@spysers check out smarterchild and things similar, there are plenty and this tech isnt anything new, all this is doing is including voice recognition and audio responses using text-to-speech, then slapping a bland looking robot model onto the software where you can wonder around with the quite terrible looking visuals.
i thought it was going to be online :( i don't readed all the website, beacuse the time is it but well, i think this is only to be a real time "conversimulation" .
I think this is awesome. It isn't often you find something that so accurately recreates the frustration and confusion that surrounds getting your luggage back at an airport. ;)
Seriously, though, I really think this is a great step for games and I'm glad to see people making strides towards a future where we can converse with games in a more intelligent manner.
could I talk a bot into killing itself? how many months would it take? how many Smurfberries is the life of each bot worth? is that what you're suggesting? i'm asking questions )))
idk, but windows 7 seems better than this... im fairly sure dragon naturally speaking is the industry speaking in this but im not sure if its any better since i cant afford it and TPB version came up as infected...
Unfortunatly, this demo did not truly prove how much these robots can understand. If he would have said things that were not so standard, like "What did you have for dinner?" or "What is the radius of a sphere, that has a diameter of 5 meters?"
I have been really interested in this game for a while now. I notice that your intonation has to be pretty flat, probably so that the voice recognition can parse each word properly. When you speak, you don't phrase questions with rising intonation -- which distracts from the "immersive" effect that this game should have. I'm curious to see how this works with incorrect syntax. If I was to say "briefcase grab" would it grab the briefcase? Nevertheless, it looks very interesting!
Interesting, I wonder how this technology works in a near future

Skimpy graphics but really that doesnt matter if you have an engine as intuitive as this. Looking forward to it.

@ProperSauce The graphics might be skimpy but in time like most games, updates will enhance the graphics soon making it look much better
