Paper Mario came out for the Nintendo 64 in 2000/2001 and later saw re-release on the Wii Virtual Console.

It also received two sequels, "Paper Matio: The Thousand-Year Door" for the Gamecube in 2004 and "Super Paper Mario" for the Nintendo Wii in 2007. There is another sequel currently in development for the Nintendo 3DS.

I recommend each game, they're all a lot of fun!

@AlphaOrigin personaly i wouldnt recomend the Super Paper Mario, it wasnt really a connected sequal as it was a stand alone game, but Paper Mario 64 and Paper mario the thousand year door were great games, and personally would recoment those 2 until Paper Mario 3DS is released, and judging by the demo footage from E3, it looks like they went further and beyond with what i wouldve expected.

@Torterra625 Well, everyone has there own opinion on super paper mario, but personally, I dont like it. Its not that it snt connected to the paper mario 1 and 2 storyline, but I just did not like the gameplay of it, it was more like a bigger version of a regular mario game with the ability to switch between camra angles. to sum it up, id say its a victim of trying to hard to make a game with a techno style to it.

Boy, when I played this game back in the day, I played it from morning to evening and beat it every Saturday for a whole year. I was really into it... until my Nintendo 64 died..... *sniff* It's great that they're making a 3DS version. ^w^ That way I could keep my record on how many times I beat it.
