  • this is the easy part. the hard part is the transmission. i hope this bike didnt cop out with a torque a verter like so many "briggs motorcycles" do. I hope this one gets a real clutch and a british transmission to make it right.

  • @bulletman100 .Thanks for your interest. At present engine is now fitted with an auto clutch off a Honda engined wood-chipper ( see video part 3 &4) and is single speed, via a jack-shaft to rear wheel. I have BSA box i am going to extend the shaft on to get a wider spacing between a standard clutch and the gearbox cog (to get rear wheel alignment).

    Regards

  • How many horsepower did it have? and did you have to move the oil pickup tube or mod the engine majorly?

  • THIS guy is on the right track. let me know when / how you get the transmission / clutch interface worked out. nice bike.

  • is that engine being lubricated with it on its side like that?

  • Yes, checked oil pick up pipe, have good oil flow up to rockers, all good!

  • sweet!!!

  • @mickeyblue256 I have always wondered if a v-twin brigs could be rotated! did you build a new intake to reuse the stock carb?

  • @BikerTrashWolf Hi, thanks for query...yes standard carb on a homemade 90degree inlet stub. This has not caused any problems. Runs fine,tick-over fine. A bloody crackin engine...cheers

  • Is that an Intek on its side? Mounting looks like a vertical shaft.

  • Yes, is a vertical shaft, now being used horizontal!! Engine and card turned through 90 degrees!
