This is worth the cost of $2500 Bobby3OOO, I think the $2500 can do a much better job than that. Think of the slums where there is no controlled infrastructure, the floods or catasptrophies that we recently saw in haiti...Sorry I don't buy this..that cost is far too high and the product not convincing enough...just saying...
Unbelievable! Despite negative response and critique - which is to be expected, the invention is one that conjures images of the time-tested hut-like dwellings of native and nomadic cultures throughout human history. The notable difference is the far advanced durability of the unit, and the speed with which it may be assembled. Bobby3000 is exactly correct in that a larger picture should be kept in mind. This structure is obviously adaptable to many conditions. Perfect for disaster situation.
I think you guys are missing the point. These things can be dropped off in areas of extreme poverty or the wake of a natural disaster to provide *rapid* results for displaced people. At $2500 for a unit, this is a genius solution.
A better demo of the house would not have the door being loose when hit and have the house bolted down as to keep the building from moving. Just having a guy hit it like these two ways shown make me feel like this thing will just blow away with a good breeze.

agree with reddwarf2956.... The way it is presented, I think a big tent serves the same purpose and is easier to transport and convenient to erect.
