama, it just set's a dangerous president...Libya did not have any WMD either...but they did have thousands of Misiles which Obama should have known would dissappear, just as they did, and which likely are in the hands of Alqueda...that's a tue boboo, very bad move

  • @mrbrucewayne631 just wait for what will happen now, when in all those countries there's no alpha male who's keeping the pack on the leash. the real mess is yet about to happen.

  • Why do people keep thinking it's the man speaking that is making the rules? It's the machine behind him.The next president will take it even further. They are just puppets, remember? BO doesn't even write his speeches and reads from a teleprompter. We are crazy to think the hard work of the machine that is closing in on us will be undone by a 'new' president. Gadhafi reminded us: politicians lie to get in office, they always say what the people want 2 hear. Go against this machine and...(JFK)

  • @ortegablue did you know that Gaddafi got announced one of the first candidates to this year's Nobel Peace Prize?

  • @mleczko79 Thanks for that info...I know Gaddafi was to get some kind of humanitarian award but I don't know the exact details. Are you sure it was the Nobel Peace Prize? Do you know a way to confirm that? BTW, have you seen Secretary Clinton's recent message to the Libyan people? Notice some things about her, her eyes and words...a bit eerie...

  • @ortegablue Yeah, it's official, all over the internet really. Could you be so kind and hook me up with link to Hilarry's speech? PM me mate, i am interested to see it.

  • Obama is genetically related to Bush and Cheney. He is fulfilling the plans made by Prescott Bush, George Bush's grandfather who supported Hitler, to overturn the legitimate US Government and eugenically cleanse (his intention) United States by putting the "inferior" or "unruly" Americans in detention camps.

  • H.R. 645

  • So...I take it that Rachel will register as a Republican to vote for Ron Paul in the primary? Oh wait, she'll just shrug her shoulders and vote for Obama, if at all.

  • WOW!! Maddow jumped off her I love Odumo soap box and woke up...

  • The sooner the tyrants get their bullet to the brain, the sooner we can get back to enjoying a prosperous and healthy nation. Where are all the "DIRTY HaRRY" cops?

  • Rachel Maddow supported this idiot.

  • @junktex better realize your own mistake late than never, i guess. many people got seducted by Obama, let's not forget that either.

  • IMPEACH SOETORO !!!!

  • obama u make me puke you spineless puppet scumbag!!

    Thank god i don't own a passport.

  • this is a shit planet and I bet the whole universe is like this with evil dumb population letting murderous shits rule you throughout the universe I bet!!!!!!!!!

  • Bush couldn't be any more overjoyed of Obama's progress so far. If Bush had a 3rd term, this is exactly where we would be.

    Titanic is at full steam.

  • Bolsheviks on the move.

  • USA is the nation cowardly lions

  • Obama is George W Bush in a new skin

  • arrest obama for the pre-crime of violating the US constitution

  • @mispistoleros And detain him indefinitely.

  • @DABIGRAGU1, obama is vain and venal, not at all the deep-thinker the gravitas in his speaking voice would suggest. let him plea bargain but force him to name names. then, hand him over to an int'l tribunal (perhaps spain should resume its int'l tribunal) for war crimes in afghanistan, yemen, pakistan and libya

  • @mispistoleros did they institute pre-crime executions yet?

  • @mispistoleros Except that it's not a pre crime. He's done did it, along with fraud, forgery, and several dozen acts of treason.

  • @mikeadksn, fair enough; i stand corrected. how about pre-crime for pretending he didn't do anything wrong? oh, wait, he's already done that, too, right?

  • @mispistoleros All of the politicians who recently made thus huge mistake of voting in favor of the NDAA act should also be arrested, without any possibility of bail or parole too.

  • @ocf1fan1 * I mean "the" not "thus"

  • .....it was Sarah "Dumbs**t" Palin and John "bomb bomb Iran" McCain, or this slimy snake. America had no real choice. Look how far from the pro-constitution rhetoric this inveterate LIAR wooed us with on his campaign to this Fascist wet dream he proposes now....indefinite detention for crimes that were never proven and allegations that won't hold up in any court of law.

I am ashamed of America that language like this from any so-called "leader" doesn't result in immediate condemnation.

  • So this dumb bitch is finally waking up! Bet she's still an Obot!

  • I love the fearmongering parts, "Right now, in distant training camps and in crowded cities, there are people plotting to take American lives," and this will always be the case because American foreign policy is not one iota different from our forefathers' policies toward the Native Americans during the 18th and 19th centuries.. We are treacherous, fork-tongued devils so others will naturally hate us and have to be detained on new and improved, legally contrived reservations indefinitely.

  • Collapse is here...

    Total Collapse . com

  • who is this man?

  • This is fascist.

  • 2)We also know the Black Government (The Secret Gov't Litterally Underground Enacted After 911) has Internment Camps with gassers & furnaces ready to kill Americans

  • 1) I'm just currious, but what if he put these together to get us to realize he was suggesting that law for THE Murrders, Molesters, and Rapists, Bush (Both), Cheney, Kissinger. We know they are Satsanninsts, just google michael aquino NSA!

  • Obama is starting to sound more and more like a well spoken George Bush.

  • Did someone mention Hussein Obammy's tools, (Useful Idiots), who ignore his actions and slobber over his words? No Lobbyists...........Bing bing bing. LIE No earmarks.. LIE Not to sign bills without first giving the public five days of notice.... LIE Public Financing..... LIE Gitmo pictures.. LIE Ending TribunalsLIES End Borrowing, spending too much, deficit orgy spending lie End Bitter Partisanship.. LIE Open Administration... Lie End Queers Don't ask policy . Lie
  • @KillerInstinct2006 Bush never claimed the right to do this.

  • @KillerInstinct2006 far from well spoken

  • @KillerInstinct2006 He's not well spoken. He's a self loving organ grinder's monkey with a pea brain.
