honda really needs to do something about those hideous blinkers. not hating on honda because i have the 09 cbr, but they could take some pointers from the look suzuki has on thier front and rear blinkers of the gsxr. come on honda....get with the program.
I agree with you there.. My 07 RR still has those floppy blinkers ! However , I still to this day can not find a descent replacement . Any suggestions ..Anybody?
i got flushmount front blinkers and a fender eliminator kit for my 07 at my local motorsports shop.... although i plan to do a conversion to the 06 style integrated taillight
Don't buy from this place! they're really dishonest! i went in to buy a ninja 250 as my first bike i called 30 minutes ahead of time to see if was still available and when i get there the idiot salesman tells me they're cleaning the carbs. I asked just to see it. We walk around for about 10 minutes all over the damn place! and when we get to the shop in the back he tells me "sorry man we've must of sold it, but we do have this other bike" . I guess they sold it within 5 minutes. What a bitch!!!!
@djntx man, is this del amo motorsports? If it is then fuck this place, you lying fucks. Service sucks and salesmen are dishonest as fuck. I fucking walked all over the place with some idiot there looking for a bike I called in for, when i got there he made me walk for 30 minutes until he said we must of sold it, but we do have this other one. Man fuck del amo motorsports.
@djntx I am a los angeles native and im planning on going to MSF and I want to ride a motorcycle at some point before I die you know i am really interested and I hear its great something cars cant offer. I drive a manual right now so I heard it will be easy to learn. How do you remain safe in Los Angeles because lots of people are idiots and I dont want to become a statistic...
@squarecnix glad to hear you will be doing MSF; definitely puts the odds in your favor and that is all you can really do. having lived in LA myself i completely agree about the drivers. first, ride as much as you can for fun - what I mean is if you have to commute (odds go worse for you), if you are upset (odds get worse again), if you are drunk, tired, etc. but I know you know all that. when it's your time it's your time (cliche but true). just make the best of your time have fun n b safe
how do i find info on ur friends shop like contacting them, i am wanting that exact model 07 600rr really bad thanks 660 232 1879 if that would be easier
you are crazy a bosa is a lot FASTER and alot faster i would never put it or the zx10 in the same class as the 600rr and i have a 05 600rr with about 5 grand done to it. ive beat a boosa out of tha hole but its 10 times faster
i need to update these vids. this particular one has been long gone but a lot of people still like to see these vids/make comments/etc. so I leave it up. sorry if it's deceiving. email me and if I get another one like it in I'll hit you up!
if you have no clue, then fuck no, if you are coming into it with a little experience atleast with like atvs or something then yea maybe if you have some self control. i got an 08 cbr600rr last may for my 21st as my first street bike. no problems. but i grew up on atvs and knew what i was getting into. if you have no experience buy a shitty dirt bike and go out in a field, or a kawasaki 250
as for comfort, im 5'11" and the cbr was by a long shot the most comofortable, followed by the gsxr and the yamaha was terrible. no sport bike is super comfortable for crusing, but this one is the best in my opinion. ive done plenty of 8 hour rides on it, only stopping for gas. it wasnt comfortable.....but im glad i didnt buy an r6, which is what i thought i wanted at first. i made the right choice.....for me
I still have the same Kawasaki ninja. I'm going to keep it for another 2 years and then get a 1000cc (w\e one I like at the time). I'm saving up right now.
I don't know much about Honda's other than they generally have less stressful riding positions and smoother power bands. In regards to stealing... all I know is Kawasaki's are pretty hard to steal, but all bikes should be about the same... Just lock the steering wheel and put it in first gear when you park it.
when i receive the money im inheriting from my fathers mother(he left when i was a child and i got to know around feb that he died and so did his mom) and im getting a licence...and then im thinking about a 250r since im new to riding or should i just go to a zx6r 08 version at the start? im 173cm tall(around 5'8"?)
1) honestly (after you get your license/permit ect) try to take a motorcycle safety course... yes it's all common sense BS... but practicing it in a group with trained professionals coaching you helps way more than you'd think it does.
2) stay away from 750cc+ and "Double RR" bikes
3) You are going to crash (at least once). I crashed once (locking up the front tire under heavy breaking). Everyone crashes once. Keep this in mind when buying your bike and gear. (aka: don't buy your dream bike).
Get a 250r , ride that for like a month, and then get a Yamaha R6.
The 250r has a very high resale value, and it's a great starting bike. You'll want to get used to riding on the street before you can get used to the power of a 600.
3? all it takes is 2.... unless you're not strong, they only weigh less then 400 lbs, if the truck was riding low, I could probably get it done alone, cuz think of it, you pick up the front end which weighs a little more then the back end, so say 250 lbs, then the back end, because of the angle it would weigh 200 lbs, now of course, doing it alone means not doing a nice job of it and scratching the side a bit
i mean some can be good but as a first bike... I think it's not worth the risk. You should spend your time worrying about riding techniques, not fixing up your bike.
The ninja I bought was ok for a week, then I started twisting the throttle a little hard and before I knew it I had a shattered gear rod. It's almost 100% confirmed that the guy I bought it from abused it and raced it. The problem is not just paying for the repair... it's that I didn't have my bike for over 1.5 months. It wasn't fun
I'm about the same (6'0" & 185lbs) Unfortunately I started out with a Ninja 250 a year ago via the great recommendations. It's a great bike, but it gets old fast. It's really fun to corner with but horrible on freeways. I'd say just go to a dealer and try a few things out (also try not to buy a used bike from a private seller (my first bike went wrong that way)). I'd start with a 600cc inline4 or a 650 v twin like the SV650 or katana. Dont start 1000cc it's just not fun learning to corner on one
