I hear that all of the deleted scenes are on the DVD (as 'extras' - not put back into the original movie).
Some of the earlier showings e.g. vhs & tv versions did keep the scene(s) in.

No, the DVD doesn't contain all the deleted scenes, and I remember having downloaded a longer scene of that one in the store.

you know, when I was little and Data's dad said he was his best (or favorite, not sure) invention, I swore up and down that Data was an android. finally someone told me he was being metaphorical, not literal.
