Hey im 14 going into high-school next year and i have been practicing hockey for a month or 2 now and i can stick handle and shoot pretty well almost as well as my friend who plays for the school team. I was wondering if i should try out for it next year or if it is to hard to get into at an older age. Thanks.
can you guys start posting videos more for defensemen?Your videos have really tought me a few things as i am transfering from inline to ice hockey because my league basicly got rid of my team my only problem is the closest rink to me is 30 min away,i live in TN but of course there are 30 baseball and football fields within 5 miles lol.
Can u make videos on tips on hockey knowledge . You know like when to pass and all that stuff and how to puck handle fast i want to be scouted by the scouters plzzz and i want to show them im good
Do you think you can post a more advanced deke each week aswell, Because I'm well past these Ones,I mean, these work very well, but i'm also looking for something that the defenders won't expect.
@sr016ify I guess your not doing it right ;) If he's coming at you and you wait to long he will destroy you, that's why you have to start the move about 10 feet before, fake like you are going one way so he moves that way to try to hit you, then you go the other way. Yeah it's a simple deke but the I use the simple moves a few times a game, I only pull out the sick dekes once in a while.
@howtohockeydotcom thats what i find! i play roller (in britain ;) ) and i find that the d always try to hard, so thye expect the hard skilly dekes, and theres alot moer chance of messing up the more advanced dekes. and the ice hockey team i see (ever heard of cardiff devils?? craig weller played for us this season :D) has a player called max birbraer, and he always tries the silky stuff, but 75 percent of the time he fails it :/ anyway your vids are always AWESOME and help me alot :')
@sr016ify However he did say at the beginning of the deke of week installments that he was going to build up step-by-step from basic to advanced. The point is, I think you're unjustifiably trying to put this guy down when he has obviously put in a long of work to create a resource that is helpful to the community. That's not cool. But anyway, you're entitled to your opinion.
@MrJiraishin No, believe me, I'm not trying to put him down. I like this guy, I have watched a lot of his videos, I'm even subscribed to him. I don't like ALL his videos. I didn't think this video was good for me or anyone else.
I've tried his moves that I saw on his deke of the week vids and they don't really work.
i know it's more advanced and you might get to it later, but will you do the spin-o-rama. cause it would be used in this same type situation and would be nice to know. thanks for the deke videos, great job.
@howtohockeydotcom yea, great quality stick for 100 bucks. i got 2 one55 sticks from sportcheck for 89 bucks, and they are awesome.. i have an s19 though but i dont use it much

@Gilakend Try out if anything you don't make it and you get some good advice on what part of your game you need to work on

That's stupid. U guys don't know any good moves. U think we haven't done that? The defender has his stick out or goes for ur body.