the best thing is to just visit a shop or sit on a few friend's bikes to see what it's like. generally speaking sport bikes are not cozy. expect to be sitting aggresively (better for handling) but some are more comfortable than others. you're about the same height as rossi but you weigh a bit more than a racer; even 600s are torquey enough to handle you but you'll hear macho riders saying you need more cc's. it's up to you. ideally get an older 750 and take it ez! later J
Sweet bike, where is your shop? What would you recommend for someone who wants a bike but is 6' 4" Seems like 600's look tiny under me, what do you think.
sorry to say but most bikes aren't designed for the taller guys. sad but true. either way, you'll just have to sit on a few to see how it feels. in some cases, for example the R1 is lower in height than the r6 but feels great for taller riders. i'd worry less about cc's and focus more on fit feel and experience. they'll be more bikes but there's only 1 you so choose wisely!
I'm looking for a bike, but I'm a real small person and they all seem so big. 600cc is probably the largest size I'd ever get. What sort of bike should I be looking for? e.g. whats the smallest 600 sportbike available? Can anyone help me?
Hey.. im acually 13 and 5'6" right now and looking to get this bike once im 16 and once i have my M license.. im not gonna be racing it or anything, just using for street bike..
and im already into motocross, soon upgrading to a 2007 kx 250f..
is the CBR 600 a good bike for me? like once im 16 n all
um I would highly discourage you from getting any 600 street bike. if you have dirt riding experience that will help. But I would work from a starter bike for atleast a year, then get a 600. Sometimes its not you, just traffic in general and car drivers who are half alseep or talking on the cell phone will not see you most of the time. When I ride I do my best to get away from rest of the traffic as much as possible, if I can't I'm always ready to ditch or pull off to the shoulder.
bro you really do need to learn how to drive a car first and really see how people are on the road , and not with mommy driving you need to get behind the wheel and really see what is like ive been driving for 6-7 years now and i just got on a bike . You are trying to take to big of a leap trust me bro dont get that bike yet
For a first bike NO WAY. Go with a 650r Ninja. Actually faster off the line, but the cbr will catch it. The 650r is geared better and easier to handle due to the more upright body position. Once you get more comfortable, switch out the bar to a straight bar
Hey, I am 6'3" and 190lbs. I am a slender dude but not an total skeleton. I am seeking to get my first motorcycle and was looking into the CBR600. I have never ridden a bike before so would this be a good place to start. I was told to look into the CBR1000, but I think that's too much power for me a first time owner/rider. What says you? Please help me. Have you any suggestions for other makes/models?
First bike, i'd suggest starting on a 250. The current sports 600 bikes all put out the same amount of power as 1000s from the early 90s and you will be overwhelmed. My 600rr is my fourth bike (started on dirt as a kid) and it is plenty for the road. Whilst you might *survive* starting on a 600, a 250 will teach you more about maintaining corner speed to keep up... you'll be too busy shitting yourself to learn much on the 600 for some time.
If you can, try and find a CBR250RR, Kawasaki ZXR-250 (aka ZX2-R), or FZR250. They're all 4 cylinder screamers (rev to 17,000rpm +) - whilst they're not as quick as a 400, they're certainly quicker than a 250 ninja, have better brakes, etc. You'll likely be able to sell one of those for what you pay for it and upgrade to a 600 in a year or so once you've got some road experience. The small bikes can be fun anyway - I have an 07 600rr and just bought an RGV250 for thrashing :)
Oh, one more thing - the 600rr is a small bike. Next to my RGV250, they're not a lot bigger in terms of physical size. The 600rr has the same wheelbase as a aprilia RS250 in fact... for the record though i'm a shade over 6 foot and fit no problems on an RGV250, 600rr, or Ninja 250...
hey dude im about 6'1 190lbs and i started on a 600rr after i took the MSF classes and i did fine. youll get bored of a 250 so fast and 600rr is really easy to ride.
i am thinking about getting a bike this summer, my friend told me get Honda cbr 600, or a Yamaha R6. & not get anything fuel injected, like gixer or something. and he said that ill kill myself if I get a Gixer. why is this? anyone have any idea's on what's a good beginner bike that I can pop a wheelie on after I take classes, and I have never even driven a bike before :/ Thx I appreciate suggestion's.
I bought the 06' CBR600RR as my first bike (brand new). The only experience I had was what I had read in magazines. I bought it & dropped it one block away from the dealership. I did manage to successfully ride from San Diego to Canada and back. I finally totaled it in Hawaii. I love the bike so much I bought the new 07'. I have 4.5K on the 07' but the bike still out performs this rider. It's my nature...if I'm going to do something, I'm going all out. If it is your 1st, don't be stupid!
analogy: superbike = samurai sword. practice with dull sword first not the sharpest most venomous one that can hurt, if not kill you. your fundamental skills will be better if you develop on a lesser sword first. When given the opportunity to use a more powerful one later you will exhibit and enjoy more with greater ability!
i also would NOT reccomend a 600cc for your first.. i started with a ninja 250r which gets around just as good as any.. after a year got a 03 600rr and i catch myself lets say a little to aggressive which would easily put me in a casket.. simply said.. get your fundamentals before you go all out
Well some people dont have enough money to be bothered to buy 250cc and sell it then buy 600cc. I know i wont be going for 250 at all although new kawasaki's look sweet.
Do you have any more '07 for sale right now?

I wouldnt recomend this as y our first bike, maybe 2nd or 3rd but not first. Ride a year or 2 then consider it maybe.

I agree, even then, this bike isnt really road-friendly unless you plan on breaking the law.

What if the person who got this as their first road bike had years of experience with dirt bikes..like 250 2 strokes and 450 4 strokes?

i am thinking about getting a bike this summer, my friend told me get Honda cbr 600, or a Yamaha R6.
