River Rafting over Husum Falls Washington State

I have run this falls in a kayak. It's very exciting, but not particularly dangerous. I never went for big drops, danger, adrenaline, etc, but Husum Falls is pretty easy & the consequences of tipping over are not that serious. It's easy to set up throw ropes & rescue in the section below the falls. The bridge is perfectly located for taking pictures & video. (Nicole, anyplace sucks if you allow yourself to think it sucks.)

The Salmon River's Columbia Gaurge in Washington State. Husum Falls. Beautiful place.

Find Hood River OR on the map. Look about 15 miles north of Hood River and you'll see a small town called Husum WA, which is where the falls are. Another 5 miles north of Husum is BZ Corners, where the trips start. Go with a guide service or people who know the river. This is a narrow, fast, cold river. Not something you just jump into with an inner tube and a six pack.
