@darnielng you didn't order a m6600 as there was zero bloatware except for trend antivirus. I't doesn't even come with dell config utils installed. At the precision level Dell gives it to you clean. no reinstall needed and for professionals cost is more about overall efficiency and service not saving a couple hundred bucks.
If you guys want to see the insides (mobo, graphics card, CPU socket, etc), I wrote a disassembly guide here: dmach.net/blog/2011/10/18/dell-precision-m6600-vs-m6400-hardware-overview-disassembly/
There's a LOT packed into that chassis, I like the simplistic look of the new Dell Precisions, they can be specced with a hell of a lot of power, if you got the cash.
VERY nice setup you have there, I have two questions:
1) What is the stand u are using for your laptop? I like to use Griffin Elevator, very "seemless" and minimalistic and lot of air around for the laptop to "breathe".
2) What do you think of the hinges on the M6600? Are they sturdy like the thinkpad ones?
@dgdraftinguy1979 Thank you very much! Hmm, I wonder about the E-View, isnt it blocking the rear exhaust fans?? It seems to me that the stand itself has a poor cooling design (apart from M6600 which has great cooling design). I m buying the M6600 soon so I m a bit curious bout the stand, cause I want the lappy to feed 2x Dell U2711 LCDs and do some intensive graphic work, I m a bit worried abou proper cooling.
Hi, can you see if the TRL and TDP are adjustable with throttle stop 3.0. I sent you a message via youtube on my video. thanks. I want to get a similar setup like this but want to overclock it and want to know if it is possible or if the bios is locked.
may I ask why you chose this laptop over the Alienware? I have that dilemma. thanks.

Avoid buying DELL !!!
I am a disappointed user of Dell Precisions.
1. Expensive
2. Bad quality built
3. Lousy OEM software and bloatware. e.g. Synaptics driver from dell is like it didn't go thru the testing phase.
Horrible, horrible. horrible.
Should have gotten a Sony Vaio Z, HP Elitebook, or Lenovo w700.

@darnielng
Sony Vaio Z series are not workstations, 13 inch screen and much more expensive than the Dell M6600.
A simular equiped HP Elitebook is also more expensive with more bloatware. HP support is poor.
Lenovo w700 are no longer available from Lenovo, their oem software will bring this laptop to it's knees.

@janekthedevil
1. The stand is the Dell E-View Laptop Stand with E-Port replicator.
2. The higes seem as solid as the M6500 wich i used a couple of years with out a problem. I've never worked with thinkpad notebooks so not sure.

What are the specs of your notebook?
I never liked the RAM behind the keyboard deal, but here it doesn't seem to be that bad.
