  • shame...this legendary piece ruined in this interpretation,,

  • MisZing you are one of the first inteligent person that I read!!!! Bravo!!!!

    Arte es el pensamiento libre

  • This piece might not be flamencomusic, and the dancer is not dancinf a real palo, but I still think you're making a great piece of art here. I liked it anyway. You know, the thing with art is, you don't allways have to stick to the rules, and people are able to like it or not that's probably why it's art. I think this is a pretty good combination of different art forms. Wel done!

  • Really good. I love this piece...

    Flamenco! :-)

  • "Asturias is a celtic region of spain where flamenco is not danced...flamenco dancing with that song is an abomination"

What a lack of culture, my fellow. As RMass01 said, despite the name, Albeñiz based this song mainly on the spanish culture, althoug in fact is not a flamenco, it suits very good. So the abomination here, is not having culture in the music you listen, and not apreciating a good song.

  • man,,,i love this song and the performance its great.... congratulations !! from tijuana mexico

  • agree with auradar, nice video but this is not a piece of flemenco music, is the dancer actually dancing a real flamenco dance anyhow, and I think Albeniz was a catalan??? still enjoyed it though.....

  • Good points, but see the Wikipedia article on Albeniz. The suite of music including Asturias/Leyenda is deeply rooted in Flamenco influence more than any other. I think it is appropriate to add the dancer even though the precise form of the music is not directly a Flamenco dance - all of its musical roots can be traced directly to her same art form. Plus she really adds something !

  • great

  • when I see this vid, I feel so good.

ty ty ty SUBERB AWESOME EXCELENT ty ty ty

  • Thank you for playing Asturias as an accompaniment to a Flamenco dancer and for showing that the guitar is part of a dynamic, physical ensemble. Never had seen Asturias demonstrated in this fashion. Surprised me. Herr Lieske, you play with a sensitive touch - much appreciated. Danke schon.

  • Excellent, Exciting & Energetic, bravo.

  • Wonderful, at long last a guitarist who treats this piece as a dance, which it IS, not as a virtuoso showpiece.

  • Exactly how this Spanish piece is meant to be played...with a Spanish dance! Absolutely fantastic! Thanks so much for posting this.

  • Asturias is a celtic region of spain where flamenco is not danced...flamenco dancing with that song is an abomination

  • @auradar "abomination" is a rather strong word, plus Albeniz was Catalan, not even from Asturias...either way it does not sound "Celtic" in any way!
