i recommend going to menards and getting an 8 inch or maybe even a smaller drawer slide so u dont have to deal with messing with the ball bearings just sayin

I was thinking you put a blocker on the front and have a ring on one of your fingers that pulls the blocker up out of the way and BAM you got it so it won't fall out of the holder when you don't want it to.
@LORDxLEGACY Yea I was thinking something along those lines but i'm taking his base design and modifying it in a few ways, Using this style as a prototype.. But i think that i have a way set up pretty decent now. Just setting a different spring with the blocker, and another (like this one) for the retractor. sortof hard for me to explain.. I think i knew how to make it automatic we just need to add 1 more spring and paper clip but i dont think it will work. Would you make automatic hidden blade? coz if its gravity fed it sucks it isnt like the one in the game.

yesterday i found out a way to make ur desigh automatic we just need two of the spoon shaped thingy and two extension springs the first spoon shaped and the spring down and the other in the upper cover and ones whicn is down is under the blade i cant explaint it its hard only if ica n make it
Hi mate, great vids and im going to attempt to make them but I havent used drawer sliders before and im a bit stuck on the bit in this video where you say to cut the black ball bearing strips. Where are the ball bearing strips and how to you access them and take them out, any help would be much appreciated.
... (NOT SAYING YOU SHOULD DO THIS!!) but you could easialy break through wood or stab a concrete wall and the blade will stay in place. what i said below will almost completely reenforce this and make it virtualy indestructable.
...pull verticaly. also the plastic that comes on the top of the door slide that you use as a final stopper so the blade wont fly out will eventualy break. trust me. so you might want to pur a screw with a fairly large head wear the plastic used to be(you should just rip it out no use for it) and put a washer on the bottom and put a nother large headed screw facing down on the blade where it originaly stopped at with the plastic and then file it down to size(next comment)
...the part of the screw head faceing the tip of the blade to a slope and the back to a 90 degree angle then on the stationary part of the machine(the top wall) drill a hole according to how far out the blade goes and pace a screw face down in it with a gurrila glued on washer on top then place a spring inbetween the screw head and the top wall. after doing this put your mirror wire under the washer and it will be able to pull up(if it doesnt try to make a pully system so it will (next coment)
are you sure the springs you said to use in the video are right because i made everything up to that and tried both springs and the thin one works but doesnt go back to the original shape more than once and the fat one (the one you said to use) wasnt strong enough. every thing else was fine exept for the locking mechanism that barly worked for me i would suggest putting a small screw and washer on the blade (so the head of the screw is facing away from your arm) and then shave (next comment)

The "size labels" on the springs mean the following: 1/4" = a queater inch wide.
2-1/2" = how long the springs are.
0.16" = how thick the wire used to make the coil of the spring is

About how much do you think it would take to make a Dual action hidden blade? One that Retracts, as well as Launches... to make sure it doesnt come out on you by mistake lol

@MemorySplitter1995 I got a suggestion on your theory.
I was thinking you put a blocker on the front and have a ring on one of your fingers that pulls the blocker up out of the way and BAM you got it so it won't fall out of the holder when you don't want it to.

@LORDxLEGACY Yea I was thinking something along those lines but i'm taking his base design and modifying it in a few ways, Using this style as a prototype.. But i think that i have a way set up pretty decent now. Just setting a different spring with the blocker, and another (like this one) for the retractor. sortof hard for me to explain.. But i appriciate your thoughts on it, i'll definatly take it into perspective lol

I think i knew how to make it automatic we just need to add 1 more spring and paper clip but i dont think it will work. Would you make automatic hidden blade? coz if its gravity fed it sucks it isnt like the one in the game.

Question my good man. Do you think it's possible to make it a bit shorter by at least 2 inches? I'm thinking about making one, but the size to me isn't practical. Seems a bit too long. And does the tip of the blade always stick out like that? Please get back to me.

yesterday i found out a way to make ur desigh automatic we just need two of the spoon shaped thingy and two extension springs the first spoon shaped and the spring down and the other in the upper cover and ones whicn is down is under the blade i cant explaint it its hard only if ica n make it

Hi mate, great vids and im going to attempt to make them but I havent used drawer sliders before and im a bit stuck on the bit in this video where you say to cut the black ball bearing strips. Where are the ball bearing strips and how to you access them and take them out, any help would be much appreciated.

... (NOT SAYING YOU SHOULD DO THIS!!) but you could easialy break through wood or stab a concrete wall and the blade will stay in place. what i said below will almost completely reenforce this and make it virtualy indestructable.

...pull verticaly. also the plastic that comes on the top of the door slide that you use as a final stopper so the blade wont fly out will eventualy break. trust me. so you might want to pur a screw with a fairly large head wear the plastic used to be(you should just rip it out no use for it) and put a washer on the bottom and put a nother large headed screw facing down on the blade where it originaly stopped at with the plastic and then file it down to size(next comment)

...the part of the screw head faceing the tip of the blade to a slope and the back to a 90 degree angle then on the stationary part of the machine(the top wall) drill a hole according to how far out the blade goes and pace a screw face down in it with a gurrila glued on washer on top then place a spring inbetween the screw head and the top wall. after doing this put your mirror wire under the washer and it will be able to pull up(if it doesnt try to make a pully system so it will (next coment)

are you sure the springs you said to use in the video are right because i made everything up to that and tried both springs and the thin one works but doesnt go back to the original shape more than once and the fat one (the one you said to use) wasnt strong enough. every thing else was fine exept for the locking mechanism that barly worked for me i would suggest putting a small screw and washer on the blade (so the head of the screw is facing away from your arm) and then shave (next comment)

Because your not selling them, which i agree is a good thing as you get waaay more satisfaction from making it yourself, would you be willing to sell materials as I dont think we have home depot over here in the UK and its gonna be hard finding some of this stuff. (btw your videos awesome and its the best version ive seen so far)
