@jetmea They have been known to stop growing if the tank is to small. Also whoever posted this video give the poor fish an environment! there not fucking ornaments you know.
ummm.. my fish keeping manual has won three awards and says silver sharks, red tailed-black sharks and black tailed white sharks should not be kept with the same species as they mark their territory and will get aggresive with any fish that enters its territory
actually thats right but if you over stock a tank with aggresive fish like sharks and they do it with ciclids they wont be aggresive because they are so cramped one doens't have a chance to become dominant.
Nothing wrong with having one redtailed shark in your tank with silver sharks. Just don't get more than one. The redtailed sharks will fight to kill one another. I had three. One got killed. I gave the aggressive one away.
All the passive one does is look at my large silver shark. During feeding time the large shark will chase the redtailed around but it doesn't last long.
My bigger shark is just a pig. he chases his friend silver shark in a corner to eat up the food.
you need gravel in there

Silver sharks are not agressive fish, they are only named sharks due to the shape of there fins

Then you haven't kept your sharks alive long enough to reach adulthood.
